nice part..time is progressing n MS are getting closer...at least shabd is anyway..both AK are successful in their professions..n now its time to move their personal story a little further...i mean kripa senses them being more than friends..n angad knows that he is attracted towards her...bt they continue to remain friends...though they have become more comfortable with each other..now the question is, when will they take another step towards their relationship..will it be in future..meaning time will pass till angad becomes 20% partner with Mr. Bhatia n others/ reaches his dreams..or will there be some twist..that will force them to come closer?...plz update soon! :)

Sorry dear...I just had changed names through the word and guess, it got missed...! But i did notchange it as it's too messy, to copy word document files in here...! Most of the times it gets tangled and I have to edit and edit, until I get it right...! So,imagine thatit is his pet name here...!😆I had added few details later, before I loaded it and I was reading other ff's and it just went out of my head and I did not notice until I posted it, but had no wish to correct it, as it took around 15 minutes to just post it...!

Angad and Kripa are getting closer and also understanding and helping each other...
in this Kripa is so self binded with the family unlike the previous FF where she was so independent...

Chapter -15

A year more passed by in haze………..It's two years since Mahi and Shabd joined college……Sneha is 1 year old now……Angad Kripa's little interaction continued, a couple of times, when Angad had come to visit his family….but both were reluctant to take any thing further….Both fought their attractions…..Kripa due to fear and Angad due to career……But they would look at eachother or just stay there with eachother on some or other pretext, not wanting to leave…… or just chuckle at eachother for this childishness……They continued their garden sessions, whenever they would be in town at the same time……Go for walks…….But nothing more than that……..

Angad was successful in acquiring the targets and got partnership……..And he became more and more busy and did not even come home from last 6 months……..Kripa was also not in contact with him, as she felt reluctant to call him……..He did not even talk to his family much, and she was an outsider in that, so she couldn't call him …..….Mahi Shabd passed from college with flying colors……Mahi got a job in a Big Resort near Virginia and she was excited about it……Though it was around 45 minutes commute, she had been given a car from the resort for the communication…….Shabd started with his Phd program….….Kripa and Prithvi were well known singers as well and their shows were very much in demands…….Their group practiced and did the shows in the weekends in different states...Josh was as usual same, never tried to hide his attraction…..Overall, it was all their hard work, which was paying off…….Everyone was satisfied, but Angad……He still had very high dreams……The 5 partners together renamed their company as SAB Worldwide…..There were around 6000 people working today in the company……

Surya and Gayatri were happy with their kids success…..

S: Gayatri, aab Mahi aur Kripa ki shadi ki baat sochni chahiye…..One day, Surya bought the subject when they were alone in their room…..

Gayatri nodded and sat down…..They were around 23 and well settled…..

G: Pata hi nahi chala ki bache itne bade kaab ho gaye……Surya chuckled…..

S: Tumhare baas mein hota na to aaj bhi unhe apne hathon se hi khilati…..

Gayatri smiled……Sneha was snuggled in her lap……she was the apple of everyone's eye…..Especially her Kripa bua……

Mahi was with Shabd in his home cooking some meals for him…..

S: Mahi….chodo usse aur thodi der yahan aakar baitho…..Itna sara khana kyun banakar rakhti ho humesha…..he said frowning…..

M: Agar mein nahi banati na to tum bhuke hi reh jate…….Bolo, college se mere jane ke baad kitne din ghar aye……Ek bhi nahi….abhi ek mahina ho gaya hai…..ghar ka khana kab khaya…..ek mahine pehle…..she said rolling her eyes…..Shabd chuckled……

S: Yeh nayi baat thodi na hai…….Pehle bhi to aise hi chalta tha….he said sighing...

M: Chalta hoga…..but not when you have a friend like Mahi……Shabd smiled at her……She had cared for him so much during this 2 years…….Aab to tumhe apna dhyan khud dena hoga shabd…..mujhe ate ate raat ke 9 bajte hain, aur sirf Sunday chuti hoti hai……aab aise kaise chalega……mein nahi hun to kya hua, tum baki saab ko to jante ho na ghar par……phir jate kyun nahi…..she asked frowning…..ya khud bhi ghar mein bana sakte ho……She said keeping everything in the freeze…..Shabd sighed…..

S: Not again Mahi….You know my answer……Aab cleaning chodo…..he said pulling her hand and taking her to the living room….Aur yahan aram se baitho aur thodi baatein karo…..Pure ek mahine ke baad dikhi ho…….Nahi to roj subah sham mera sar khati thi…….he said chuckling…..I miss you…..he said smiling….

