Rishi Diwan aka Rishi Kumar is an enigma to me. From whatever is show till date, it seems he knows Indiras brother Vineet. They might have met in the US, and must have been friends (Rahul being a common friend). Rishi was somehow responsible for something bad that happened to vineet. Hence he feels responsible for Vineets family. He comes with the pure intentions of helping the Sharma family but eventually falls for Indira. But while doing all this work,
what about his own personal life?
He is in Delhi but his family (mother & brother) do not know of it yet. He seals off a deal on behalf of Diwan builders but does not bother informing his brother who it seems runs the business in the first place. Sameer comes to know of the Sharma house deal from one of his employee. And surprisingly Rishi is comfortable sharing the news of his being in Delhi with this employee. The employee too obeys Rishi's orders without consulting with Sameer. Let alone Sameer, Rishi hasn't even informed his own mother of his whereabouts. Is it because he does not get along with his family? Also, Rishi has his own house, and in India that's not very usual, at least not when the guy is single & buys a house in the same city where his family is.
Also, don't you guys feel marrying someone for the sake of duty or for helping a friend is way beyond the call of ones duty? Add to it a 5Cr. + deal as well? Indira might say that they are getting married just to free Mandira, but that doesn't mean they are not married. How does she plan to deny that? You cannot just forget you married someone! After all it was a proper church marriage & if they got a marriage certificate, then it means it was registered as well. They need to get a divorce or annulment for that, but here again no one seems to want to break off that marriage either.
So, what does Mr. Kiraaydaar do for a living? Why has he kept away from his own family & girlfriend(???). And if he has a girlfriend here, how come he was in the US with Vineet? Now that he has bought the Sharma house, what does he plan to do with it? Sell it/ reconstruct it...then how is that different from what Jhumpa & Inder Sharma wanted? In both cases the Sharmas house will be sold!
I feel Rishi is a very cunning man. He always manipulates a situation in such a manner so that the result is always in his favour. Be it living on rent at the Sharmas place, be it marrying Indira (because he might already love her), convincing Indira to sign the house deal, etc.
Frankly speaking I am loving this character! He is among the very few men shown on TV who has some brains & who uses it. He might be cunning but I guess his heart is in the right place!
