I generally am a silent member but this serial has inspired me to come out and share my thought. I think that the story is based on the story of the poet Madhumita Shukla in UP who was murdered on the orders of a politician by the name of Amarmani Tripathi, who was instrumental in her meteoric rise to fame as well. She was also in a relationship with a guy named Anuj who she had reportedly married. Amarmani kept her in a separate house but when he got bored of her and tried to get rid of her, she would not go quietly. So apparently she was silenced by killing her. At the time, she died, she was also pregnant by him. Amarmani has been in prison since 2003.
What brought it eventually all out in the light of the day, was a diary that Madhumita kept. A very sad and tragic story of a talented girl who had big dreams and was led astray by the big lights of the city. Do you think I am on the right track here? Look forward to your thoughts.
