Mumbai, March 21 (TruthDive): Oscar nominated filmmaker Bruce Beresford, who is currently in India, is planning to make a biopic on former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It is believed that he is considering superstar Shahrukh Khan for the role of Jawaharlal Nehru in the Hollywood movie. If everything goes well, SRK will reprise the role of Nehru.
On the Oscar nominated filmmaker Bruce's arrival to India, a bash party was thrown in honour of him in the plush Juhu bungalow. The dinner was hosted by well-known dentist Dr Pradhan and in the party Bruce Beresford spoke about his plans to make film on Indira Gandhi.
Though the party had its fair share of star filmmakers, there were also a significant number of actors who are in the autumn of their careers. It was interesting to watch the Driving Miss Daisy director being wooed by a few yesteryear actresses, but he was gracious enough to sit through it all.
Bruce Beresford, who has directed movies like Oscar-winning 'Driving Miss Daisy' and the action 'Double Jeopardy', has plans to do a biopic on former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Beresford's team used sophisticated technology to superimpose faces of Bollywood and Hollywood actors on to the characters in the film to get a better understanding of who would best suit the roles.
At the recent dinner party, Beresford showcased a PowerPoint presentation there which had morphed faces of many Hollywood and Bollywood actors as Indian politicians to be incorporated into the movie. Amongst those supposed to play vital characters in the movie are Shah Rukh Khan and Charlize Theron. Especially, there was quite a flutter in the room when SRK's face morphed into that of Jawaharlal Nehru.
If everything goes fine, we will see the new avatar of Shahrukh khan in Hollywood movie.
