Just saw today's episode after a bunch of hardship from my problematic laptop...but mission February 1st accomplished! 😎
This week, I've been watching Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri BEHNA Hai. I can finally say that after an extremely long time 🤣 The show is finally getting back on track...a track that's actually moving, I'd say 😛 I honestly haven't had the motivation to watch/post for a while because I failed to feel the essence that this show initially created. WEEKS of episodes without the EK HAZAARON MEIN MERI BEHNA HAI part of EHMMBH thinking about each other let alone interacting. I really wish the CTs found a way to maintain the soul during the honeymoon/Manvi's stay in Chandigarh...but no use crying of spilt milk, so I won't preach about it. 😛 I'm just really relieved to see that the focus is back on the behnas after so long, but the CTs really need to keep it going to keep interest and garner attention. Most people aren't happy with the lack of consistency...so there really needs to be a convincing flow to the story.
I've been reading various posts from various posters in the forum and I'm not surprised at what's being said at all. 😛 A lot of people are under misconceptions, regarding Jeevika's dialogues, actions and most importantly, the love she has for Manvi. Yes, she was harsh...yes, she could have spoken up...all in all, she could have taken a different approach to this issue. This track was extremely necessary for the story's sake...but also for the characters' sake. Neither Jeevika nor Manvi are perfect characters, which makes the show even more intriguing. Focusing on Jeevika as most aren't happy with, she said it during the FIRST episode of the show...duty over love. Yesterday, she fulfilled the duties of being a Vadhera bahu...but aren't the DILs who triumph from solving problems in their sasural always happy at the end? Why isn't Jeevika satisfied? THIS is what makes Jeevika different from your typical DIL...because her happiness isn't dependent on the happiness of her sasural...it's dependent on MANVI. Jeevika doesn't get happiness from taking away the love in her life...you could see her state yesterday, during the JM scene. As for Manvi, you mentioned the initial promos of the show...those definitely support both characterizations. Manvi called Jeevika her "zindagi"...her LIFE. Her emotions always have some connection to Jeevika. Does that really mean that she's spineless? She can't stand her ground? I beg to differ...having a weakness doesn't mean that you're weak. JEEVIKA is her weakness...but along with being her weakness, she's her strength IMO. Manvi is definitely a very poignant and heartfelt character...but like Jeevika, she also has flaws which is the whole point! I mean, have you ever seen a fictional TV show that just has shots of people smiling for 22 or so minutes? What if both Jeevika and Manvi were perfect and it was just "I love you" all the time? Would people watch that? EHMMBH works because of BOTH sisters and their differences...but how these differences define JM's love. <3
Anyways, I'll come back to the episode (any classes on how to learn this? 🤣)...absolutely LOVED yesterday's episode (feels so good to say that)!!!! 😳 I tried keeping my expectations low but after I read what KD said in that interview, they rose automatically. I guess I was just expecting JM to come back with a bang, considering there was no sign of them for so long...and even though the bang was coated with pain, it was extremely poignant (SADISM ZINDABAAD 🤣). The direction and dialogues were bang on...and the flawless performances by KD and NS along with their beautiful chemistry NAILED the episode for me. The Rishikesh magic...I don't know how or if it can be brought back...but I FELT the emotions after a very long time, so that gives me some hope. 😛
LOVED Jeevika's reaction to Swamini's words. Swamini said that Jeevika should be worrying about ONLY them and not about Manvi...to which she backed up upon. Disbelief...I mean, how could Jeevika even imagine that a day would come where she'd be asked not to worry about Manvi? Her walking back symbolized her decision of walking back against the LOVE in her life. As she put her hand over her mouth...she knew what she was about to do. After this, it was Manvi's flashback scene that got to me. Before the flashback start, she's packing like a robot. Not caring about what's going in...like Jeevika, she's in disbelief. She can't believe what had just happened...her everything...her world...her Di turned on her. Told her to leave and never come back...she abandoned her. She said she'd always protect her...but today, she was all alone. Mannu's ideas of apologizing made my heart sink...there's so much innocence in this character...absolutely beautiful. Manvi has always been able to manao Jeevika...but this time, she knows