Hi everyone, thought I'd write up my feelings about today!!
Why exactly is Kokila being so confrontational towards Ahem? I hope against hope that there is a deeper, positive meaning behind the whole thing but more and more I feel Kokila can feel the control slipping away from her - and she ain't happy!! The difference between her reaction to Ahem being with Gopi and evertyone else's is marked! However it has to be noted that most of her antagonism seems to be more towards Ahem - does this mean that Koki knows that Ahem is making all the running?
Another little thing I noticed but I'm not sure if it's just the way it was shot, when Kokila was making snidey comments at Ahem, Rashi had almost a smirk on her face - it wasn't fully fledged but there seemed to be something there (I could be reading a little too much into nothing here!)
I could have done without Kurmila and her lottery really! For me she's evil and I don't need the comedic element of her being thrust in my face. Can not a lightning bolt come and hit her? Although it is enjoyable seeing her make a fool of herself in front of everyone.
Aaj mandir jaana bekhaar ho gaya! Wow Rashi! Ok so GoHem made it so that you and Jigar would be together for a little while, but it wasn't the sole reason for being there! Honestly get your head out of your ass Rashi!! The irony of her complaining to Gopi about the state of her relationship and the fact that she doesn't think that things will be sorted is amazing!! It took Gopi a year to get to the stage of talking to her husband without stuttering and him actually listening to her but Rashi wants everything to happen so quick!! Rashi doesn't even seem to think that this is Gopi I'm talking to - the girl who's relationship I did my best to ruin!!! Again get your head out of your ass!!
Gopi on the other hand is as usual all goodness and light!!
Rashi however is thinking that they need a big plan!! I might be being a bit dense here but how is everyone going on a picnic and the car breaking down ever going to help!! Even Gopi is using her brain these days - love the pragmatism she shows here!! Rashi is an idiot at times!!
Personally I don't see how going to see a movie helps but if it means GoHem get to go to the cinema too then I'm all for it!!
Getting permission is as ever going to be the biggest hurdle and poor Gopi is saddled with the task of convincing Koki!!
I'm going to put a little downer on Rashi's scenario of her and Jigar sitting together and eating popcorn!! The man has trouble saying two words to her, the whole family knows this too, so why does she think that Jigar will agree to sit next to her, never mind share with her!! The man has enough trouble sharing a room with her!! Rashi is living in a dreamworld!
Oh Gopi - CVs love highlighting how deprived her life has been, doesn't even know what popcorn is!! And how ideal a Modi vau is she!! Thrifty to the core! She'll make the popcorn at home and take it with her!! Although this idea is promptly discarded by Rashi who is more bothered about Gopi getting permission - and telling her that she has to do this for her!! Excuse me Rashi! You got yourself into this mess!!
As soon as she's left to her own devices though she rings her mum who is busy staring at her lottery tickets.
Ahem walks into the room as Gopi is sat staring into space. Ahem asks Gopi if she's seen his file. (Is it just me because I love seeing these little interactions between the two!!!) Gopi tells him where it is, he says thank you and she kinda half heartedly smiles at him. Our perceptive Ahem realises that there's something up and asks her what's up and what she's thinking. Gopi for some reason thinks Ahem is a mind reader and replies she's thinking about what Rashi was saying, Ahem then has to ask what that was. So Gopi tells about the cinema plan. Ahem is in thought and says hmm and that could be. Gopi then says that she doesn't think Koki would agree to this. Oh Ahem you don't know your mum at all!! He says that there shouldn't be a problem as they would all be going together (aww bless him!!) Gopi justifies her opinion saying that Koki is worried for Gopi's health and she does look after her a lot! Ahem says that's fine but I will be going too, to look after you!!! Lovely smile from Gopi here! Ahem says he'll tell mum about the trip and Gopi goes with him - aww can't bear to be away from her Ahemji!! - to be fair he is gorgeous so I don't blame her!!
So downstairs he says that they were thinking that everyone could go to the cinema this evening! Baa looks happy at this!! Kokila starts her little diatribe - the woman really has something against spur of the moment plans, I love the woman dearly but she obviously needs an itinerary set out for her to show her minute by minute plans of all the Modi's!! I'm beginning to think even Ahem's conception was meticulously planned!!
