BBAT: Bittersweet moments

I think it will be nice if we can share the bittersweet moments in our incredible journey we had with BBAT. A little over a year ago when I started watching a mere show on TV never thought in a million years on how close I would get to a TV show. What started as a beautiful concept became almost an obsession to many of us and everything about BBAT was very personal. The characters, the language culture everything was blended so nicely that we nearly forgot that it is a TV show and talked and thought about it as if our life depended on it. Well it did and does to some extent. 😆Even though there was sadness, we rode along with the characters with empathy and understanding towards each individual. Savoring the good moments and cursing the evils together made BBAT far more enjoyable and helpful for all of us during good and bad moments. Even during the darkest days of BBAT the forum was very supportive of each other and made the horrible wedding less painful than if we had to bear it on our own. I have read many forums but none can match the class, wit, talent, intelligence and support as much as this one. Even I as a complete solemn and practical person, who never writes anything except emails and technical documents, found myself drawn towards the irresistible urge to join the forum. So in spite of all that happened with BBAT I do not have any regrets and will always have fond memories of the forum that became a significant part of my life.

Also plan to add the actual good/bad things about BBAT under this thread. Maybe we can edit after seeing this week's episodes. So far we have

Good:

1.Great love story. 😳

2.Well written script. (well to the most part) 👏

3. Wonderful dialogs. 😊 Amazing lead pair. 👏

4. Great forum! 👏 Beautiful language and culture. 😊

5. Great supporting actors. 👏

6. Humor and cheerfulness whenever shown was awesome. 😆

7. Uniqueness and unpredictability of the plots. 👏

8. Subtle romance and delicate expression of love. Not brash like most others. 😳

9.Very touching narrative of the storyline for the most part. 👏

Bad:

1. Neelu and her atrocious wedding. 😡

@vanfan...Thanks Van, so beautifully expressed, filled with such heartfelt and truly genuine emotions!! You know how much I have always enjoyed your posts, and please know that I continue to do so. I still hang on to your every word, right up to the "bittersweet" end!! Very moving and profound!!

My BBAT journey was pretty much the same. Never in my wildest dreams I would have imagined myself getting so attached to a Hindi drama serial!! Especially as I did not understand a word of Hindi, nor was I even Indian by blood or nationality!! But I had stumbled upon Zee TV quite by accident,and had watched 2 other serials, but not from the start. That's when I first saw the promos for BBAT, and decided maybe I should take the opportunity of watching a new show,right from the very beginning!!

And the rest is history...I fell in love with BBAT...hook,line and sinker, and there was NO turning back!! I did not even know of the existence of an english speaking forum till months later, but never felt compelled to join. But due to work and travel commitments, the forum helped to fill in the many gaps, it was truly a lifesaver!!

Ironically, during this time, I discovered that one of my great grandmothers was originally from India!! So this has also been a journey of personal discovery for me as well.

After a particularly rough 2 months traveling for work, I returned and joined the forum in early Nov. Those were some really rough times for the show and for us all, I would not have survived it all without the support of the forum. Thank you... to each and every one of my faithful forum friends!!

Words cannot begin to express what a joyous,wonderful experience BBAT has been for me!! It has taken up residence in my heart and will find a home there...forever!! The beautiful memories will linger on for a long, long time to come. And whatever happens, I will always remember BBAT and the forum as a very special time in my life!!
