Written Update February 10, 2012

The Mamis are doing housework and are on the lookout for Amma. As soon as she comes, they speak loudly in front of her about a temple where people go and get cured because a divine presence visits there. They mention a baba and say that if someone loses their memory and goes to the mandir to pray they get their memory. Billo pipes up that the baba can also tell about punar janam (previous births) as well.

Then they talk about how it's not worth mentioning this to anyone because no one will listen to them about taking Runjhun there. So of course Amma takes the bait and goes to ask the Mamis about which mandir. Amma says she wants Runjhun to get better and is willing to go to the mandir. Mitho tells Amma which mandir the baba is at. Mitho and Kalsonwali try to "discourage" Amma from going and Amma decides to leave right away so she can come back sooner.

Billo goes to wake up Runjhun. (The room looks like it did when Guddu used to sleep in... All dark with a single ray of sunshine filtering in) Billo calls Runjhun's name and Runjhun thinks it's Guddu trying to wake her up and tells Guddu to go away and let her sleep. (Really? Billo sounds like a man now CVs??) Billo gives Runjhun chai to drink...(btw Runjhun is grumpy when she wakes up sounds like Guddu during the challenge😆) Runjhun keeps asking about Guddu and Billo keeps avoiding the question and instead tries to get Runjhun to drink her chai and eat her biscuit. Runjhun leaves to look for Guddu. (Guddu on the brain...😳) Mitho and Kalsanwali hide when Runjhun comes downstairs looking for Guddu. When Runjhun can't find Guddu she looks for Amma who is also no where to be found.

Kalsonwali and Billo keep avoiding telling Runjhun where Guddu has gone. (Why?? I don't get it. 😕) Mitho says she'll take Runjhun to see Guddu if she agrees to her terms... and tells Runjhun to be a "good girl" have breakfast and then they'll take her. Runjhun agrees. (Sigh...😡)

Guddu has Lakhan Misra ties to the bed and is sitting on a chair while Lakhan is yelling. Guddu threatens Lakahn to tell him the truth and answer his questions correctly. Lakhan says that he doesn't know anything and Guddu steps Lakhan on his hand. Guddu asks Lakhan where and how he found Runjhun and how he lost her memory. Lakhan continues to claim Runjhun is Joota Mata and Guddu says he knows Lakhan knows the truth and he won't leave until he hears the answers he wants.

Mami's take Runjhun to a baba and the baba is in the midst of doing an "exorcism" type thing on a woman who is screaming that she want to go home. The mami's talk about how the baba will get rid of the "bhoot" (ghost) that is possessing Runjhun. Runjhun asks where the Mamis brought her and where is Guddu. Mitho tells her that these people are here to meet Joota Mata and take blessing from her and that Guddu will be here soon. Runjhun is starting to look worried and asks again about all the people and who the baba is.

On hearing the mantras and bell again, Runjhun's head starts hurting and she starts seeing a flashback of her running from Pappu Yadav's goons (still blurred out). The Mamis restrain her and Runjhun see the havan fire. She asks them to put it out and starts seeing the flashback of Guddu taking the blasphemous pheras (😡). Runjhun is really scared and the Mamis drag her to the baba and the baba starts chanting. Mitho is holding Runjhun hand with the palm facing up. The baba reads the lines on Runjhun palms and realizes that Runjhun is a bhagonwali. He says that the ghost/soul posessing Runjhun is really strong and that this isn't the right place to remove the bhoot. They will have to change the location to get rid of the bhoot.

Precap: Guddu threatens Lakhan Misra to tell him the truth.


Guys, I have to say I didn't mind today. Why? Because hearing the mantras and seeing the fire is what is bringing Runjhun the flashbacks about escaping from Pappu and seeing Guddu betray her(why yes I did go there 😃). The Mamis are forcing her to listen to this on the superstition of her being possessed and maybe Runjhun will finally remember on being forced to sit through the mantras. Guddu stopped the mantras from happening because it was causing Runjhun pain but maybe this is the only way the CVs came up with to get Runjhun her memory back.

Thanks Rani for the WU. The update was wonderful as usual. I was more worried at the discussions than the actual update. Where did Amma go BTW? Was she not supposed to be with R all the time? But maybe as you say this is in fact going to help R get back her memory. I still do not think they can drag this beyond Monday. I am sure it will be history by Tuesday. At least I hope.😕

Thank you Rani. And to add to your last paragraph maybe when she does regain her memory she will give her M&Ms a good beating and blame them. I would love love love to see that.

Vanfan, the mamis sent Amma on a wild goose chase to a mandir. They told Amma that there is a baba at that mandir who can cure Runjhun. Amma went there to see for herself I think and meanwhile the Mamis grabbed Runjhun and took her to the actual baba who does the "healing."

They must have thought that if Amma went with them that she wouldn't let Runjhun be "cured."

edit: It occurs to me that your question may have been rhetorical... oops. 😆

Thanks Rani2007 for the update!This show is too slow!What if Runjhun fails to revert to normalcy? The mamma/mammis will have to live with a shoe deity for the rest of their lives.Another possibility is that the Baba may attempt to kidnap Runjhun for himself and defile (rape) her

He was never great at making decisions. That has been my argument for a long time. 😆He always springs into action without thinking and that is second nature to him as much as forgiving is to Runjhun!
