It is a bitterly contested divorce.IF it was a mutually agreed one,THEN Brahma's attempted molestation of Priya would have nothing to do with the case.
This is a case were both are casting aspersions on the CHARACTER of the other so the attempt to rape & the subsequent harassment she & her family faced at the hands of her molester DEFINITELY have bearing & cast light on Jhakkar's character & misuse of power--so it has everything to do with strengthening Devyani's case!
It can definitely strengthen Devyanis case but at the moment there is allegations of Brahmas infidelity. How he treated Devayni in the past and the long line of women in his life. And for this Uttaras testimony is required.
And now with Brahma making false accusations on Devayni about having an affair and making her look like she is the one at fault they will need concrete evidence to prove Brahma as a man who will misuse his power to do anything and to get what he wants.
This is where Priya will come in as the last resort to save Devyani from further humiliation. And to prove Priya is telling the truth this is where RD comes in and i'm sure she can get the police officer involved with Priyas arrest.