M: I miss you too…..par kaam itna hota hai ki…..she shrugged…..Shabd looked down sadly……Last two years were the best years of his life……But again, since Mahi joined the job, he felt all alone once again…..Everyone were busy in their own life…….He was too….but was doing just plain time pass…He felt his life lonely without Mahi's constant banter…….Kya soch rahe ho Shabd……she said frowning……Shabd did not listen to her……he was in his own thoughts……He remembered the time when he received the news of the crash……his dead parents bought home…….His eyes were filled with tears……Though they were not with him and left him with nannies, he still missed them…..at least there was not this feeling that he was all alone in this world…..But Mahi had changed that , but now again…….Mahi frowned and slowly walked to him……She knew all about his feelings, and how lonely he felt at times…..She had tried to cheer him up as a friend, made him join his family…...But still she could see the sadness sometimes…..She understood how he felt all alone, without a person to care about him…….She did not know how she would be, if her family would not be with her for support……She sat next to him and touched his cheeks and made him look at her and was taken aback looking at the tears…..Shabd was a little embarrassed him self for his weakness…….He tried to look away blinking his tears…….Shabd, kya baat hai…..mujhse chupaoge, apne dost se……she said slowly looking at him……

S: Kuch nahi Mahi….bas aise hi……tum apna batao na…..apne kaam ke bare mein……

M: Nahi…..humesha aise hi talte rehte ho…..humesha mere bare mein puchte rehte ho…..apna gum kyun nahi baat sakte……do saal ho gaye hum sath padhte hain, khate hain…..par aaj tak apne andar jhankne nahi diya tumne……she said looking at him……Shabd looked at her a little stunned at her declaration……He never thought she noticed his pain…..Tumhe kya lagta hai, ki agar tum nahi bataoge to mein samajh nahi paungi……?Shabd looking down swallowing hard…….He could feel Mahi's fingers caressing his cheeks and hairs…….He closed his eyes to feel those fingers……It had been for ever that any one had even touched him or caressed him this way…….It was ages since any one hugged him or cared for him……He suddenly bought Mahi close and hugged her tightly closing his eyes…Mahi was a little taken aback, but slowly relaxed and kept her hands on his back and caressed him…….She could feel his tears on her back and her eyes filled with tears……She let him take solace in her arms, while she silently gave him support he wanted…….After a long time Shabd sat straight…..a little ashamed as well as embarrassed……

Mahi looked up at him, but he would not look at her…….She slowly made him look at her and their eyes met…….for the first time Mahi noticed his desire for her, his love for her and she was a little confused…….She looked at him confused and Shabd knew, this was the time to tell her about his feelings……Or else he never would……He slowly closed the distance between them and kissed her lightly on her lips……Mahi closed her eyes and felt his touch……

S: I Love You Mahi……I have loved you since the day I saw you in Prithvi's house……Since the time you left me wondering, at your anger, when you lost that game…….he said smiling a little near her lips……I have loved you for everything you did for me……I have loved you for caring for me…..For being my friend…..For taking me with you and making me part of your family……I have always loved you…….He said sighing looking at her……..Mahi's eyes were still closed…..She was stunned to hear this……Never had she thought about it till now……Ankhen kholo Mahi…..tell me what you feel…..he said caressing her cheeks……looking at her eyes and lips…….Mahi slowly opened her eyes and looked at him……She could see the love which was only for her...Say some thing Mahi……Kya yeh pyar ek tarafa hai…….Do you love me……And if you don't, tell me now! Before I break completely…….I don't want to loose a friend, but I can't hide my feelings any more……He said looking in her eyes………Mahi's eyes filled with tears…..She remembered each and every moment they spent together and knew that she had feelings for him too……Though she was so immersed in her career, not a day went by, when she did not think about him…..She had cared for him, as he had……Even today, that was the only reason she had come…..she had been restless this past few days……..Because she could not meet him……This was not just caring but love as well……She loved him too……She looked up with a chuckle and kept a hand on his cheeks……..

M: I love you too Shabd…..Shayad tumhari tarah, ye ehsaas mujhe pehle nahi hua, but I love you too……I might have loved you before too, but never realized it till today……she said looking at him……..Shabd looked in her eyes and his eyes filled with tears……And this time he did not hide them from her…..He let them flow from his eyes…….Mahi smiled at him and slowly wiped his tears……..Aab ankhon se pani kyu? She asked looking at him…….

