There's unrest on the sets of 'Twinkle Beauty Parlour' (SAB). Apparently, 28 actors from the show have been asked to leave without prior notice.
But programme head, Priya Mishra denies the allegations saying, "I think everything has been blown out of proportion. At some point there is a need to change the track. There will be a twist in the story soon and everything will fall into place."
On being questioned as to why the actors were not informed about this earlier she clarifies, "I am sure they were told. It is also the responsibility of the producer to keep the actors informed about the developments."
Maaninee Misshra, who was also shown the door is miffed about the incident. "We were not informed about this development. People who are professional and don't throw tantrums have been asked to leave while the others have been retained," she says.
Except for Narayani Shastri and Sulbha Arya, the others including Rajev Paul, Simple Kaul and Smita Bansal have been asked to leave. The upset actors are now planning to take action against the channel and the producers.
"Our planning is in the formative stages. We will fight against this. We have to question our rights. We also need to know how we would be getting paid now that our contract is over," informs Maaninee.
However, Priya says that the actors will be included in the track later. Producer Shrishti Arya who refused to comment on the issue concluded, "Every actor has the right to voice his or her opinion. This decision was taken by the channel."
