Excerpts from an interview:

Do you prefer being with your family or enjoy being alone?

I don't like to be alone and I believe nobody wants to be alone. So I guess that I'm like everybody else. But I do enjoy my space. As we're a close knit and joint family, there are always people around you. When I go for an outdoor location I get some time and couple of days for myself. But I keep missing my family.

What is your idea of an ideal marriage?

Marriage is a relation that you have to learn to cope with and have to put your efforts to make it work. You've to be obsessive about every relation not only marriage. But a great marriage does not necessarily mean that you're perfect. Today we are influenced by the West and the result is that people believe that marriage is not the only mode of happiness. A lifetime's treasure is better than a moment's pleasure.

Both you and Dharmendra are handsome. Who is sexier according to you?

Young or old I consider my dad to be the best looking man ever. There is no comparison between him and me in regard to looks. Undoubtedly he is far more sexier. I get embarrassed when people call me sexy. I prefer staying away from all such tags. But I don't have any complains, I'm happy being Bobby. I cannot even try to be like my father. I can never be what he is and what he has done for me.

Did any other women other than wife Tanya ever tempt you?

Both sons and father are working together for the first time in Apne. Who outdid the others?

None, we're a family and don't compete with each other. We are very simple beings.

You've never cropped your long hair.

I like it that way. When I started my career I had long hair. I prefer my looks with long hair. Today it has become a kind of identity for me. But now my wife's hair is longer and I'm trying to reach her length.
