Maan was by now a little nervous, he looked at Adi then at Geet, he was not able to understand what he should do, he looked at the sky, Baba ji what is this? What do you want from me? This girl has already caused harm, she had me almost drowned and now she is again here, is she following me? Has those evil four send her after me? May be that's why she told Kamya where I were hiding, Baba ji what is all this. His thoughts were broken by Adi' voice, "wh' what a ar are you doing in my my house?" She gave him a stern look, "whatever but what do you think you were doing talking to Shyama in a female voice" Maan was confused he looked again at the sky, Baba ji she knows Shyama, she sure is their spy, Baba ji now what will happen, she will tell them about all this, Baba ji why don't you do something.

She looked at him with fuming eyes, she was about to hit him, when Maan came in between and instead of Adi she fisted Maan on his eye, due to sudden impact he fell down, and was about to hit his head on the nearby cot, Adi looked at his falling friend and before he could react Pinky came out and both she and Geet held his spread hands one each and stopped him from falling, they pulled him and helped him stand straight, his eye has swollen blue and black. Geet looked at him with pleading eyes, "sorry, it was not meant for you, it was for him but why did you come in between" Maan looked at her with awe, his eye was hurting, he said, "you are their spy?" Geet looked at him puzzled and said, "Spy? Me? Whose spy?"

Adi patted him on his shoulder, "she is not any spy Maan, she is Geet and that is Pinky" Maan looked at them and then at Adi, "you know them, you know she is the same girl who helped Kamya yesterday" Adi gave the girls a dismissing look, "you girls always interfere in others matter, do you even know he would have been dead by now" Pinky was very annoyed, "but he is ok, Geet saved him. And what a man he is, he does not even know how to swim" Adi protested, "he knows how to swim" Geet laughed, "ok then why was he drowning then" Adi did not reply, Pinky joined in to laugh, Maan was irritated, "I am afraid of that river" he shouted.

Geet looked at him in shock, "you afraid, no doubt first you are afraid of that girl and now water, oh my Damsel in distress" Adi did not like it and shouted, "enough of all this, why are you two here?" Geet kept quiet and looked at Pinky, "I wanted to meet you but alas, well that's good I came by, now I know what a crook you are? Blackmailing people rather I would say women" Maan objected, "we were blackmailing no one" Geet, "so what all we heard was all untrue" Adi said, "half true" Pinky, "why were you talking to Shyama?" Maan asked, "you know her, I mean you know Shyama" Pinky said, "yes we know her" Maan pleaded, "please tell me where she lives" both girls said together "NO"

Adi indicated Maan to stop pleading, and said, "ok don't tell we will sooner or later find out, you girls are not worth our trust" now this really hurt Pinky, she stepped back and turned but then she instantly turned back and pulled Adi's shirt and said, "I never thought you think so low about me, Adi I loved you from the very first day I saw you, inspite of you being a nerd I came all the way to this HSPur just to meet you, but" she stopped abruptly. Adi smirked and winked at baffled Maan, "you always say you love me, still you doubt my integrity, Pinky wake up, I may not be a rich man as your Daddy but I am a man with high self respect and you stand here to watch this chipkali friend of yours trying to hit me, this is your love" Pinky was in tears, Geet pulled her back, "Pinky he is trying to make you week so that you will tell him about Shyama, he is emotionally blackmailing you" Adi stepped forward and pulled Pinky's arm, "see this Geet she is again bad mouthing me and you are just standing here shedding tears"

Maan had enough of all this, he fell on Pinky's feet and said, "Pinky ji, don't be rude to Adi, he is just trying to help me, I will tell you the truth, but please tell me where this Shyama lives" Pinky was taken aback by his gesture, his eyes were filled with tears threatening to fall, she sat down and covered his joined hands with hers, "don't plead, Mr. I will tell you her address" Geet shouted, "oye Pinky they are fooling you, they are crooks, look he knows how to swim still he pretended to be drowning, they are after something big, let us go and tell Veer ji about all this and let him decide" Pinky wiped her tears and said, "no Geet this man looks genuine and rather if Adi is with him he cannot be wrong" Adi smiled at her, he knew whatever the conditions may be Pinky could never doubt him.

Geet sat on the cot frustrated and said, "ok but let him first tell his part of story" Pinky agreed, "yes first you tell why do you want her address, BTW what is your name" Maan replied, "Maan, my name is Maan" Pinky smiled between tears, "nice name but do you know the meaning of this name" he nodded in a yes, she said, "then why don't you stand up as your name with all pride" he just smiled weakly, Geet said, "enough of both of you am waiting for the story"

Maan said, "I have a sister Anwesha, 7 years younger to me. When I were 15 yrs old that is about 6 yrs back I lost my father, he is said to have drowned in the river" Pinky patted his shoulder, "oh that's why you are afraid of the river: he nodded and continued, "I were in 10^th std then the news came to us when I have just returned from Chandigarh after giving my final exams, my sis ter Annie, I mean Anwesha was 8 yrs old then, my father had only a year back remarried to Pammi who already had 2 children Dev and Kamya" Geet interrupted, "Kamya, the same girl who told me that you are her fianc" he nodded, "after a month of the news of my father's death Pammi took Annie with her for a trip, later she came back but did not bring back my little sister, when my dadi asked about her she told that she had admitted her in a boarding school, and if we want her to be safe we have to do what she tells us to, from that day we do what she says" Pinky was all in tears, "poor soul, did you ever get a chance to meet your sis" he said, "no, but every year on her birthday she would show us her latest photograph"

Pinky was about to tell him about Shyama, but Geet said, "ok it's been 6 yrs and you did not try to reach her, then why all of the sudden you want to know about her" he did not say anything, just looked at her. Adi shrugged in frustration and said, "you spy girl, why do you see so many detective movies, and read so many Sherlock Holmes novels, girl, listen Maan is going to be 21 in just 17 days, and they want his signature on the property papers and to the knowledge of your pea sized brain, I must tell you that he has no intention of doing and they are planning to use Dadi and Annie as bait" Geet nodded, "oh like that, but to your kind information my brain is not of pea size' he interrupted, "even smaller" she shouted, "Pinky, I will not take further insult" Pinky said, :Adi please, ok Maan Shyama is in Baddi" Adi exclaimed, "that industrial belt near Chandigarh" Geet said, "yes, she manages the canteen in one of my father's factory" Maan was shocked, "you mean Shyama is not a part of any boarding school" Geet nodded since morning for the first time she felt bad for Maan, "yes and there is no girl by the name Annie or Anwesha there" Maan looked at her as if he has just fallen down a crest, "wait this can not be possible, wait let me show you her photo" he extracted plastic pouch from his pocket and gave the girls 6 photgraphs, they saw them and were shocked.
