Manan

A small town boy with dreams larger than life, Manan Sharma, is just another person who wants to make it big in the world. Manan thrives to be powerful, independent, and live in the moment, but his conservative upbringing restricts his ideal way of living. Being nave, Manan is easily peer pressured into "fitting" into the city lifestyle of Mumbai, but his love for his wife and desire to keep her happy is as genuine as love and determination can be. Abhilasha

Filled with innocence and life, Abhilasha is the perfect combination of maturity and liveliness. Traditional yet modern, Abhilasha believes in living simple. She believes that love, trust, and happiness are the most important in life because success follows them. A loving wife and an obedient daughter in law, she usually finds herself caught in situations where she has to choose between her family and husband's wishes.

Seema Sharma ' Manan's mother

Traditional and conservative by nature, Seema believes that husbands' make the money and last decision and the wives' take care of the household and the family. Although Seema's personality comes off as controlling, she is just a mother who is looking out for her children; to keep them safe from getting lost in the unrelenting city crowd.

Manan's father (I don't remember the name)

An honest and hardworking father who wants to provide his children a lifestyle he could not have. Calm and composed by nature, he is a paradox to his wife Seema because he believes in equality between the genders and living life without compromising respect and his children's dreams. Although he is traditional, he is open to good changes that the new generation brings forth.

Sidhu

Manan's childhood friend, Sidhu is the friend who plays the mediator between Manan's and Abhilasha's misunderstanding. Always on a lookout to help his buddy, Sidhu is the ideal friend one needs to provide clear focus and practicality when one's mind is taken over by anger and frustration.

Deep

The comic relief of the show, Deep is introduced as Sidhu's roommate who eventually becomes part of Manan's friend circle. Always ready to take the side of his beloved 'Bhabhi,' and gorge on her delicious homemade food items, Deep provides the 'masti' quotient in the show.

Hands down the funniest scene of the week was when Seema (Amma), Ridhi, and Sumit "surprise" and give Manan and Abhilasha a shock of their life!

From Manan smilingly sheepishly even after getting slapped, to Amma taking everyone's class the next morning, the scene was directed and acted out brilliantly. The real fun starts when Abhilasha lips the word "Amma" to Manan, while Manan is still in a process of getting over his 'Bhaang ka nasha'... when he slowly turns, blinks, and amma's face comes into his focus.. the girly scream that Manan lets out is priceless! Aise toh koi bhoot ko bhi dekh ke na darr jaaye! 😆

And Amma tops of Manan's scream by yelling out "Nalayak!" in a total "that's how my mom says it too!" manner.

Seema (Amma) and Manan owned the scene for me, Amma's acting was top class and Manan had perfect coming timing and expressions. I was more impressed by Sonarika in the show, but I can see that Ankit is getting better, and has his forte in comedy perhaps