S: Tum ne aaj zindagi bhar ka akelapan jo dur kar diya hai……he said smiling and wiping his face……..Sach kehta hun Mahi, tumhare ane se pehle, mein sirf jee raha tha……Par tumne meri sari zindagi hi badal di…….He said smiling and hugging her tightly………..They slowly parted with a smile and Shabd got up and went to the near by drawers chest and took out a box……he slowly went near her and gave her the box…..Mahi looked at him with surprise and slowly opened the box………Will you marry me…..Shabd asked her sitting down on his knee………Mahi chuckled and shouted yes and hugged him tightly………Shabd chuckled and lifted her circling her round and round……..

Mahi forwarded her hand and asked him to put the ring, but he shook his head……..Mahi raised her eyebrows……

S: Aise nahi…..pehle tumhare mama papa se tumhara hath mangunga, phir ye unke ashirwad milne par pehnaunga……..he said smiling at her…..Mahi shyly hugged him……….They stayed there for a long time……

Next week, Shabd went to Mahi's house to talk to Mahi's parents…….

Gayatri and Surya were surprised to see Shabd…..

Mahi smiled at him shyly as she saw him….She knew why he was here……..

G: Kaise ho bte…..Itne din ke baad…….? Kahan the….Mahi college se jo gayi, tum ne to hume paraya kar diya…..? Gayatri complained frowning at him.…….

S: Sorry Aunty…….Bas university mein busy ho gaya…..Mahi ki padhai to ho gayi, par meri to badh gayi hai……he said chuckling…..Surya smiled at him and patted…..

Su: Bhagwan tumhe khub kamyabi de…..aao baitho……Surya said sitting on the table…..

S: Kripa dikhai nahi de rahi hai…..

G: Beta woh Gauri aur Pratham ke sath bahar gayi hai…..aa jayegi…..tum chai piyoge?

S: Jee aunty…..aapka hath ka bana chai to mein mana bhi nahi kar sakta…….he said chuckling……He then looked at Mahi who was looking at him…..He raised his eyebrows, questioning her, and she blushed and shook her head………He took a deep breathe and then looked at Surya…….Uncle mein aap se kuch baat karna chahta tha……he said hesitating a little……Gayatri looked at him and then at Mahi, whose cheeks were red…...

Su: Haan beta, batao, kya kehna chahte ho….? He asked with a smile…..Mahi turned around and ran up shyly…….afraid as well as a little excited…….Gayatri kept looking at her and was sure about what Shabd wanted to talk about……She kept a hand on Shabd and he looked up at Gayatri with surprise…..

G: Mein janti hun……she said smiling at him……Shabd got up astonished…..

S: Ji aunty woh…..he said looking down…..Woh mama papa rehte to unse kehta…..par…..he said looking down…..

Su: Kya baat hai beta……kuch problem hain? He asked a little concerned…..

Gayatri then looked at Surya and he raised his eyebrows…..

G: Shabd Mahi ko pasand karta hai……Ussase shadi karna chahta hai……she said slowly…….Surya got up from the chair at once…….Shocked at the news……..

Su: Ye saab…..

G: Pata tha mujhe……she looked at Shabd who looked at her in surprise…….Dekh sakti thi tumhari ankhon mein…….She said patting his arm…….

Shabd looked at Surya a little anxiously……Suryabhan did not say anything for a while……….And then sighed a little and slowly kept a hand on his shoulder……..

Su: Shabd, yeh achi baat hai, ki tum ussase pyar karte ho aur shadi karna chahte ho…..par mujhe thoda sochne ka samay do……Pratham se bhi baat kar lun aur shadi bhyah ke mamle mein jald baji waise bhi nahi karni chahiye……..Shabd smiled a little sadly and nodded…..

S: Ji uncle mein samajh sakta hun…..Mein apke faisle ka intajar karunga…..he said smiling at them…..Mein chalta hun…..

G: Beta, chai to piker jao….

S: Nahi aunty phir aunga……he said smiling…….Slowly he walked out of the house…..Suryabhan sat there stunned and Gayatri was in deep thoughts…..She knew some day, this would come and she had prepared for this……

Shabd went home with heavy heart…..He was not sure, if this was going to be good or not……He called Mahi's cell and told her about it…..Mahi got up with a frown……

M: Mein abhi baat karti hun papa se Shabd….

S: Nahi Mahi…..let them take their time……Tum abhi kuch mat kaho……he said sighing…….

For next couple of weeks no one spoke any thing about it……Mahi and Shabd met inbetween in the restaurants or parks for some time…….Kripa came to know about Mahi and Shabd too……

Mahi was irritated a little due to her dad……..