that life isn't so simple anymore. *sigh* Everything reminds her of Jeevika...a laptop bag, a hand on her shoulder (Jeevika supporting her...having her back...). Now comes the most heartbreaking yet impactful scene...door scene. Jeevika can't even get herself to look at Manvi...let alone talk to her...her soul is going away and she can't bear to see it. She can't break down in front of Manvi and make it harder for her to leave but she can't keep her heavy emotions inside her. She's tolerant...but this...it's too much...and she runs from there. LOVED the way the scene was shot...on one side, you have Manvi's desperation and tadap for Di...and on the other side, you have Jeevika's pain and suffering because of what's happening on the other side of the door. Jeevika saying MANNU and not Manvi, also meant a lot to me...her Mannu. Jeevika gave the ultimatum of her own happiness in front of Manvi, because she knew Manvi wouldn't retaliate...that's all Manvi wants. *sigh* THE KHOON KA RISHTA DIALOGUE...can't believe that they incorporated that...what a beauty!!! Would have never imagined it in this context though...but the changes in the JM atmosphere are one of the best parts. You could see JM's hearts breaking every second...especially towards the end. "Apna khayal rakhna..." Jeevika's eyes shifted back to the door and Manvi caressing the door...and the "I'll miss you..." OMG, absolutely CRUSHING. :(((((((((( Jeevika closing her eyes...wanting this bad dream to end...and Manvi walking away from her fairytale...</3 Jeevika's turn to caress the door...and then the "I'll miss you too" while her life is becoming dark...(how can someone perceive this the wrong way?) Manvi turning around and Jeevika falling down...her foundation is broken. PAIN WRITTEN ALL OVER THIS SCENE...BUT IT WAS MADE FOR US SADISTS. This scene shifted a part of me...the background score (DEKHO HUM TUM VERSE!!!! :((((()...the emotions...the PERFORMANCES...THE CHEMISTRY...OMG, KD AND NS AT THEIR BEST!!!!! :(((((( CRUSHING scene...it's still not out of my head...I played Hexic for 3 hours after I saw it and all I could think about was the scene...its impact was so hard. *sigh* One of the most beautiful yet heartbreaking scenes I've seen on TV...can't even express how meaningful it was. :((( Virat was really sweet. to his bandariya in the car. but nothing can cheer up Mannu till Di talks to her.and the JV scene hurt a lot at the end. *sigh* Really glad the Chaudharys are back though...favourite family on TV! <3
As for today's episode, I liked the first JV scene...how Jeevika was so stuck in the middle. Viren was so sweet...but like Mannu's state in the previous episode, nothing can ease Jeevika's pain. The JV hug was really nice too. Beeji-Manvi scene really got to me...Manvi yearning for Jeevika SO much and Beeji so confused...Anju Mahendru and Nia were FANTASTIC. Nia's crying always gets to me...it's so real...:(((( Jeevika out of it on the stairs...omg, her not eating reminded me of Manvi refusing to eat during JM's fight after they switched identities...*sigh* Jeevika was extremely broken...sitting alone...her thoughts were preoccupied by the girl in Rishikesh. She just runs from Viren...that's the impact her sister has on her, which she's slowly realizing...she's extremely dependent on her. The slight mention of Jeevika's name shook up Manvi, on the card for the laptop..."world's best Di..." Always and forever for Manvi...her world. Jeevika looking at everyone's gifts was really poignant...but the phone scene was what got my attention. *sigh* Manvi throws it down...and Jeevika picks it up...fixing her mistakes...oh goodness, the connection they share. :((((( What a beautiful wallpaper...Jeevika won't change it...even after her wedding...because her life is with Manvi...her life IS Manvi. Jeevika hugging it close to her heart, caressing the picture...and Manvi looking at her Di's picture...*sigh* This scene really emphasized the connection they both share, regardless of the distance. <3 KD and NS ROCKED during the scene...it's THEIR week for sure <3 The emotions portrayed are so genuine and natural...you can't help but at least choke or feel that lump in your throat. The last time it was this evident was during the wedding...I felt that again after a very long time and I'm not complaining. *sigh*
The IBN7 segment showed us glimpses of Viren telling Jeevika, lying on the bed, that Manvi was right...JM reunion coming real soon!!!! <3333333 Can't wait to see it...gonna be a tearjerker for sure...*sadism forever*!!!! 🤣 KT said that Manvi's health is deteriorating and a bandage was shown on Nia's hand during the IBN7 segment...illness track...coming right up...*sigh* So many things have motivated me to watch this show again...and I'm looking forward to see how everything unfolds!!!! Enjoying EHMMBH after a very long time...LOVING IT <3
