The shoouing of the show 'Mamta' (Zee) was suddenly called off on Monday because of some 'unfortunate incidents' on the sets.
According to sources, actor Reshma Modi, who replaced Nishigandhawadh as Damyanti, apparently started acting weird.
"It all started with her screaming at the hair dresser because she was wearing green clothes. She insisted that the hair dresser leave because she couldn't stand the colour green. When the shot was ready, Reshma slapped co-actor Preeti Puri (Tanisha) for no reason," reveals an insider on conditions of anonymity.
Even while the atmosphere on the sets started getting uneasy, the lady suddenly poured cold water on actor Anand Suryavanshi (Akshay). She incidentally plays Akshay's mother in the show.
Though the shooting was delayed because of these incidents, the unit members tried talking to Reshma who had disappeared from the sets by then.
Finally when they managed to trace her, she had locked herself in the make-up room and remained there for hours.
When Preeti was questioned about this she confirmed the incident saying, "It was quite unfortunate that something like this happened. But I don't want to comment on it. We are all actors and I do not want such things to affect her career." Reshma has earlier acted in 'Lavanya'.
