toi - Mohnish Behl quits Kuch Toh Log Kahenge

Mohnish Behl, who plays Dr Ashutosh in " Kuch Toh Log Kahenge", has quit the show. Sources claim that he was asked to leave due to his tantrums. Yesterday was his last day on set, where he shot his death sequence.

The buzz is that the actor was rather uncooperative on sets. "He would refuse to hold Kritika Kamra's hand and do romantic scenes with her because of his wife Ekta, who would often be on the sets. He threatened to quit the show several times too, so finally a decision was taken to ease him out," says the source. When asked if he had been shown the door, Mohnish said, "I have quit "KTLK" and would like to give no further comments at this time."

While producer Rajan Shahi was not available for comment, a source from the production house says, "The show is incomplete without Mohnish and Rajan is in talks with him. But if things dont work out, we plan to approach Dr Anuuj Saxena to replace him."

i always thought the not touching or holding hands or the subtle romance was the beauty of this show. the maturity shown by ashutosh is a wonderful counterbalance to niddhi's exuberance. if he was all over the girl it would be so ugly. but the suble distance maitained, the fleeting touches, and the eyelocks are the kind of things we see in movies of yesteryears and wish for in reality. he treats niddhi with respect and dignity. why did the CVs try to push for heavy duty romance. now we have lost such a wonderful and sensitive actor.
