I have absolutely no kind words to describe the wrath I feel towards the CVs! What a slap in the face to a chaste relationship, based in love! Today, it was made to seem so carnal, so vulgar.
Mohan decided to consummate his marriage with Kastur ONLY after he was certain of his feelings and his love for her. Why make him out to be something he is not with this inane, ridiculous, self-righteous, emotional blackmailing that resulted today? Mohan could have taken Kastur a long time ago, because the very dharm Kastur goes on & on abt very well allows her husband the right to do so! But he chose not to do it because of a sense of propriety, of decency, ultimately, of RESPECT!
This show is based on patni dharm...Let's get this straight: nowhere in the Hindu scriptures does it say that a wife has the right to demand repentance, prayaschit, under any circumstances. The CVs have bludgeoned our scriptures, feeding us utter crap in the name of a story. At his time of need & weakness, Kastur extends the upper hand; her support comes with a repugnant ultimatum. Where is the ardhangani, CVs? Where is the person who is an equal partner? Oh, and all this while she, Kastur, can continue to lie & justify--in the name of dharm-- when its convenient for her! In return, she doubts her husband's--her 'GOD''s, mind you-- words, his intentions. His touch, just his proximity next to her is akin to some kind of sin...is he so weak that he cannot control himself? Is he so weak that he cannot be responsible and right his wrong? You grossly underestimate your own so-called love so, Kastur!
In the Hindu tradition, marriage is a meeting & a mating of two souls...unfortunately, today's epi proved that Kastur never really understood Mohan or his soul--to me, her so-called 'love' and devotion is selfish...not selfless...sadly, a mockery in the name of true dharm...
Creative license taken too far, CVs...way too far!
