In one of the episodes, when Lord Brahma is speaking to Daksh, the former reveals that Daksh had performed a severe penance to have Goddess Shakti as his daughter (Sati).
Do you think, Daksh may have had a hidden motive behind such a request from the Goddess? It's obvious he hates Lord Shiv, and he has also made it clear that he won't let Sati marry Shiv. I was just wondering, if Daksh's motive behind having Goddess Shakti as his daughter was to keep Lord Shiv separated from his ardhangini? Is that one of his ways of avenging the insult meted out to his father?

Hi:)
I may be totally wrong but I think that to start off with, Daksha didn't use to hate Shivji, he wanted to have Devi Sati as his daughter so he could reunite them to compensate for the pain Mahadev felt by splitting from his other half. As Mahadev took that on himself to help Brahma dev's creation, as his son, Daksha wanted to bring Sati-Shivji together. However, in the meantime, he perceived the action Mahadev ji took towards Brahama as an insult and started hating Shiv ji, hence now wanting to keep them apart.