M: I don't know….Akhir papa ki problem kya hai…..Shabd itna acha ladka hai….itna pada likha hai…..do saal se jante hain papa usse…..I just can't believe that he is taking so much time to decide……she said frustratingly…..

K: Mahi…..tum shant ho jao……Papa bade hain…..aur waise bhi unhone na to nahi kaha na……Unhone to waqt manga hai……isme itna ghussa hone ki kya baat hai……Aur abhi to tum donon ne confess kiya hai…..to thode din aur sahi……I am sure, papa jo bhi sochenge, tumhare bhalai ke liye hi sochenge…..

M: Par Kripa…..issme sochne ki kya baat hai…..mein aur woh taiyar hai…..unhe to sirf ashirwad hi dena hai……And I want to marry him……That's it….I love me….and it is that simple…Do you think that if he tells no, I am going to listen…..Yeh mere zindagi ka sawal hai…..And it should be my decision which I already have decided…..she said closing her eyes……Kripa sighed…..She did not know what to tell Mahi…..and she did not want to speak in between the elders…….

Surya on the other side was considering it seriously, but was not sure about it…..He told Pratham about it the following week and he too was surprised……..

G: Waise dekha jaye to Shabd mein kya kami hai ji……Acha padha likha hai, mehnati hai…..Aur Naina keh rahi thi ki kaffi dault bhi chod gaye uske ma-baap…..Aur saab se badi baat to woh Mahi se pyar karta hai…….Aap itna kyun soch rahe hain……Do saal se aap jante hai usse…….

S: Woh saab to thik hai Gayatri, par uske khandan ka na hume kuch pata hai, na age piche koi hai uske…….He said sighing……..

G: Meine Naina se baat kit hi……Keh rahi thi ki uske ma baap donon bahot ache the, bahot hoshiyar bhi the……Aab uske ma baap nahi hai to usme bechare ka kya dosh……Aur hum hai na…...Woh humare parivar ka bhi to hissa hoga…….Pratham nodded after a lot of thought…..

Gauri: Papa, Shabd ko mein bhi kareeb aab 6 saal se janti hun…..Uske mata pita ko dekha to nahi, par Shabd ko dekha hai…..Woh bahot acha hai…..Agar Mahi bhi ussase pyar karti hain, to mujhe bhi lagta hai ki ma thik keh rahi hai……Mera bhi to koi nahi tha, par apne bhi to mujhe apna liya tha……She said smiling sadly at them……

Su: Beta tumhari baat alag thi…..Tumhare mata pita ko hum bachpan se jante the, aur tum humare parivar mein aa rahi thi…..hum saab tumhare sath to hain……Par Mahi dusare parivar mein jayegi…..wahan he sighed, stopping himself……

G: To kya hua papa, aap Shabd ko apna beta bana lijiye, usse iss ghar ka hissa bana lijiye…..phir uska bhi apna parivar hoga…..hum saab honge…….

Surya slowly looked at Pratham……Tum kya chahte ho Pratham…..Tumhe ye rishta thik lagta hai?

P: Papa, Gauri aur Ma ki baat bilkul thik hai……Shabd to acha ladka hai…..hum usse itne dinon se jante hain, Mahi ka itna khayal rakhta hai…..aur rahi baat parivar ki, to usska parivar na sahi, hum saab to hain na unke liye……..Aur ussase achi baat ye hai ki aab hum saab yahin rehne wale hain………Yahan settle hone ka soch rahe hain, aur agar yahin ka ladka ho, aur paas hi rehta ho to aur bhi acha hai…….he said smiling……Gauri smiled at him…..And he nodded…..

S: Thik hai Gayatri……Mujhe ye rishta manjur hai……Shabd ko kehna sham ko ghar aye…….he said smiling at her…..Everyone looked at him happily……

G: Jara apne beti ko bhi aap khud bata dijiye……Muh fulake baithi hai…..she said chuckling…..Surya smiled and nodded…….He went up and opened Mahi's door……She was busy looking in the computer…..She turned around and saw her dad coming in……

S: Mahi chalo saman bandho apna……he said angrily……Mahi got up immediately shocked…..

M: Papa……

S: Mein jo keh raha hun, woh suno…..bich mein toko mat……Apna saman bandho aur bidai ki tayari karo…..Shabd jaldi hi ghodi leke ane wala hai…….he said grinning suddenly…….Mahi looked at him with disbelief and then jumped and went to him and hugged him tightly…..

M: Really papa?

S: Are badi besharam ho gayi ho tum……bidai ki baat sunte hi itni khush ho gayi…..papa se dur jane ka koi dukh hi nahi……

M: Papa…..she said whinning…..

