Rekkha and Smriti turn producers

Be it television or films, people behind the scences hardly make news, unless of course they are a Rekkha Modi. The infamous script writter who make news because of her much publicised war with Smriti Irani, when the latter claimed that Rekkha was not only conspring against her, but also made threatening calls to her. Things took a dramatic turn when the issue reached the court wherein surprisingly Rekkha emerged victorious. Now she is all set to be Smriti's competitor since both of them have gotten into production( Smriti is getting into co-production with Ekta kapoor). Rekkha is co-producing Betiyaan on Zee TV. She is also producing her first Bhojpuri film. Confirming the news Rekkha says," Yes, I have taken up production. I have been scouting for locations in UP for my Bhojpuri film and then my serial Betiyan is happening too".

Betiyaan was well received by channel during the first script,"I was asked to produce it following which i got an offer from a number of production houses for 50 percent partnership( their money and creativity)," explains Rekkha. Modi has also written the screenplay and dialogues for a Satish Kaushik film. She says Salman Khan was finalised, but he hasn't signed it due to lack of dates. But more than waiting to see salman in the film, people are wondering when Smriti's and Rekkha's projects will be aired.
