Sorry for the delay. I had written this down immediately after the first telecast of the show yesterday but had no net connection and so my post got delayed. Anyway, putting this up in the Forum for Shweta, my buddies and all those non-members of the Forum too because even if no one likes or comments on my post, I know it is a silent oasis in the barren desert of daily monotonous life, like some of your posts are to me. Thank you for encouraging me all through.
BUCKETBALL & NAMING CEREMONY
If we saw chess yesterday, it was Basketball today or shall we say Bucketball! The two lovebirds dribbled words, warily eyeing their opponent, moved about in circles, not quite touching but close enough to, ran dribbling the ball (arguments) from one side of the court to another (Gupta Kitchen to AR office) and finally dunked their basketball into their buckets. Or mugs! But they had to pause the game again, it was a tie. Like it had been a tie at the chess yesterday. There's a tie breaker coming up, and hope it shows up soon. Want to know badly who will win the 'Love Cup 2012' in the end.
Not an episode that has interpretations, really, but it was fun watching it.
PICKING POINTERS:
- Naming ceremony today. Payal and Akash had a phone romance today. Uuu! And what did I just hear: drop the 'Ji's? So people, its Payal and Akash from now on. But the ceremony didn't end there: Kushi Kumari Gupta was re-christened as Kushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada (try saying that fast thrice). Now next time if Arnav asks her about an 'A' on her mehendi, she can employ a stronger defense using the three free 'A's of the added last surname. Oh and wait, naming ceremony not over: Arnav's got his coming as well. Unless he's got a convincing plan on his mind to get Kushi back at Shantivan in 2 hours.
- Nani was nice today: admonishing her Chotey that there was blood on his hands too for hurting both the families and that he was to not only bring Kushi back but also say sorry to the Guptas. Nice move, Nani! But sad to see that Arnav didn't do his homework. You must punish him, Nani! Give him imposition: tell him to write his wife's new 5-worded name 700 times.
- Loved the way Kushi reacted to his 'class' sarcasm. Bad boy! You asked for it. Also when he threw the water on her, loved how she flung her hair from her face and ran at him. I mean, the flinging and the running. Fire, girl, you're on fire! And loved her retorting dialogue after that: "Now, 'you' look classy!" Also, reminded me of her Hot Tea throw at him when she thought he had been holding her dupatta. Contrasts linking the past and the future...
- And extremely extremely loved his throw of an entire bucket on her. But the best part was when the London conference team arrived and they find the great Indian tycoon of AR industries Arnav Singh Raizada toying water with his wife! Ha! Now is that embarrassing or what! If the secretary hadn't introduced him, the delegates would have thought he was just the janitor of the building, washing the floors in a suit. They must have thought how rich Arnav was to even have suit-wearing cleaners to work at his place. Rich indeed! Totally rocked how Kushi kept restating that she was his wife and had every rights to exist there.
- Liked Arnav's dialogue of "will straighten you at home." What plans hove you in mind Arnav bitwa? Do you have special tools for straightening felines or do you use your hands? *wink*
- Last scene Arnav is tormented by Kushi's remarks of finding a new name. Are you frustrated about what other hot name suits you other than Arnav? How about 'Barun'? No? Too boyish? Hmmm...I think NK is good at suggestions, I can hear him think: Raavan Singh Raizada, Naanav Singh Raizada...
- Roy? Their lawyer? An urgent meeting with him? Blimey! what's cooking here now...
- Loved how Kushi told him to pick her up at the Gupta kitchen. He was appalled but she was determined. How much she liked being carried in her arms!! She's even asking for it! And she even camouflages her begging tone with a challenging one! "If you want me back home, you will have to carry me!"*wink*
- Okay, so, Arnav was expecting Kushi at the office. Its true what he told Shyam last day: he knows his wife well. And to add to the heat of the game, he even posts two huge bodyguards and assigns them with her photos. Wonder where he got that photo from...sneaked a snap? But the bigger fact: he actually SAVED it in his phone, and didn't want to delete it. Does he look at it before sleeping every night?
- Hmmm...Shyam Ji looks disturbed when he notices Anjali knitting something for their unborn child. I can almost hear the child question his expression: don't you want me, Daddy? And wow wait! Hold your reins! What is he intending by telling Anjali that Kushi and Arnav are hiding something? Everything he has ever done to get them separate has ended in bringing them together. Recent instance: he tells Anjali of his dissatisfaction in having Kushi unlawfully at the house, and what does Anjali do? Goes and gets the lawful rituals done immediately and Kushi's accepted as Arnav's wife. Like the idea really: if Anjali tries to find out what Chotey and Kushi are hiding, the fact that it is a contract marriage, they are sleeping separate and they are fooling around will all come out, thereby clearing Kushi's name from the 'hurter list' and subsequently leading to the revelation of Shyam's truth!
CONTRAST CORNER:
- Buaji and Amma want her to leave so badly that when she actually does tell them she's leaving and runs for the door, Buaji runs after her saying not to. Ha!
- Yesterday Kushi addressed her husband as Unhonay and Nani was like Kinonay? Today the bodyguards addressed their boss as Unhonay and Kushi was like Kinonay. So looks like we have found Arnav's new name, since his wife and bodyguards coincidently call him that: Unhonay Singh Raizada. Naming ceremony completed!
- The kitchen scene at the Guptas reminded me of the Shart scene. Same place, same people. And same heat of a challenge. Challenge zone was once again situated at the Gupta kitchen where like before Kushi was preparing tea but now as per her husband's demands. And what a waste of that tea and milk: he had asked her to make it just for a ticket entry into the kitchen. To get her alone. But to leave the tea alone. Poor tea!
- The water contrast was obvious. The first day of Kushi's appointment at AR she had set off the fire alarm and out emerged a drenched and angry ASR. First day of Kushi's entry at AR as his wife, she had set of the temper alarm, and out emerged a drenched and challenged ASR.
- Kushi punishes with small reminders: water from a tiny mug splashed on his hot face. Arnav keeps her in his control with huge backfires: water from a huge red bucket splashed over her entire wild cat figure.
- Red, red, red...red mug and red bucket. Symbol of love? Kushi's love for Arnav is timid and young. She is still not sure whether she should love him because of the mixed vibes he is sending her way. Does he hate me? Did he ever love me? So a small mug of water is thrown at him, telling him she does love him but can't show him how big it is until he gives her a green signal. And what does Arnav do? He gets angry that she loves him so little. Show me more, he wants to tell her. Tell me actually how much you love me! Tell me you don't love that Shyam and that you are mad in love with me! You won't tell me? Okay, then I'll tell you how much I love you! And whoosh! He empties an entire bucket over her, his love cascading down her length, dripping down her hair, into her eyes, lips and drenching her heart. Now that's passion, babe! He's so much in love with you, Kushi! Waiting for Kushi to catch the cue he gave and dump an entire water tank on him!
- Yesterday Arnav was overconfident that Kushi wouldn't leave the house. She left. Today Kushi was over-confident Arnav would come and give the withheld answers. He didn't. Overconfidence can be misleading, just like what my Dad tells me before going to write an exam I'm overconfident about.
We were starved. They gave us a Promo today. So how dare we still beg for a Precap? Silly us! *grunt* *growl*
No Promos means no seeds for my dreams tonight. *sigh*
