'Aye Aye Sir' in the Making at Powai's Chitrarth Studio
Powai (02 July 06) - Tony and Deeya Singh have already started work on their new serial after the success of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. Known to always venturing into new themes and ideas this time it is going to be the story of six cadets — four boys and two girls in a military school struggling, living and moving ahead with their experiences, circumstances and ambitions. The serial has been named 'Aye Aye Sir'. Set designer Neelabh Kapoor has created an academy ''worth Rs 1 crore'' in Film City and Powai's Chitrarth Studio where the cadets have been going through army - style rigours. Puneet Issar has been cast as Brigadier Chandok who owns KMA (Kanchanjunga Military Academy), in Ambala, Punjab. The academy has its set of rules and regulations which the cadets need to follow and get used to. For the rest of the cast there's Rajeev Khandewal as Captain Rajveer, Vikas Manaktala as Huda, the fun-loving flirt who adores his mother, Harshad Chopra as the very modest and co-operative Ali, Arjun Bijlani's as Aalekh, the ''bindaas dude who really didn't want to be at KMA, Kunal Kapoor as Yudi who joins the academy to make a mark in life, TVanchor Priyanka Bassi plays Naina, the all - ambitious girl of today and Ghazal Rai taking on the role of Pooja, the chirpy girl who wants to live out all her fantasies and dreams. To help the six get into the mood, in May, the cast was put through a few days of basic training at Raigad Military School. So the star cast promises a fine line up of fresh, new and talented people.

The producers have been inspired by the success and the place the serial 'Fauji' still holds in the hearts of the audience. The military school captures everyone's imaginations with its adventure and romance. So for all you 'Fauji' fans it is going to be a trip down memory lane and a feeling of de ja vous.
