Hi Friends,

Thank you so much for such fantastic and encouraging comments. I am happy that most of you liked Maan's entry along with that song. I was personally very excited about it as I always wanted Maan-Geet entry to a Radha Krishan song which I didn't get in any FF. So I just wrote it in mine. 😆

LuvScooby asked me for English dialogues. I try to use mix of Hindi and English language because this is how I imagine it and is also the most preferred language used Delhi region. Also, I try to use generally very simple Hindi and stay away from heavy Hindi words.

I believe that giving only English dialogues will hamper the flow of the story. Please reconsider and let me know if you find it very hard. In that case I will try to give English translations.

Thanks Ruchshah for pointing out my mistake. I corrected it.

Anu – Sorry dear but updates for this FF will be little slower than my other one. Just very busy. But I will try to give atleast one and mostly two updates a week.

Piggy – Thanks for the lovely banner. Also, I will definitely centrally align it this time. Also I am going back on my words. This Sunday I started typing and you know me. Once I start I just keep on going and going to bore you all with all details. Hence Marriage will now happen in less than 10 parts not 5.

It will be quite an emotional roller coaster ride and I am biting my nails with tension because of it. Maan has a very complex character so trying my best to get it right.

Aish –Thanks dear for your encouraging words. This whole concept of FF came to my mind based on three things – Kisna song, VIVAH movie and one more song. That is a surprise which will come further down but I will point it out to you.

Awesomepooja –I know it is a little confusing. But I will clarify exactly where this FF starts from the movie VIVAH. Here I have assumed that Poonam did not survive the operation. Hopefully next few updates will clarify the point further.

Cyberlife –Thanks a lot dear. Your words in the FF and your PM with detailed feedback and suggestion was very encouraging. All my readers need to thank you for today's update. Your PM inspired me so much that I got up at 5:00 in the morning and penned down 5 chapters in one go.

Chapter 3

In the car

SD – "Aaj Geet ko dekh kar humein Poonam ki yaad aa gayi. Yaad hai aapko Dev aur Meera, jab hum Poonam se milne gaye the tab unhone bhi kitna acha Raadha-Krishan pe bhajan gaaya tha"

SD hummed the bhajan – "Radha Krishan ki jot….."

Meera laughed as she ruffled Vicky's hair as he slept– "Woh toh hai daadima. Geet hai bhi Poonam ki tarah bahut khoobsurat. But I don't think they have any more similarities. Poonam ek chote shahar ki bholi bhaali ladki aur Geet Delhi mein badi hui modern khayalat ki ladki hai"

SD smiled – "Use se kya farak padta hai Meera. Mana ki Geet chote shahar se nahi hai. Yeh bhi maante hain ki shayyad un mein woh masumiyat nahi hai jo Poonam mein thi par dil toh phir bhi sacha aur pyaar bhara ho sakta hai. Aap bhi to Delhi se hi hain but you are so lovely Meera. Aur phir waise bhi, Maan kaun se same hain.

Poonam ke waqt Maan masoom the aur ab business tycoon. Humein aaj bhi yaad hai ki woh kitna nervous ho rahe the akele Japan jaane mein. Woh toh Poonam ka hausla tha jo woh gaye. Aur ab, ruthlessness and business sense is second name for Maan Singh Khurana.

Tab woh khud ek bhole bhale, hansmukh ladke the. Aur ab, hum to unki muskurahat hi bhool gaya hain. Unki zindagi sirf kaam aur kaam.

Us waqt unke komal dil ko shayad Poonam ki zaroorat thi. But now, I think he needs someone who can understand his dark moods and still shower her love.

Pata nahi kyon, aaj Geet ko dekh kar humare dil mein ek nayi excitement hai."

Dev turned from the front seat – "Koi fayda nahi hai Daadi ma. I know Handas well and they are a very respectable family. Lekin Bro jab shaddi ke liye ready hi nahi honge toh dreams dekhne se kya fayda."

Savitri Devi kept quite but she could not stop dreaming.

2:00 PM in the night

Maan was surprised to hear knocking at the door. He groaned checking the time and opened the door to find a very flustered Nakul.

Nakul – "Sir, Daadi Maa ki tabiyat achanak se kharaab ho gayi hai….Jaldi aayiye"

Maan ran to daadi Ma's room to find her breathing heavily and almost unconscious. He lifted her in the arms and took her hospital. Meanwhile Dev joined him too after calling the hospital and making all arrangements.

Savitri Devi stabilized in the morning as it was a case of low blood pressure and nothing much to worry about. Doctors informed Maan that she can be discharged in the afternoon.

Evening, Daadima's room

Maan caressed his daadi's hands gently. He had tried to make himself strong enough to take any storm in his life. But his daadi ma still had a soft spot in his heart. After all she was more than just his daadi.

His thoughts were broken as Savitri Devi caressed his cheek lovingly.

"Aap bahut thak gaye hain Maan…jaiye thodi der aaram kar lijiye. Sorry aapko is tarah daraya humne, par ab hum bilkul thik hai"

Maan smiled – "I am ok daadi ma. Aap aaram kijiye. Main yahi hoon"

Savitri Devi led out a sigh. She was very worried about her eldest grandson.