S: Kya papa…..he said chuckling….

M: I love you papa…..Thank you so much…..

S: Chalo, usse phone karo, aur kaho, humne sham ko khane pe bulaya hai…..he said smiling and patting her back…..Mahi grinned shyly as Surya walked away……She ran to Kripa's room…..

M: I am so happy…..so happy……..She said holding Kripa's arms and circling her round and round…..Kripa laughed at her……

K: Papa maan gaye na……she said chuckling and putting her towel away…..

M: Yes yes yes…..she said hugging her…..You were right Kripa…..I am so happy…..

K: and I am happy for you…..she said chuckling…..

Mahi took Kripa's phone and dialed his number……

S: Hi Kripa…..aaj humari yaad kaise aa gayi…..He asked grinning……..

M: Kyun Shabd, yaad kyun nahi ayegi…..?

Shabd grinned and chuckled….He could make out Kripa and Mahi very easily now a days…...

S: Woh issliye, kyun ki shayad, Mahi ne galti se Kripa ka phone le liya……

Mahi chuckled…….Kripa took the phone from her…….

K: Hi Shabd Jiju..…..Kaise ho?

Shabd chuckled……Abhi to uncle ki permission baki hai…..

K: Milgayi……issiliye to officially jiju keh rahi hun……she said chuckling…..

Shabd was quite for a long time…….

K: Kya hua? She said grinning….

S: Majak nahi kar rahi ho na…..? He asked seriously….

M: Majak nahi sach…..issiliye mummy ne tumhe, khane pe bulaya hai…..she said taking the phone and running out…..

Kripa chuckled….Mahi mera phone dena mat bhulna……she called out shaking her head and grinning…..She ran down after she brushed her hair……And went and hugged her mom laughing…..

Gauri chuckled at her…..

G: Aab to tumhari bari hai Kripa…..

K: Bhabhi…..Mahi mujh se 6 minute badi hai, aur iska ehsaas humesha karati rahi……So, pehle badi beti ko to vidda kijiye……Badmein choti ka dekhna……Aur waise bhi mujhe koi jaldi nahi hai……She said chuckling…….Jinko jaldi hai, unhe pehle bhej do bhabhi………! She said grinning………

Shabd was home for dinner in the evening..…..He felt a little akward…..but soon Surya and Gayatri hugged him and welcomed in the family…..Even Pratham laughed and hugged him and welcomed warmly……. Gayatri promised to talk to the Hindu priest and they would take out the date for the marriage…….

K: Mama…..Shadi badmein muhurat dekh kar kar dena…..engagement to kar sakte hain na…..she said grinning and keeping a hand on Mahi's shoulder……Mahi blushed, when Shabd looked at her slowly…….

G: Haan ma…..How about next Saturday………?

Su: Thik hai….kyun Shabd, tumko koi problem to nahi na…..Surya asked smiling……

S: Ji uncle, aap saab ko jaisa convenient ho…..He said smiling……..

G: Beta, aab ye parivar tumhara hai….. tum bhi humare bte se kum nahi ho……Agar tumhe thik lagta ho, to hum ko apna samajh kar Mahi ki tarah mama papa bulana…...She said patting his shoulders with a smile…..

Shabd smiled at her and nodded……he was too choked up to say a word…..It was overwhelming, that they all welcomed him in their family as their own……He had never thought he would have it all……but here he was……He got what he wanted most in life, a family to call his own…….

K: Gauri bhabhi Jiju ka muh to mitha kijiye……She said grinning at Shabd and then looking at Mahi.…...Everyone chuckled……..

G: Chal Kripa, tu hi muh mitha kar de apne jiju ka…..she said giving some desert in a bowl……Kripa grinned and went to Shabd and fed him a spoon smiling and then grinned at Mahi and fed her too……

They had a nice family dinner…….Shabd soon was off to his home, as he had early morning classes……

Kripa was too excited…….She looked at the watch and smiled…….She got some reason to call Angad at last, she thought with a smile..……She dialed Angad's number…..

A: Kripa…..Angad asked surprised…..He was getting ready for a meeting in the office…..

K: hi….Meine disturb to nahi kiya? She asked chuckling…..

A: agar kahun ki haan kiya to? He asked grinning…..

K: Mein rakhhti hun phir…..badmein baat karti hun…..she said a little disappointedly.…..

A: Nahi….uski jaroorat nahi…….he said chuckling..…Kaho kaise phone kiya…..? Kaisi ho? Aur gardening kahan tak aya……Kripa frowned, thinking he did not find any other topic to talk and always kept the conversation on safe topics like Gardening and family and friends…..! But she sighed……..

