Ok I don't know about anyone else but I actually pretty much loved most of today's episode. I do not ever expect the Hrishikesh magic to return but today I did feel that a certain amout of the magic I associate with this show had come back. Honestly, my expectations were low but somehow I was feeling the tug I once did (even if it's not completely back, it still was there). Sometimes I wish people didn't view everything as black and white. Yes Jeevika should have spoken up, we all know that but how about someone emphasises on the pain she went through when she overhead Swamini saying how the members of the Wadhera household are her family, not Manvi. What's even more shocking is that people are attacking her so much when other characters such as Vanshika, Virat and Kadambhari didn't do much to defend Manvi either. They all knew the full story right? But they have got hardly any criticism from anyone in the forum, in fact mostly nil. Do you know why? Because the story isn't about them. It's about Jeevika and Manvi so all our love, anger and frustration is primarily directed at them. This is EXACTLY why the show is called 'Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai'. It's their flaws that matter more than anything else. The writers haven't moved away from the original theme...its RIGHT THERE! Smack bang in the middle of everything! If loving someone so much that your life depends on them is being spineless then yes Manvi is spineless and she has been since the first promo aired. SO what's so shocking now? Talking about promos, she also asked 'Kya aap reh sakte ho apni puri zindagi apno ke saath?'. We aren't even THERE yet! It's all going to come out gradually. I've said this before and I'll say it again, this show is a love story of two sisters and in any love story there are ups & downs, conflicts and there will be many times where you just want to strangle the main leads for being the way they are.

SO anyway, back to the episode. The things I loved...

  • Jeevika's reaction when Swamini was preaching about 'moving on'. Now everyone will see how much longer Jeevika can go on without Manvi.
  • Manvi's flashbacks of their childhood. Oh how I missed them!! The beautiful background music which defines the essence of the show was back. It was so touching the way Manvi was talking to herself and wondering how she can ask for forgiveness this time
  • Virat's support to Manvi was adorable. Even Viren telling Jeevika to call Manvi was a sweet gesture. Also liked how Virat was trying to make Manvi smile (though I wish there was more seriousness in the way he was saying it).
  • THE MOST IMPORTANT scene which once again proves why this show is aptly titled. One sister closing the door on the other while both cry to themselves. The door symbolised the rift between them but the emotions portrayed their REAL love. The emotion of need, affection and just simply the pain of being torn apart from their soul. The 'Khoon ka rishta' dialogue made me squee silently inside even though I was heavy-hearted. Jeevika sobbing to the ground showed how much it was hurting her. She told Manvi to get out yet couldn't actually see her leave. The 'Miss you' was beautiful!
  • Last Viren-Jeevika scene. No matter what anyone says but Jeevika is just FOOLING herself. Even the viewers should know that. How convincing was her statement that Manvi is not her life?? There's no point of jumping at her when we could all see she didn't really mean it.

I feel that the upcoming track will actually prove a lot of things to Jeevika. One, that she cannot take Manvi for granted. Two, that Manvi is still the most important person in her life.

I love your post!

I actually just read the written update and I was hell shocked when Jeevika told that Manvi is no more her life. I was furious.

But then I saw the episode. Those words which she said are NOT from her heart. She said it with such pain. It was like someone was forcing her to say like that.

Her eyes said it all that scene. Her eyes spoke high volumes of love that she has for her Mannu.

@reemz , I will only comment on one statement of your post rt now, rest later... When you say the viewers should know that...how? Isnt that the CV's job to convince the viewers? Who can/should we blame if the viewers are not feeling it...just a thought.

Exactly! I'm so excited to watch it on TV too cos it gives it a whole new feel! That's why I said I'll get back to this later cos once I watch it on TV, all my doubts and thoughts would be satisfied and I'd be in a much better position to comment.

Loved today's episode. It was just completely behnacentric. Even if they were not physically both in the scene, it was all about them, literallyevery scene. Life isn't black and white, why should drama be? The grey aspects of any show provide great moral battles within one's character. I frankly enjoy shows so much more when they are aspects of grey in every characters, makes watching a lot more fun.

When Jeevika left the room, I first thought that Maanvi would leave without saying anything to her Di. However, how Maanvi leave without talking Jeevika that would be impossible. It was lovely to see the pain and anguish on the part of both sisters. Jeevika is just as flawed as Maanvi, she could have spoken up on behalf of her sister, but after being confronted with everything as soon she got home. Anger took over, the knowing what happened was not essential. Swamini words were as harsh today as the words that came from of Jeevika yesterday. Yet, her reaction and pain to those words from someone else mouth, showed her real feelings for her sister. Her words are just anger at the situation.

The actually sister scene was the most prominent of the whole episode. They were back. Krystle and Nia were on top form. Jeevika leaving, I feel just showed how she couldn't see her sister leave the way she was, disgraced and embarrassed for her actions. The closed door symbolised the rift that is and will form between them. They both hid from each other yet conveyed their pain through all the barriers. It was an emotion filled scene. The 'khoon ka rishta' line made me so happy from the inside, it was lovely to hear again and was right for that situation; Jeevika sobbing throughout displayed her true feelings. Simple as. The 'miss you' at the end. Oh... just icing on the cake, I don't know if that was scripted if it was beautiful if not magnificent on Krystle's part. She hasn't even left yet and she is missed by her Di.

Virat even said that he knows it is not her fault and she has become the scapegoat, yet he nor other have stated this to Jeevika and Viren, who actually think that Maanvi is at fault. How she was able to convince a 40+ man to do something he wouldn't want to do is beyond me. However, the story is about the sisters so if Jeevika had known the truth she would have sided with Maanvi, causing no tension between them, thus no story development. They can't just skip along merrily forever, that would get very tiresome. Stories of love any stories of love, need their bad times as well as their good times. It those times that make you stronger as a couple. Difficulties in a relation are remembered just as much as happiness. You will always dislike one over the other during their arguments because of their point of view, but that's who they are portraying. That annoying arrogant person, yet they find they way back to each other eventually.

The last scene with Viren and Jeevika is perfect and understandable on all parts. Viren knows the sisterly love, which is why he wants to mend the fences before it escalades. And coming to Jeevika's words, I don't believe that she act upon the words she has said. That words her out of anger, once her anger calms, so will her words. She can spend a few days anger at Maanvi, but cannot spend her entire lifetime without her sister.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming story and hope I can describe it has magically, but I don't want to have too high expectations, otherwise we will get disappointment. Excuse me long post, I often get carried away, once I start.

Agree. I thought it was very obvious how hard it was for Jeevika to do this. She is standing by her principle of choosing duty over love but not for long.

Well of course it's up to one's individual perception but I thought the way Jeevika struggled to say those words said a lot. It's not like she believed in what she was saying. In my view, Jeevika is so adamant on sticking by the 'sanskaars' Beeji gave her that she actually believes choosing her in-laws over her maternal family is the right way to go. She's very conventional that way but this is the calm before the storm. The love in her heart for Manvi will overshadow all her duties and obligations one day.
