Don't know who is the dialogue writer but it was really touchy. I got tears in my eyes. Really Aarti is very lucky to get such in laws. Itna pyar toh apne bhi nahin de paate yaar jitna Aarti ke saas sasur de rahe hain. Take eg of Yash sister. No body is thinking about her remarriage so, her anger is justified. I hope mujhe bhi Aarti ke jaise saas sasur mile.😃😃😃😃

I absolutely agree, I loved him in that scene! So far, I have really been loving Yash's dad, and every time he opens his mouth, whether it is to bring his wife on line or to praise the Dubey's my respect for him increases. I am detecting some real, heartfelt sincerity in him, and he really seems too good of a guy to actually be a negative character (and I am well aware that there may come a time in the future where my view can be completely contradicted, but I really hope it doesn't come to that). I think he is a simple man, who has his own views on life but ultimately at the end of the day the happiness and well being of his children is the most important thing to him. He accepted Prateek & Paridi's relationship despite being a conservative guy, and he looked very pleased with Yash when he unknowingly supported Ansh and Aarti by telling his mom that Ansh should be allowed to come with Aarti post marriage!

I don't find anything too wrong with his statement that by doing all this, it will become easier for Aarti to respect them and they'll be able to adapt her to their lifestyle in a much quicker fashion. All the MIL/FILs in our culture wants the respect and some sort of control over their DILs, so his thinking wasn't something too crazy or out of this world. Plus, I am absolutely loving the control he has over his wife, because really without him she'll be a total vamp. She wants things done her way, is quick to blame others for her mistake, and is unwilling to anything that goes against her, so really if it wasn't for Yash's dad (whose name I really need to know), she'd make everyone miserable! I have a feeling that as long as things go smoothly with the girls/Aarti/Ansh post marriage he really won't be a problem, plus it's always wonderful to see a supportive FIL who has all the power in the house :)

@Allbut1: completely agree with you...i like yash's father...he is not too overbearing...he is an old guy..so, has some old views about relationships...but at the same time, he has quite a modern outlook...i think he is a balanced guy who knows where to speak which words...

I like Yash's father so far, but I'm apprehensive that once they go home, he'll reveal to Gayatri that he's acting this nice to gain the favor of the Dubeys. I really hope it doesn't come to that, as he's such a sweet, supportive FIL.
