It had been nearly a month since they were married .. a marriage that was borne out of unexpected circumstances... a marriage that had become a necessity...

She kept staring at the cieling as the night grew darker with each passing minute.The thick blanket draped over her silky skin could not lull her to sleep eventhough her eyes demanded sleep.
slowly her big black eyes darted across the man sleeping soundly next to her. She smiled at him while running a hand through his hair.Feeling a soft touch over his skin..Arnav smiled back at her in his sleep.

It had been two hours since her fruitless efforts to allow herself fall into a subconscious state every human craves for at the end of tiring day. But everytime her mind was swept by the questions she had needed the answers since a long time. And there was no way she could have them so easily to ease her aching heart. Khushi pulled the blanket closer with one hand while Arnav unknowingly held her other one. It surprised Khushi how much Arnav needed her presence . Slowly she entangled his fingers with hers..and this time khushi's lips broke into a bigger smile..she cluthched his fingers tighter knowing in her heart she would never let them go except if death begs to..The thought of it made her shudder and she quickly put it way.

The clock struck 3. Khushi slowly unwrapped his fingers careful not to awaken him.She loved watching the calm ocean on his face , the fire she saw all day in his eyes seemed suppressed under those eyelids .A few hours later she would see it erupt again and onc again it would put her heart and mind to unrest.

Thinking over this , she stepped on the floor..her jet black hair cascading behind her. With a slow movement of her legs ,Khushi moved ahead until her eyes fell on the shimmering waters that lay in front of her.The pale moonlight washed over her face.. making her look like a goddess on earth. Except the noise of her thundering heart,the night lay in deathly silence.She sat down beside the pool. eyes fixated on gleaming wates dancing in the moonlight..while her legs found their way in the cold december waters.Khushi did not feel the chill of the night crawl over her skin.

Arnav was awakened by a noise weaker than silence. something was amiss. He rubbed his eyes slowly and his hand fell on the other side of the bed. It was empty.The first thought that gripped him was" where is khushi?" He waited for a few minutes expecting her to come back from the washroom.Where else could she be at this point of time. Fifteen minutes had passed by.

Arnav slowly got down the bed. His feet suddenly felt numb by the cold floor. arnav didnt bother to find his slippers..khushi was important right now.He cried out her name recieving only silence in reply.this time he was louder"Khuhi..were r u?"
still no reply..he paced faster towards the pool and surprised to find her there. Arnav fastened his steps till he was standing next to her.

He crouched down holding her shoulders tightly.

"Whats's wrong khushi? Y didnt u answer me back? Are u ok?.. Tell me khushi?"

a wave of confusion crept on her face and she asked him quietly...

"When did u wake up Arnav?" as another teardrop fell from her eye onto his hand...