Maan – "Kya soch rahi ho aap…koi pareshaani hai"

Savitri Devi looked at Maan and finally decided to talk to him - "Maan beta, humein koi pareshaani nahi par aapki bahut chinta hai. Please beta, Poonam ko gaye 2 saal se bhi zayda…"

Maan got up with a jerk – "Please Daadi ma…mein is bare mein koi baat nahi karna chahta"

Maan stopped short of walking out as he heard his daadi ma call him – "Beta, hum jaante hain…samajhte hain aapke dukh ko. Hum aape pe koi pressure nahi daal rahe hain, na hi koi zabardasti karna chahte hain. Please, ek baar humaari puri baat sun lijiye"

Maan gulped down his saliva and settled his heart before coming back and sitting beside daadi ma.

SD continued - "Beta, aap jaante hain humne aapke daadaji koi bahut pehle hi kho diya tha. Phir aapke mom dad bhi humko chod ke chale gaye. Humne aapko responsibility ki tarah nahi balki apne bete ki tarah bada kiya hai. I hope aap humari baat ko samjhenge.

Bahut kuch dekha hai humne is zindagi mein. Lekin my family has been always been there with me. Hum shikyat nahi kar rahe Maan kyonki I know you all love me a lot aur shayad, aapke liye, Dev ke liye humse badhkar koi nahi. Lekin phir bhi, raat ke andhere mein, zindagi ke kai modh pe, humne akela pan mehsoos kiya hai beta aur aaj bhi karte hain.

Jeevan saathi ke bina zindagi kitni adhuri hai yeh ehsaas sirf dukhon ke waqt nahi, par roz, har khushi, har gham mein mehsoos hota hai. I have you all but still I miss your dadaji Maan.

Aaj tum young ho, apna waqt kaam se bhar lete ho. Lekin kal….kal kya karoge Maan. Will it never bother you that you work but for what, for whom and why. Dev and Meera are there but they have their lives too. Everyone has their lives Maan. Vicky will be independent and busy in his life too and hum…hum toh shayaad tab tak rahe bhi na"

Maan intervened – "daadi ma…"

"Nahi Maan…death is a truth which everyone has to face. But life is also another truth which you have to face. Hum yeh nahi kehta ki aap Poonam ko bhul jaiye. But is our heart only capable of loving one person at a time? Can it only accept one relationship at a time? Kya aapne kabhi bhi aapni zindagi ke khaalipan ko mehsoos nahi kiya hai Maan?

Maan walked back to his room through the long dark corridors. His grandmom's words ringing in his ears. How many times in last two years he has sat alone in his dark bedroom, not only feeling the pain but suffocation. Suffocation of loneliness…..not able to talk to anyone…not able to share.

He felt the same suffocation as he entered his dark room once again. He wanted to scream but he just ended up hiding his face in his palms as he sat resignedly on the rocking chair.

He forced himself to get up after few minutes, walked to bathroom and change in his tracks. He switched on his laptop and opened the photograph of his Poonam. He relaxed back in the chair and just stared at the laptop screen settling in for another long dark and forlorn night.

Honestly d way u described d inner turmoil of Maan made me feel evry bit of d pain n confusion hes goin thru in his life..
Its sooo difficult to get ova d 1st luv of ur life.. N d way Maan lost Poonam ws even more dreadful.. He cant hate her.. He couldnt save her.. It must b soo difficult 4 him..

Evry action of his spoke volumes bout his pain.. His jammed emotions.. His cry which doesnt even cum out.. He couldnt even scream out his pain.. Hes sooo under d effect of dat incident dat its difficult 4 him 2 let out his emotions.. Speak his pain.. Share d inner tumoil of his.. Get back to being wht he ws.. Its ol a dream 4 him nw.. He cant think of gettin ova Poonam.. He luvd her sooo much.. He cant think of luvin sum1 els.. Being cheerful again wen his source of happiness is snatchd from him long back.. He cant think of being soft bcz d person hus love n ehsaas melted his heart hs long back melted in dat fire... Its sooo painful to even think of laughing when the person hu he laughed with died wid cry.. Its jz sooo heart-wrenchin..

D way he juz hid himslf n his pain in his palms..stoppin his screams of pain from cumin out... D way he juz lost hmslf in d face of his Poonam wen he felt lonely... He cudnt speak out 2 ne1.. N dats y.. In his silence wen he lukd at d pic of Poonam, he spoke his pain..his wrenchd heart..his cry evrythin.. Its still poonam 2 whom he speaks his pain.. She may nt b physically thea n he may nt b speakin literally but he still speaks out to her..

Loved it. Very sensible advise from daadima, and Maan could understand it better because he has been feeling this loneliness for a while now. Sab kuch theek ho jaayega 😃

Loved it dear, i really feel what dadima said to maan is absolutely right and i think maan should give his life a second chance by thinking of bringing happiness in his dark life and i think only geet can do that.
