I loved the way they showed Sati yesterday! Not only did she stand up to her tyrancial father and told the absolute truth wout embellishment or trying to avoid responsibility but ALSO stood up to Shiv ji's attempt to convince her that her love was not real. It was amazing and showed that despite popular misconception, women in ancient times could be a force to be reckoned with in themselves and perfectly able to defy unfair societal norms if in the right.
Such inspiration for women through the ages:)

Hey! No worries, am glad you did the same as me and watched it a zillion time, haha, I was hitting replay so many times, thought my sky box would die!😆
Yummy it was- both of them were so amazing- one was trying to be so self sacrificing but still in pain and the other in open pain and equally stubborn, just in a dignified way Clap
Btw- what's your name? If you don't mind me asking?Embarrassed I'm Shruti 😊

Omg- yeah I loved how independant and proud she was then and it also told him in no uncertain terms that she was not fooled with his explanation!

First Sati and then wait till we see Parvatiji- in our myths and legends women have been portrayed with character and with knowledge and wisdom; one wonders where the present day media get their crap trap portrayal of present day women. Women could learn vedas in the vedic period and could also go to battle if they took training. Now in serials especially we see women who are shown as brainless, and often craving for occasions like Valentine's day- a concept many do not understand is drawn on St. Valentine ( what does it have to do with the largely Hindu culture portrayed in serials, heaven only knows). Hence, it is great to see Sati's characterisation in this serial. Kudos to the CVs for their great work so far.
