SBS interview with Apu n Shilpa

Yesterday there was an interview of Apu n Shilpa on 'Saas bahu aur Saajish', w.r.t the special episode to be telecast today.

Shilpa's dressed in sky Blue Saree. Apu's in a dark Blue. He's looking very mature and very very very HOT, as usual!

All through, both esp Apu had a hard time keeping a straight face. They seemed to be highly thrilled and amused.

Reporter to A: What are you doing in Kkussum?

Shilpa butting in: Following his wife

Apu grinning at her boyishly and with a highly amused laugh : I am here to select an engagement ring for my would be on-screen wife with my off-screen wife.

They show separate clippings of both the duo in their respective serials.

Reporter: What do you think about these inter-mingling of characters from different serials? Why are they done and to what advantage?

Apu, thinking it over, Shilpa's hand on his shoulder: I think novelty. You get to see something new. The viewers love to see J in K and K in J and the same with any serial. The routine is broken. The viewers have lot of fun.

Reporter to Shilpa: Do you care for Jewellery?

Shilpa (Apu smiling away brilliantly): I am not a Jewellery person. I don't like to load myself up with Jewellery. But I don't mind a piece or two. She shows off her chain with a tear drop pendant (I think) gifted by her Hubby.

Apu interrupts and says the question ought to have been put to him. She likes nothing but diamonds! Naturally!

Shilpa screams that after her engagement ring, the chain's the only diamond he's gifted her. She says with mock-anger that she ..talk about that later.

Reporter: How much jewellery do you get as gifts?

Shilpa: I don't like to get things as gifts I cannot use. I love clothes. So, I keep telling him to gift me clothes, no jewllery. He'sgiven me this chain on my B'day which I can always wear and my engagement ring.

And her engagement ring. (It's soo beautiful. Apu's got some taste! Not flashy or gaudy but elegant and stylish! Every woman's dream!

Apu makes a cute face with thumbs down sign in her direction!

Reporter with a chuckle to Shilpa: How do you feel selecting a ring for your husband's fiance?

Shilpa: I told him one thing that don't get too excited and go all romantic and start chanting Jassi this Jassi that.

She laughs, leans against him and says: Just kidding.

Then the Tham jaa clipping. Armu and Jassi in Black.

Apu's left hand scratching his chin and him smiling wide.

Shilpa: It's actually good because I have discovered a lot of things that I have never experienced before. Today while I was standing with him I felt a different emotion. I am excited and happy because I did a new thing and felt a new emotion.

Then the Holi clippings.

Reporter to Apu: Now your turn. It's your first time too with Shilpa. How do you feel about working together?

Apu smiling: We both have thought it out. It is for the channels to take the lead now.

They look really cute together. They were very comfy and natural. Nothing stilted or artificial. Made for each other.
