~⭐️EPISODE 47⭐️~

Scene 1:

Morning, Haveli

Maan and all of the Handa family are gathered at the dining table for breakfast. Geet is not present there, nor BSK. Maan's eyes yearningly looks around to find a glimpse of his baby and his baby's mother.

"Yeh, Geet kahan rah gayi? Geet bahar aao," he mutters to himself, taking a spoonful of halwa into his mouth.

Rajji notices him and gestures to Nandini and their cousins to pull his leg...

"Jijaji, mujhe dhoondh rahe ho?" asks Rajji.

"Eh, tumhe nahi toh?" he replies annoyingly trying not to make an eye contact with anyone at the table.The girls burst out laughing, and Geet enters with baby, wondering why her cousins are laughing and why Maan is putting on his grumpy face as in the old office days.

"Rajji, yeh kya mazzak hai? Apne jijaji ko aise pareshaan nahi karte?" scolds Rano.😡

"Hum pareshaan thodi na kar rahe the Chachi ji, woh toh aivain hi pooch rahe the...hum toh unki maddath kar rahe the...Geet didi" she turns to her and says, "Mujhe laga jijaji mujhe dhoodh rahe hai, par lagta hai unko aapke sivay aur koi dikhta hi nahi."

"Rajji maar khayegi."

"Bas kar, chup chap nashta kar aur school ja. Band kar apna khi khi..."

...

Maan looks up at Geet...

He smiles and asks her through his eyes to come to him. He taps the chair next to him asking her to come and sit next to him. Geet shyly refuses by shaking her head. Maan frowns and insists again.

"Maan, puttar kya hua? Kuch chahiye?" asks Rano after seeing him stirring in his chair uncomfortably.

Maan chokes on his coffee and looks away from Geet. Geet instantly moves towards him, but then stops halfway when she realises everyone's there.

"Geet puttar pani dena?"

Maan holds the glass and her hand, which she manages to pull away from his grip.

After the commotion is over...

"Maan puttar, aapko kuch aur chahiye?" asks Rano again.

"Nahi Ma..." he looks at Geet, winks at her and changes his mind, "actually mujhe halwa chahiye, bahut tasty hai...mmm."

"Geet ne banaya hai...Main abhi lekar aati hoon."

"Ma, please aap taqleef mat kariye, he turns to Geetwith a naughty twinkle in his eyes, "Geet, please tum le aao na."

Geet knew there was somthing wrong in his request...kyun ki Maan was upto something, and she knew him through and through.

"Maan, aapko toh halwa zyaada pasnad nahi hai, phir?" she was not going to give up that easily.

"Haan, pasand nahi tha. Toh kya? Ab pasand hai...tumne jo banaya hai...aur mujhe..."

"Maan!" she stops him from embarrassing her anymore in front of everyone and goes inside the kitchen. Baby is with Rano.

...

Maan gets up too.

"Ab kya hua damad ji? Aap kahan chal diye?" asks Papaji.

Everyone looks at him silently expecting an answer.

"Woh mujhe...em...Ehem! Ehem!" he coughs, "khasi ki dawayi lena bhool gaya that toh, main abhi lekar aata hoon."

He speeds away from there, and the entire family laughs in unison. Finally they were all so happy.

Scene 2:

Kitchen

Geet scoops some halwa into a katori/bowl talking to herself.

"Ab yeh kya naya tamasha hai Maan ka. Mujhe itni sharam aa rahi thi. Sabke saamne...Hey Babaji! Yeh Maan bhi na ek number ke nautanki hain. Shaadi se pehle toh ek dam dusht danav the, humesha mujhe kaccha chaba jaane ke liye tayyar rehte the. Aura ab...humesha shararatein soojhti rahti hai," she blushes, then slaps herself on her forehead, " Geet hosh main aa..." but again she dreamily says, "yeh sharatein hi toh humare pyaar ko aur pyaara banati hain."

"Bilkul theekh Mrs Khurana.'

"Maan aap!" she almost drops the katori.

He walks to her, takes the bowl from her hand and slides his arms around her.

"Maan, yeh aap kya kar rahein hai? Koi aa jayega?" she nervously looks at him, "Aap yahan aaye kyun?" Maan won't leave her. She looks over his shoulders to check if anyone was coming into the kitchen.

"Maan, aap please jayiye yahan se?"

"Ssshhh..." he shuts her mouth with his palm, "Geet, kitna darti ho tum, aur kitna bolti ho Hoshiarpur Express. Accha ab bilkul chup meri Mishty ki tarah mujhe mera gift de do."

