It's like there has been an IPKKND drought and then today I got that first sip of water and it was enough to quench all thirst and all frustration. I just pray they remain consistent from this point. So much was right about this episode reminded me so much of why I fell in love with this show!😆

But the two most defining moments of the episode in my opinion we:
Epiphany number 1: Tears leave Arnav at a standstill...
So he defies and declares and picks her up in his arms to prove a point and marches out of the mandir. Iconic ArHi position but its interesting to see the contrast with the time he picks her up after GP - then he expressed his annoyance at having to do so because of a mere tradition yet today he took initiative and did it with out a second thought.
However the most beautiful moment was when he can't help but glance at face and he slowly comes to a halt. Freezes halfway down the stairs and examines her face completely left unnerved. Khushi's tears have always been a weak spot for Arnav but today's scene was something special. Barun portrayed Arnav's emotion perfectly, he slowly gulps and can't help but look puzzled because he couldn't deny that her tears were genuine. Sanaya's eyes are so expressive she completes this scene. The fact that Arnav stops, looking slightly taken aback shows how he's try to decode the situation, a moment ago the same girl was challenging him and refusing to listen to him and when he seized her in his arms, she silently weeps. Again he witnesses first hand the impact he has on her, the hurt he can cause her. He slowly avert his gaze from her face and just looks on reflecting.[last picture] He realises how behind every retort, every irritating act, Khushi is constantly hiding that side of her which Arnav breaks again and again. He is so intently focussed onn her tears he doesn't even register or care about the group of people surrounding them. He looks away, the ASR side of clouding his vision but one thing is for sure, he doesn't enjoy her pain.
Epiphany number 2: Khushi hears an ounce of the truth ...
Honestly, I think this scene sort of rolls off the moment above. It's again one of pain except this time Khushi verbalises what Arnav witnessed earlier at the mandir when he saw her teardrops. Her questioning words painting to him the misery he's causing her trigger him to grab hold of her once again and reveal a little of the pain he's constantly trying to push at the back of his mind ... "Aur jo chot, tumhari wajeh se mujhe ponchi hain. Uska kya?" - Sanaya conveys Khushi's shock and confusion with perfection but when Arnav turns her back on Khushi instantly her eyes become empathetic. Concern drenches each question not curiosity because KKG knows that at the end of the day Arnav is always uneasy about explaining his emotions and what he feels. Her eyes silently scan his back, waiting for him to respond. Yet when he ignores and turns away, she blocks his path, asserting herself because she deserves to know the truth. He can't accuse and leave.
Lastly the jalebis. Tradition has it that Khushi only resorts to making jalebis when she's under too much emotional stress and turmoil so it's telling that she didn't resort to jalebis after Arnav's initial blackmailing, or the dismissive and rude behaviour of the Raizadas and even after being disowned. What motivates her to make jalebis? This small revelation that SHE has caused him pain which floods her mind with big questions. I don't know if it was intentionally done by the CVs but if it was then kudos because I love it. The idea that she's hurt him gets to her, causes her anguish and though at time when he tried to turn away she made it seem she was upset about being "accused" it seems really that's not exactly what she's upset about...😆

As few other bits and pieces I liked were the dialogues. We had some full on ArHi bickering scenes - each had a response and retort to what the other would say. It worked well to show that the balance of powers in their relationship is almost restored especially now that Khushi has a little hint of the truth.
I honestly just hope the writers remain consistent from this point, I know its hard with a daily soap but its so worth it: seeing the story moving finally!
Would love to read thoughts, so please comment and like, today's episode had a quite a few ArHi moments but these two scenes stood out to me!
Much love,