K: Thik hun…….Gardening to chalta rehta hai………Bas, tumhe ek good news dena tha……Angad stopped what he was doing……Frowning at the phone, his heart immediately beating hard……..

A: Kaisa good news…..? He asked slowly…….

K: Mahi aur Shabd ki shaddi tair ho gayi hai……she said smiling after couple of seconds.……

A: Really…..? He asked surprised……but they are what…..22….23….itni jaldi? He asked almost relieved……Still somewhere, his heart was still hammering and he tried to take long breathe……..His fingers relaxed a little, which he did not realize were tightly holding the phone…….

K: Woh to mujhe pata nahi…..par mein tumhe invite karne phone kar rahi hun…..Unka engagement next Saturday tair hua hai…..

A: Vow….can't believe it…..but sorry Kripa…..I hope you understand……US mein hota to weekend par aa bhi jata….par you know, it's difficult to come from here…….Aur kaam bhi itna hai ki bas…...….kripa smiled sadly, she knew he wouldn't come, but she wished he would, like last time…….She knew she was being childish and knew all about his dreams, but she had missed him….he was in Australia since last 6 months…….. Kripa had always looked forward to his visits, but last 6 months, they did not even talk properly.……

K: I understand Angad……Mein to bas formality puri kar rahi thi………She said chuckling, making light of the situation………

A: Really……He asked chuckling and Kripa shyly kept her head on the pillow……..So, atlast you started adopting our American culture……..Of fulfilling all the formalities, even if you know the end results…….! He said chuckling and Kripa chuckled……

K: Nahi, majak kar rahi thi…….But I know, it's difficult for you to come…….Mein bas tumhe batana chahti thi, so call kar diya……..Khair…..tum batao……tumhara kaam kaise chalu hai…..

A: Fantastic…..Trying to expand in Europe next year, as you must be knowing……he said grinning……

K: Hmmm……bhaiya ne bataya……..Wonderful……..Hope you achieve your dreams soon……

A: Thanks Kripa…….That means a lot to me……….But dreams are still far far away to reach…….

K: But you will no doubt reach their some day………

A: I hope so……! Kripa smiled…….

K: Thik hai Angad mein rakhti hun…..bas yahi news dene ke liye phone kiya tha…..she said slowly after they both became silent for couple of seconds.……

A: Kyun? Aur kuch baat nahi karni…..? He asked sighing sadly and missing her…..

K: Tum busy ho na…….!

A: Bahana banana koi tumse sikhe…….! He said chuckling…….

K: Angad, Woh……

A: Relax Kripa, I was joking…..He said chuckling…….Tumne thik kaha, mein jara busy hun……..any way, mujhe aab jana hoga, Board room mein saab mera intajar kar rahe honge..…..Convey my best wishes to Mahi and Shabd will you…..He said as he got up with his files….

K: Haan keh dungi….bye..

A: Bye….he said and kept the phone with a grin…..

Kripa sighed……She loved him……She knew that for sure by now…….but she did not know what he felt…..They never talked about it……He had held her hands couple of times and pecked her cheeks 2-3 times, but other than that Angad had kept his distance and been there as a friend……She was not sure if he loved her or if it was just friendship……But she knew about Josh…..She knew he liked her a lot and even loved her…..Though he never said it aloud…..He kept his friendship and jokes and flirting same……but never had crossed his line…She sighed, thinking why life was playing games with their hearts……

The week passed by, preparing for the engagement party……They were having the party at home itself and calling only close family and friends…….Gayatri and Surya sat on the chair tired a little after full days work…… while Pratham and Gauri cleaned the room…….

Pr: Mom…..aab humme bada ghar le lena chahiye……kyun papa……aab to company itna profit kar raha hai……

G: Beta itna bada to ghar hai ye……Dekh pura din nikal gaya cleaning mein..…..6 bedrooms hai, do do hall hai……do do dinning…..karenge kya……Aab Mahi ki shadi ho jayegi aur phir Kripa ki……Hum char aur Sneha hi rehenge itne bade ghar mein…….Aur itna saab maintainance aur mehnat……

Su: Ma bilkul thik keh rahi hai Pratham….India mein to hum che log 2 bedroom ke chote se makan mein rehte the…..aur yahan itna bada ghar hai, phir bhi tumhe chota lagta hai ye…….he asked frowning…..Pratham sighed…..