"Kya? Gift abhi yahan? Bilkul nahi. Jayiye yahan se nahi toh main sabko bulaoongi," she tries to get away from his arms, but he pulls her tight into his firm grip.

"Maan" she quivers looking into his intense eyes almost pleading to him.

"Geet, main tumhe yun hi dekhte rehna chahta hoon," he softly strokes the hair away from her face and she is speechless, her heart losing its calm pace.

"Accha," she taunts him naughtily, "aur koi kaam-vaam nahi hai kya? Avain hi mujhe pareshaan karte rehna hai?"

"Geet?" this time he was serious, there was worry in his cracking voice, ad his eyes looked tense, "tum kabhi bhi mujhse door mat jaana. Main bardasht nahi kar paaoonga."

She has tears in her eyes. She cups his chin in her palm.

"Maan," she softly replies, "Geet apne Maan se door kabhi nahi jayegi, aap main toh meri jaan basti hai. Mujhe aap se koi juda nahi kar sakta, koi bhi nahi."

...Scene shifts to Sam brooding over her times spent with Maan, in some distant hotel room in Hoshiarpur... She definitely had something going inside her mind...

Back to Haveli, Kitchen...

Geet lifs herself on her toes and kisses him on his forehead, lowers herself and hugs him.

A few seconds later...

"Geet, ab mujhe kya mera gift milega?"

She hits him on his chest, and says, "Maan yeh lijiye apna gift" and thrusts the katori into his hand.

He pulls her close and is about to kiss her...

Rajji enters and her eyes pop out in shock and embarrassment.

"Babaji...I am sorry. Galti ho gayi, main jaati hoon."

They both are startled, and move away from each other.

~Episode 48~

...Flashback...

She could have gone to Havard or some other management school she wanted to, cuz her father had all the money and connections. But, she chose Edinburgh Business School (fictitious place), a comparatively new school in the beautiful highlands of Scotland.

She was popular in school, in both academics and otherwise. She was beautiful, young and full of life. She never bowed down to competition, or any challenge that came her way.

The spring term was going to begin, freshers began to pour in from different parts of the world. She was not a type of girl who would fall in love, atleast till then. But, things change, and love works in mysterious ways.

She saw him first on a bench, glued to his book. He definitely didn't seem like a geek. He was tall, handsome and immaculate in his jeans and blazer with his school's crest proudly displayed on it.

"Who's that? Haven't seen him before," she asked casually, not wanting to sound desperate, to one of her friends.

None of them answered cuz they all were drooling over him, like some charmed commoners ogling at some prince.

"Priya!" she shook one of them...

"He's hot...Oh Dear...we should totally go and introduce ourselves to him."

"What? Are you out of your mind...We have a status here. I don't go around introducing myself to people I dunno...they come to me...puh-leez."

"Alright, you don't come, we are going...WOW...I am so in love with him."

"What? You don't even know him."

But the girls were already speeding towards him.

She watched from a distance...and felt jealous of her friends. Finally they came to her after meeting him.

"Oh Sam, you should have come. He's a fresher, and he's from India."

"So?"

"So...my parents won't get a heart attack if I tell them I want to marry him. You should have met him," said Priya dreamily😳.

Sam shook her head in disbelief.😕

"I have no interest in meeting juniors..."🤢

...

They both met that very day...

In the college auditorium...Sam banged into someone. She removed the hair from her face, and looked up. She was in his arms. She was completely lost and was brought back to her senses only by his deep voice.

"Excuse me Miss, are you alright?"

"Yeah, thanks."

...

...Back to present...

Scene 1:

Sam got up from her rocking chair. Someone rapped at the door. She opened the door, it was a woman. Sam instantly hugged her.

"Ma, I missed you," she hugged her and began crying.

"Oh Sweetie I missed you too."

...

Scene 2:

Haveli, Maaneet alone in their room.

Geet was getting ready to go to the site. And Maan looked on...

"Maan, you've embarrassed me enough. Rajji kya soch rahi hogi?

He gets up and holds her gently...

"Kya sochegi? Yahi ki uske jijaji uski didi se bahut pyaar karte hain."

"Maan" she groans😡.

"Geet, waise bhi galti tumhari thi. Agar tum chup chap mujhe gift de deti toh, aisa kuch nahi hota."

"Koi gift nahi milega. I'm going."

She leaves and Maan tries to hold her hand, but she slips away.

"Geet, sham ko dekh loonga," he shouts at her with a smile😳.
