One time banker and now a successful actress Soha Ali Khan is doubly lucky. She has Bollywood as well as Hollywood movie on hand. Excited with the success of her recently released 'Rang De Basanti', Soha is proud of bagging Hollywood's 'Postcard'. This is an Indian director Rajshree Ojha's movie that has been based in Los Angeles for quite some time. Among Indian movies, she is working in Sanjay Gupta's 'Dus Kahaniyan', besides Rituparno Ghosh' movie starring her mother Sharmila Tagore and 'Page 3' fame Konkana Sen Sharma.

Meera returning to India

Meera of Pakistan isn't out of Indian cinema; maybe she was down for some time following the controversy of 'Rockin Meera' being allegedly made on her life without her consent. Now, she has announced that she is coming back to India with a bang with three movies in her kitty. Significantly, she will be acting again with her mentor Mahesh Bhatt in the latter's 'Akelapan'. Besides, she claims to be acting in Neeraj's ' Mera Dil Meri Jaan' and in a Feroz's movie.

Abbas-Mastan's next in Australia

The success of '36 China Town' has encouraged Abbas-Mastan to make another movie. Yes, this is going to be another thriller as the producers repose confidence in the duo for such genre of movies only. Their new experiment in a new genre 'Tarzan -The Wonder Car' didn't succeed. This time the duo will make the movie under the banner of Tips. Though the movie isn't titled yet, its cast is almost decided. This will comprise a galaxy of stars - Saif Ali Khan and Bipasha Basu and Fardeen Khan and Katrina Kaif, (possibly both pairs for the first time). Another pair will be a repeat though; Anil Kapoor opposite Mallika Sherawat. Both worked together in Ram Gopal Verma's 'Darna Zaroori Hai'. Anil has very high hopes from Mallika who he considers is a very sensitive and talented actress. Abbas-Mastan are confidant to resume it's shooting in September and complete in November this year and that too in Australia.

Deepa's small movie on Punjabi bride

Deepa Mehta of the 'Water' fame has planned a small movie this time. The movie is titled 'Heaven On Earth' and its story centers around the life of a bride from Punjab and how she changes soon after the marriage in a short span of seven days. When asked who will be the leading lady in her movie, she says that she is definitely not from Bollywood. Will the movie be in Hindi like 'Water', she says, " No, This will be in Punjabi but with a smattering of English."? She added, " Though 'Water' is made in Hindi language, it's far from being a Bollywood movie." Of course, she is making a mega movie too; this is titled 'Exclusion' starring Amitabh Bachchan and John Abraham, beside others.

Amol's bilingual 'Quest'

Actor-turned director Amol Palekar has completed his bilingual movie 'Quest' in 24 days. The movie was conceived for a Marathi version .So, the Marathi title is 'Thaang'. The movie forms part of a trilogy -- his earlier movies being 'Daarya' and 'Anahat'. These movies center on man-woman relationship and female sexuality. Thus, Palekar says that 'Quest' explores more facets of sexuality, and attempts to delve deeper into human relationships. Regarding the story, Palekar adds, "The female protagonist is a lawyer and her husband is a chef in Mumbai. They live together but in a moment face a crisis. Then, both have to balance between their personal and professional relationships.
