Oh my my!! The world has erupted overnight thanks to a sensual and classy Consummation scene shown on Indian television. And we have the whole new host of people who have never watched the show critic on our forum about the sleazy nature of the portrayal of the BIG C.. I say JEALOUS? May be.😉 Or the story of Sour grapes??😉 Whatever it is.. I don't really care. For all BALH Fans, this ended up being the best consummation night in the history! People do get upset when someone who's due gets their credit and more for splending performance. I don't think anything else would be a bit answer than Ram's tweet itself. "Never hate people who are jealous of you, but respect their jealousy becoz they're the ones who think you're better than them" So let's take all the so called criticism and the increased base of BALH followers in our stride coz they know we are better and so is our show!

Now coming to the moral police who have overnight turned up in numbers. I do have a few pointers to you.
1) We are no longer a nation with heroines clad in closed attires in Bollywood. They give a run for their money with their item songs that its gotten difficult to identify the heroine with the side character! We applaud Chikni chameli's and Munni badnaam hui! We love our kids to dance to them and have no problems watching those songs before them. And they are just an example of those mushrooming sleazy songs in every movie. Unlike the TV medium, where we have a choice with a weapon called REMOTE, we don't possess thse when it comes to watching movies on theaters. We need to put up with those Hollywood movie trailers which involves a love making scene most definitely. Apart from those crass jokes and sleazy songs and attires!!Where were you then?
2)We are not watching a se***l intercourse between two couples and french kissing. It was mere touching of lips with a man stamping his territory and acknowledging his love. There was nothing that was portrayed which doesn't happen in real life. Why the fuss over a love making scene when you were warned enough before that Ram and Priya were gonna become one throughout the weekend. This is more like you watch out of curiousity and need to complain.
3)HT can check out the vulgar and crass pictures they print in the name of entertainment which according to me is much worse! Talk about double standards. I like to point back right at them!
4)What's up with the kids discussions here? Kids have access to internet more than any of us did in teh previous generation. MTV shows faar worse scenes and tht too nt between a couple in love! Every body has a diff parenting style. You let your children watch TV at this hour and then don't complain about the natural progression in a couple's life. Since there is a other crowd that would argue why children shouldn't be allowed TV post 8 or 9 pm.. And u know they are also part of moral policing!
5)Just because some of us are not grown enough to differentiate real and fiction, just because we don't know to appreciate art when presented aesthetically, just because we want to be in the headlines, and just because we need to be a hypocrite inspite of enjoying the episode, don't look for a show to blame it! THe joke is clearly on U!
6)WRT the content on Indian television, I would rather watch this show where they stay close to real life than watching ridiculous Saas bahu dramas. I would want my daughter to know that she has an equal right to participate in the cnsummation with her husband than to let her know that its alright to be on ur Saas's feet and endure the torture!
7)My worst fear is not that we have not grown up to watch a beautiful portrayal of a scene where there was no skin show and vulgarity but that we chose to slam someone for showing us reality! The hypocrite world took its ugly head to again bark at the wrong tree! I dn't doubt your intentions as a critic but say something where its relevant and not just because you need to fill some words in your posts!

Very, very, very, very Well said.👏

I don't know if people are intentionally being narrow-minded and illinformed or if it's just an accident: but the irony of people using words like "vulger" "tasteless" "inappropriate" is just too comical for words.
I simply cannot believe where people are getting these ideas from. Did they watch the scene? AND have they scene OTHER scenes in Bollywood? AND also stating "Children shouldnt watch such things" Well...errmm the show isn't meant for children anyways.
As I've said before:
Hater's Gonna Hate.
Let them.

"critics" is too kind a word for these people my dear.
I am simply blown away by the hypocrisy, the narrow mindedness and the downright illogical leaps that some of these so-called critics are making...

the best thing would be to ignore them...

Thanks Reeha!!
The choice of words clearly shows the mindset and I guess I was naive to think they were critics! But yes.. hypocrites and haters do not qualify here!

No, its more about women understanding that they are not meant to be sexually repressed; and there is a certian level of comfort being with your partner: That your marriage isn't about you giving simply your body to your husband, but being together as one.

this is not a constitutional issue; rather a MENTAL issue: it depeneds on how open you are: what you're values are, and how judgemental; also if you prefer to take one simply kiss and blow it up as if it were po*nographic..
This is about re-evaluating the values of society; trying to take the conservative vail of hypocrisy off.