Gauri: Pratham…..ye ghar kafi hai…..aur aab itni achi tarah saab set ho gaya hai……Aju baju ke saab pehchanane lage hain…..Sneha ke liye bhi school najdeek hai…..aur kya chahiye……Please shifting ki baat mat karo….filhal ye room clean karo……Kal Mahi ki engagement hai…..she said grinning…..

G: Aur ye ladki abhi ayi bhi nahi…..shopping bhi sara humne hi kiya hai…..Abhi Shabd ka bhi ane ka waqt ho gaya hai……Gauri ja beta, tu bhi taiyar ho ja……Kripa ke to classes hai…..Mahi aur Shabd ke donon ke anguthiyan le ane hai…..Tum dono jao aab…..pata nahi ye ladki time se ayegi ki nahi…..Khud ki shadi ki shopping karne ke liye bhi time nahi hai……She sighed……

Ga: Aajayegi Mama……aap tension mat lijiye……Ye room clean kar le, phir taiyar ho jati hun……Gauri said as she dusted the tables…….Pratham was busy steam cleaning the wodden floors…….Sneha was snuggled up in Gayatri's arms and was asleep……..

Soon Mahi was home and Gayatri sighed with relief…….She quickly got ready and went with Shabd, Pratham and Gauri to choose the rings…..Kripa was back by 7 and saw her mom busy with kitchen and Sneha crying to pick her up…..She chuckled and went to Sneha and picked her up and started playing with her…..when she was quite, she went to help her mom……She knew her mom's leg and back were paining again…..She pulled her back and asked her to sit back with a frown….

K:Ma, itna pair dard hot a hai to aaram kyun nahi karti……She said angrily…..Gayatri sighed…..

G: Tu nahi samjhegi…..Kal teri behen ki sagai hai….itna kaam pada hai aur tu hai ki…..

K: Mein kuch nahi sunana chahti hun….aap baithiye aur ye dudh pi lijiye…..Mein khana bana lungi….she said authoritatively……Gayatri smiled at Kripa…..She was so sensitive…...And always her little helper……When it came to Mahi, she would get angry and ask her to keep a servant to do all the stuff instead…..but very rarely did she say, she would help like Kripa…..But Kripa, never had a problem with doing the chores…..Yeah Mahi was a great cook and if she did invite some one, then she would do it with very much interest…..but she was not interested in day to day chores, she was more into career…..Earning money, etc……They were so alike put poles different from eachother……But her love for them was same…..never had she compared them or loved one more over the other……They were her kids and had their own personalities…..And now one of them would be gone…..The thought made her eyes blur…..and some day even Kripa would be gone……She looked away as her eyes filled with tears…..

Kripa looked at her mom while cutting vegetables and saw tears in her eyes……….She sighed…….Even she felt the pain…….Her sister who grew up with her, who was her mirror image, with whom she had shared everything all her life, would be gone in few days and would live with her husband, make her own family….It would not be the same like before…..The bond would be there, but still not the same……She kept the knife down and went to her mom and kept a hand on her shoulder……..Her mom looked up and saw tears in her eyes too…..She got up and hugged her and they consoled eachother…….After a long time, they parted and Gayatri went up to freshen……Kripa washed her face and continued her cooking……..

Soon everyone was back and had dinner together…..Shabd said bye and left soon……..

Next day Sharma house was full of chaos….Josh and Aliyah came in the afternoon to help arrange everything for the party……Harshini too came soon……..Dilip had asked Shabd to come to their house and they would go together………So, Shabd would not feel alone…….

The engagement took place in the evening and Shabd and Mahi exchanged rings…..Around 8-10 close families as well as Mahi and Shabd's college friends were invited……Mahi looked beautiful in her ghaghra…….She wore very light jwellery as she did not like them much……..Kripa wore mirror work chudidar and looked wonderful too…….She hugged Mahi and Shabd and congradulated them both……Gayatri asked her and Gauri to feed them both some sweet……Later, Pratham swithched on the music system…..while people started having there dinner…….On everyone's request Kripa sang a beautiful song for them both…….

Surya confirmed the marriage date to everyone, which was fixed after a month…….Everyone cheered for Mahi Shabd and congradulated them…..

A month went by in a blur………And soon after a month Mahi and Shabd were grandly married in Temple as per Surya's wish…….Unfortunately, Angad could not join them as he had very important issues to look in……He apologized to Kripa and called Shabd and Mahi and congradulated them……..Gayatri and Kripa tearfully bid Mahi bye……Naina and Dilip along with Prithvi, Josh and his mom and Aliyah, went to Shabd's house to welcome them and complete the formalities and Shabd thanked them all for their wonderful gesture………Even Pratham and Gauri along with Kripa joined them for dinner at night at Shabd's house, which Naina and Dilip had ordered……..Gayatri and Suryabhan were very much tired and decided to stay back with Sneha...

