A very interesting discussion here, my like button doesn't work, so couldn't 'like' all post, but find all points very valid...
Let me open another can of worms...Kittya the debate on when 'truely' life starts in the womb is age-old...Cancer cell have a 'life' of their own too...but we do surgically remove them too..many argue removing tumors are no less 'killing' a growing mass of cells...
Well I am not from the medical fraternity but I do beleive killing a tumor cell is very much different than getting rid of an embryo / feotus. Cancer / tumor can cause the death of a person but for normal healthy individual a pregnancy is not life threatening.
A tumor does not grow to become a separate entity after a timeframe, the bigger it gets the more hazardous it becomes. By the way legally as I stated previously Abortions are not legal in some countries but removing of tumors - well there is no laws against it.
