Hi friends, I have got an idea for a possible FF and I want your suggestions on it. Do tell me if you find the idea abhorrent.

Situation-

Kokila Modi is busy hunting for a bride for her son Ahem. She has approached all leading matchmakers and given them the specifications.

Kokila wanted a nave and docile in the age group 18-20 for her 36 year old son who was a widower with a year old boy. The girl was intended to live more like a nanny than a wife. The Modi's were rich and Kokila knew very well that she could get the type of girl she wants in this unfair world of ours.

A girl without parents or support network of any kind was Kokila's ideal prey because that way she could ensure that the girl won't run away if she found herself in a loveless marriage.

Hi.. The concept is good. But some of this has already been done by Nazma in Bandhan. Please have a read of that and if yours differs from that then by all means go ahead. Hope that's ok?

Your idea is good.

You shouldn't drop the idea just because someone else has done something similar.

Im sure if you write your fic, it will end up being different from Nazma's. And other than the storyline, Im sure yours and her writing will be different too
You shouldn't flush away an idea just because it is similar to someone else's

Sorry feviewer and queenyuks. I didn't mean to dissuade anyone from writing. I did say that the concept was similar to Nazma's but did say that if it did differ then by all means go ahead. Didn't mean it to come across heavy. Sorry, once again.

Don't be sorry love. You were just stating that the concept is similar. Nothing wrong with that.
I can understand feviewer's POV as well that if someone has written something similar before, its hard to stay out of critical eye and shadow.
But if you have an idea, and some inspiration, its best to explore it.
