Riva Bubber (who played Damini in Kyunki…) was in Dubai recently for the inauguration of a shopping mall. "I went to Dubai two days after the IIFA awards concluded," says Riva. In fact, she put up in the same hotel where the film stars had stayed.
One day, when Riva went to the hotel's coffee shop, a teenaged boy came running to her. "He was gesticulating and trying to say something but without words. I found that rather strange." Then, she learnt that the boy wanted to take a picture with her. "I was shocked when I realised that the boy was mute," says Riva.
She eventually had coffee with him and the boy was happy to get his picture clicked with Riva. "He had an entire album of photos of himself posing with various film stars, from Saif Ali Khan to Amitabh Bachchan!" she says.
Riva sure must be happy to be featured in the same league!