And Ahem nearly blew everythign by telling his mum about the whole plan! Honestly!! He covers up nicely although Kokila seems to have issues witht he fact that they're going to the cinema!! And holds up alternatives like the racecourse?? She's being such a snob too!! Never thought I'd say this but thankgod for Baa here!! It's been years since she's been to the cinema!! Does this mean Grandpa Modi used to take Baa?
Ahem says that if everyone is here so there's nothing to worry about and even Jigar is here for now so theyll look after the women (I'm paraphrasing here), so for her not to worry. But Kokila says how can they not worry as there are so many women and only 2 guys (way to emasculate the Modi boys!!) as Modi Dads won't be going. Koki nothing is going to happen!! Ahem counters this by saying they can come after the meeting too but Koki's not having this either!!
Now her excuse is that Gopi is still not well enough and puts Gopi on the spot!! Cunning!! She looks at Ahem for help but against Koki who can help!! Gopi says she is fine and has no worries - Koki is not happy!! Although Gopi does try and placate her by saying she'll do whatever Koki wants!
Koki tries to do a guilt trip by saying who am I to stop you!! Gopi and Ahem are a little upset at this! Baa comes to the rescue here, and Hetal backs them up too!! Koki is still adamant and says she doesn't want to go (A part of me here is saying good! Stay at home then and stew!! - Sorry Kristin!!)
Baa asserts her rights as the MIL and tells her that she has to come too! And tells Ahem to get the tickets. GoHem smile at each other, Jigar comes with his file and is told that they'd be getting the tickets on the way to the meeting!! Jigar questions which film, which obviously Ahem doesn't know as it's a last minute plan so he fobs off Jigar by saying he'll tell him in the car!! They'll pick the famalam up when they come back from the meeting! GoHem look at each other and give me a warm tingly feeling!!
I'm going to bypass the lottery!! I couldn't care less!!
Koki walks into the bedroom where Parag is sat on the bed and lemanting the fact he can't come to watch the film. Kokila is wondering what has happened to Ahem!! Well... at a guess I'm going to say you got him married and he fell in love! But Parag says that Ahem has always been stubborn it was her who used to tell him to put up and shut up!! Love Parag here!! he spoke up although you could see the fear after!! Kokila is proud of her upbringing!! But is now bothered about Goi spending too much time with Rashi - did she forget that she just sent Rashi to the mandir with Gopi? Or that she lets Rashi spend time with Gopi?
Oh Parag although I love that you're sticking up for Ahem you are so leaving yourself open for a scolding from Koki - and she doesn't disappoint!!
Baa is more eager than anyone else - and she wants to borrow lipstick because nani told her Koki had good colours!! This nani and baa spen too much time on the phone!!
Gopi in the kitchen making thepla's to take to the cinema, Hetal tells her that we'll just get something from there, and that you can't take outside food into the cinema (since when has that ever stopped anyone?) Hetal tells her to go get ready.
The doorbell rings and Gopi answers it, surprise surprise it's Ahem!! Does this boy even have a job anymore? GoHem are looking at each other, Gopi asks about Jigar who had something to do. Ahem gets out the tickets to give to Gopi and is explaining about them when Koki comes and overhears Ahem saying that they have to get RaJi sitting at the corner seats. Ahem comes inside and Gopi is still smiling!!
Koki is wondering what is going on and moves her pallu!! Danger alert!!
Gopi tells Rashi about the tickets and Rashi wants Jigar to sit at the corner so she can sit next to him - basically trapping him!!
The girls are hoping for the best!! Rashi tries ringing her mum again but to no avail.
At the cinema for some reason Ahem has changed out of his other suit, oh well at least he's not in brown. Gopi is wearing red and green! Koki is pering on GoHem who are slowly walking up, Ahem supportung Gopi, while holding up traffic!!
Rashi looks happy to be there and Jigar not so much. Baa talks about the last time she came when Jigar and Ahem were kids - so much for my theory about grandpa Modi!!