Pratham gifted a honeymoon package for Shabd and Mahi for Hawai for a week……Mahi had got 2 weeks off…So, they went and enjoyed their new life together……..

S: I don't want to go back from this bliss wife dear……Shabd said sighing a day before they were scheduled to leave from Hawai and pulled her by waist and bought her close…….Mahi chuckled looking at him…….

M: Kyun? She asked playing with his buttons……..

S: Kyun ki Monday se tumhara job shuru hoga aur humara honeymoon khatma……He said making faces and biting her nose……..Mahi chuckled again…….

M: Tumhara bhi to college hain…..!

S: I know………That is what is so boring………

M: Din apne nahi na sahi, pati dev ji, honeymoon ke liye raat hi kaffi hai……..Shabd grinned………

S: I know…….But this is bliss……..He said making her sit……….He kept his head on her lap and hugged her by waist and sighed……….But I love it when you talk like this…….He said grinning at her…….Mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum itni besharam ho……..Mahi frowned……..

M: Kya Matlab……? She asked angrily…….

Shabd grinned…….Mujhe to laga tum adha samay tamatar ki tarah laal hi hoti rahogi……..Par tum to…..Mahi looked at him angrily and started hitting him and Shabd just kept chuckling pulling her down with him……..Mahi grinned and hugged him after a while, kissing his cheeks lovingly and Shabd just smiled and hugged her as well………

Kripa on the other hand felt her absence a lot, as they had been staying together for last 2 years again….Though they were busy on days…they spent many nights talking to eachother, dreaming about their life, played games sometimes, took care of Sneha together some times, to give time off to Gauri and Pratham……But now, she was all alone…..Though Gauri was home, it was still different…..Gauri was busy with house, her daughter, friends, everything……Yeah she had her classes….But they were in the evenings or mornings or in the weekends mostly…….She contined her garden sessions as usual, though winters were just plain crazy……She devoted most of her time with her pc and practicing her vocals…….

Mahi was back in a week and settled in her new house with Shabd……Pratham and Kripa helped her shift her things and Kripa helped her to arrange her things in her new closet……..She remembered the times when they would fight for the space in their little closet in Mathura…….Her eyes filled with tears as she hanged up her clothes…….Mahi was busy with her files and books……When she heard Kripa sniff, she looked up frowning…….She got up immediately when she saw Kripa's cheeks were wet with tears…….

M: Kripa, kya hua? Kripa looked up startled and wiped her face shaking her eyes….

K: Kuch nahi purani batein yaad agayi…..she said chuckling….Yaad hai, Mathura mein humara ek chota sa cupboard tha…..jo hum donon share karte the……Roj jhagadte, kabhi tum ulat pulat kar deti issiliye, ya kabhi jagah kum padti uski wajah se…….Aur aaj dekho na…...Ek hi sheher mein hokar bhi pehli baar tum dusare ghar mein rahogi aur mein dusare…..she said with tears in her eyes…..Even Mahi had tears in her eyes…..They hugged eachother remembering those childhood days…..The mischief, the love, the togetherness……After a long time they chuckled and wiped their tears, getting back to work……They knew that was life……But they needed time to adjust and get used to…..It was difficult, but it was bound to happen some day…….!! And that day was here……! So, only thing they could do was let time take its course……..

That night Kripa's thoughts went back to Angad……It was 2 months now……Angad was too busy to even talk…….They hardly spoke once for a minute or so…….She felt a little restless……..Her parents were talking about her marriage, since the day Mahi got married……Yesterday she had heard her mother telling her dad, that they should start looking for a boy for Kripa too…..!! What was she going to say to them? That she loved some one, who did not even know about her feelings……Or she wanted to wait for couple of more months…..She sighed…..She wasn't sure…….

Wow...the story took a leap of one more year..n its moving fast at present time too...but i like it...so Mahi n Shabd are settled now..n i guess now the story will go slower because the focus will be on Angad and Kripa...I am really curious to know how things will turn out for them. Angad is too busy in his career and reaching his dreams, and I am afraid that when he he will decide to take a step further in his personal life, it will be too late. I really hope that's not the case. Oh and Josh..well it has been like 2 years after Josh and Kripa's awkward incident, and Josh is still not over Kripa. I know he loves her, but still..please pair him up with someone else..so he is not heart broken later on. And it would be even worse, if his intentions are misunderstood by his family and they come to ask Kripa's hand...that would create hell lot of trouble in AK's life.
