Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza's reception at a five star suburban hotel saw the who's who from the world of film, business and politics. This was the last event in the weeklong celebrations that began with a cocktail party hosted by his buddies
Fardeen Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala. Then came the sangeet which was more for the young crowd, and the wedding ceremony which had close friends and family. But the reception was a show of strength. It was classy and understated affair. The entire area was done up in red drapes and red roses. The bride glowed in a redpink-gold creation, and the groom wore a formal black bandhgala jacket. Both sets of parents were on the stage and welcomed the long stream of guests who poured in from 8 pm to late in the night. Ritiesh's brothers Amit and Dheeraj were seen taking care of the starry guests off the stage. The married couple greeted almost everyone with a warm hug. They touched feet of the elderly like Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan. This was
Aishwarya Rai's first public event after motherhood. Abhishek could not make it as he was shooting. We spotted Smita Thackeray, Nikhil Dwivedi, Bhushan and Divya Kumar Khosla, Mahesh Bhupathi, Chetan Bhagat, Chapsibhai Shah, Owner of Silk Museum,
Jacqueline Fernandez and Sajid Khan. Nita and Mukesh Ambani and Subrata Roy with his family were also present. Solo entries were made by Rekha, Kangana Ranaut
among others.
