Arnav-Khushi: Character analysis

Ok, so, I don't usually do this kind of thing... 😆 But after I saw the number of people who hated Khushi today, I thought I just had to put up my own opinion on here!!! I won't comment on the rest of the episode as I haven't watched it yet. Just watched the ArHi scene on YouTube. And seeing it, I was left wondering, "Why did everyone hate the pace at which today's scene went?"

I think by now, we have all realized that ArHi have short term memory loss. E.G., the almost kiss scene. They came so close to each other, but did they remember anything the next day? No na? This should be expected! One minute Khushi is shaking with fright and the other, she's smiling and giving sangeet ideas like she's never been happier! So maybe I'm just getting used to seeing this kind of scene, but I had no problem with it.
Although, I must admit, I do have a few complaints with her character. Honestly, if I were ever to meet a girl like Khushi, I would run a mile away. Sometimes, at least for me, she passes the level of innocence and transforms into something just plain weird... I mean, the whole macchar hitting scene today... I admit, it was funny... but extremely silly also. And frankly speaking, most of us here are mature... And as far as I go, I am not able to relate to Khushi like I once used to.
Khushi, initially, used to be a character I truly admired. The way she stood up for herself in front of Arnav... I find that very few female characters on Indian Television are portrayed in such a way. She was ideal. Beauty with brains and innocence. And now...? Where has that all gone? Her "himmat" and righteousness has been replaced with ego... Something I hadn't expected to see. And then the innocence? mmm... bordering on the line of weirdness... As I said before, I, personally, would not want to be around her.
Some things I would like to see changed? Some more seriousness please! I have no problem whatsoever with comedy... but too much of anything can become boring... Have a tad bit of seriousness along with the comedy, and I'm sure this show would be appreciated much more! And Khushi. Believe it or not, there's a lot of depth in her character. Her parents passed away when she was young, her father is paralyzed, and her sister is getting married. I get it that she's the kind of girl who takes life in the positive light... but I'm sure, bhagwaan na kare, if someone was put into such a situation, they would show SOME emotion other than chirpiness... CV's, it's time that we started seeing that!
But to be perfectly fair, there are some changes that could be made to Arnav's character as well!!! For one, his dialogues are getting repetetive...
The most common words I hear from him are probably : Get out, shut-up, Khushi Kumari Gupta😳, and in some scenes, a forced "what the?"... Like Khushi, his character also has a lot of depth. 6 months into the story and we still know very little about his past. CV's, please start exploring this!
I love this show A LOT and have many expectations from it! I know ipkknd will definately do better...
But after saying all of this, I should say the good parts of ipkknd as well!
1. I like NK!😆 He's funny and cute and I really like his and Khushi's friendship!!!!😃
2. I love Arnav-Anjali bond and also Khushi-Payal bond. The perfect pairs of siblings!😳
3. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!! Hoping for another cute ArHi scene!!!! :D *fingers crossed*
Ps., I hope my post was not bashing! I really really love ipkknd despite the fact that it has its faults! but in the future, these are definately some changes that I would like to see being made!

Truly agree
i thought todays scene was kinda okayish but i feel like khushi cries all the time now :S
i like the funny scenes but i want some serious scenes too i want to see them actually talk about something without all the what the's and devi maiya. Its not too much to ask for
i agree they havent even shown much on their past and how it reflects their present.
i Agree with the post :)
will come back later to this post

I love this post, agree with so much of it! I said something similar yesterday, though it's all fun, heart lightning comedy -- they need that seriousness and subtance! Khushi needs to be quirky but have her mature antics from before back😳 and Arnav as you said needs more lines AND his jealousy needs to be a bit more potent and obvious if he is irked by NK 😆 .. I really WISH they start exploring Arnav's past soon - that at least can become a way of Khushi realising (again) what she feels for Arnav!

absolutely- agree- this is something I said in another post yesterday- that the character of Khushi should be shown with the maturity that was there in the earlier episodes which made us love her- with all her bubbly, chirpy nature she was shown as sensitive and capable of critical thinking- who would hit another person on the face to kill a mosquito- is that how stupid girls are expected to be in India? or immature- this is so unrealistic - even a kid would not do so. This has become a caricature of a character and the story line has gone down the drain. If the CVs want to show confrontation between the leads there is the marriage of Payal and Akash where there could be challenges for both and shown in an intelligent manner.

if the CVs have an agenda for showing growth later- sorry- they have lost the audience by then.

love Khushi- just want her to be shown in an appropriate manner- present centrury, intelligent, caring, sensitive and reflective thinking girl- they should also show internal conversation where they show her sensitivities, and not just anger and revenge- which is mindless and unconvincing.