Rashi takes the lead and managaes to get shoved around by some guys which Jigar doesn't appreciate and goes to rescue her, no dishum dishum just very politely tells Rashi that they will all go in together and brings her back ok so he's a littel scowly! Gopi looks happy seeing this - I'm assuming she can't see the expression on Jigar's face.
So they go inside and Ahem tells Jigar and Rashi to go ahead with some excuse about it being better for Baa etc. Ahem's phone rings and it's the Modi dads who have also come!! Ahem tells them that he'll come out to them. He tells Gopi to sit and he'll be back. He drops his wallet so she heads off to give it to him - not before being questioned by Koki!
Rashi is happy to be sat by Jigar and tries to touch him but he ain't having none of it!! Rashi is left disappointed!!
Gopi manages to catch up to him and hand him his wallet!! Ahem asks for tickets in row H, Modi Dads also come there. Ahem gives them their tickets, while the man at the ticket counter says there are no tickets for that row. Chirag for once using his brain for good says that GoHem can sit together on the other row while they sit with the family. Gopi seems happy at this and so does Ahem even though they don't exactly show it much.
Chirag tells the family about the other seats and Rashi wishes that they had those seats, Jigar asks his dad about the meeting and Koki tells Rashi to switch with her FIL and brooks no argument. Poor Rashi!! All her hopes dashed!! Even gets told not to chew her gum!!
GoHem come in just as the lights are dimmed - I'm assuming that CVs want Gopi to nearly fall over? Ahem's bought popcorn and Gopi does have a little stumble which causes some of the popcorn to fall. Ahem is so sweet and tells her to walk carefully.
Koki can't see GoHem and is about to go for a search when Baa (who has been amazing today) stops her by saying she will disturb the people sat behind, and tells her to watch the film.
Rashi mutters about the plan failing.
GoHem however are sat together woohoo even if Gopi is talking about RaJi, she hopes everything goes well for them. Ahem looks gorgeous eating his popcorn!!
Love the difference shown between them and RaJi here!!
Gopi takes some popcorn and remarks that it looks like makhane (tahnk god they don't taste liek them!!) Ahem looks a bit shocked! Their hands meet in the popcorn - Rashi's scenario coming true for them here, lots of accidental touches which are obviously too much for Ahem to handle as he gives the popcorn to Gopi.
Koki still bothered about GoHem - Baa stirs the pot here by telling her that they would have got separate seats especially!!
And finally confirmation that Grandpa Modi used to bring Baa to the cinema!!! This Baa has no shame, she's happily regaling the family with memories about her dates!! And tells Jigar to go get snacks too, to which he replies that he'll go Jhanko! He asks everyone but Rashi but she's not backwards in coming forwards and offers to go with him, and Hetal sides with Rashi. Hetal feeling all romantic moves and sits next to her husband!!
And Koki turns and finally sees GoHem!
At the food stand Jigar gets the food, while Rashi is thinking of ways to get Jigar's attention. She sees a group of guys and decides to pretend that she feels uncomfortable so that Jigar will think about her. Jigar notices the guys and asks her if they did anything. She says they've been staring and for them to go. Jigar gives her the tray and takes her by the arm, after giving evils to the guys who are nonplussed as to why Jigar was scowling at him.
Ahem notices RaJi coming back in and points them ut to Gopi, we can see Koki looking back towards GoHem here!!
GoHem are happy that Jigar is supporting Rashi. Kokila however feels that Ahm is calling her and goes up to them.
Gopi tells Ahem that she's thirsty and he says he'll get her some water, he gets up and her pallu is caught in his sleeve. While untangling themselves Koki turns up and saya Ahem? He asks her what's wrong, to which she replies that he had called her. He says he didn't. Koki tells him to swap seats with her, to which he replies no (he's still tangled!!) He tells her to relax in her own seat as he's fine where he is and it wouldn't be right for them to sit here without a guy. Koki just stares at them!!!

Gopi is telling Ahem that his plan for RaJi seems to be working, Ahem is repsondng until they notice their stalker seems to have followed them!!!
I enjoyed today!! Not much Kurmila, but loads of GoHem!! Why they've decided to give them a stalker I don't know!!
