What's so attractive about Ram anyway?| VB Note p.2

I'm not sure whether Ram's character in BALH has been created to be likable or not. If I were Ram's new wife and he treated me as indifferently and disrespectfully as he does Priya, I would not want to be is friend, let alone fall in love with him!!

He does not display any warmth in situations where he has an opportunity to (e.g. when Priya hugged him in the train scene in Australia) and chooses to be aloof and detached from all except for his precious family and friend Vikram. In addition, Ram has very poor manners, shouting and screaming at whomever he feels like whether it's his staff at the office, his cousin Daljeet or his wife at home.

From the moment Ram has married Priya, he has not even acknowledged that there may be more to their relationship than an arranged marriage as he always brings up the fact that there is nothing between them. His feeble attempt at friendship has even failed as he has not been true to the relationship of friendship with Priya by sharing the truth about Apeksha with her.

I think that Ram Kappor as an actor is fabulous and does an incredible job with each and every role that he plays, but Ram's character in BALH is portrayed to be self-centred and selfish, and almost heartless at times. If there is anything that will keep me watching BALH, it would be Ram Kapoor and Saakshi Tanwar as artists. I am certainly not impressed by the direction in which Ram's character has deteriorated into the larger than life, cold and unapproachable person, and would most definitely will not fall in love with someone so unlovable and unappealing as him.

😡 srry dont agree with u ramis quite a likeable character desp[ite his flaws he has a childlike innocence ,he ios a thorough gentleman i agrre he has flaws but i love his character with his p[ositives and negatives ,priya also certain negatioves ,we all have,plus real love which is nt falling ,it looks ata person weaknesses and strenghts as the way he or she is nt questioning it ,love is nt questioning,is accepting wholoeheartedly.

and plus he appears detached and unnerving due to what his past is and plus is in denial u are sayin abnt ram ,priya is also asserting compromise only and ram is a gud person who is adorable he is one of the sweetest chracters ,love raya ,equally

I think ur being overly critical about Rams charecter I think he is very likeable and pretty irritating at times that makes him a more realistic and believable charecter unlike the perfect ones!
Coming to ur complaint of him being indifferent to priya he has always taken care of her and her feelings barring this once during the apeksha episode. About the train hug he was taken by shock wen priya hugged him out of the blue that's y there was no response from ram.
Also he gifted her a ring, called an army of doctors wen priya had a slight fever them how can u say he is indifferent towards priya???
Also him taking time to understand the marriage it is bound to happen wen one has lived 40+ years of ones life alone it's difficult to change ur mindsets n attitudes which too ram has done to a very large extent!!
The biggest proof of ram caring for priya is the ashwin episode wen he stood by her n believed her despite having no proof of her innocence. He believed priya without any proof whereas he needed proof to trust his best friend of 20 years...wat more can one ask for??

it's a jai walia take off again, the poor guy is stereotyped at times in the show, not always. he did help priya's parents in the 'gifting' issue...

He is very caring toward Priya. He shows his caring in actions .he talked to dadi for some ceremony which Priyas nani wanted.While she was drunk he told her to keep quite in front of her parents so that they don't know she's drunk.during wedding he let Priya's father do things his way and brought his family there for sake of Priya. He delayed the barat for her.even to fix the wedding date he looked to her for confirmation. He always gives her respect.he does shout at her because he doesnt want Priya to ask about Apeksha so he is trying to be aloof with her. But he does feel guilty for shouting at her. He keeps to the study. Even tough he shouted that it's his room ,he calmly took her towel To put it away.

As you said Ram is an excellent actor and portrays his character very well. I agree that his character is bit sketchy and not yet likable especially if you are at the other end of that yelling and screaming match. But remember... his character is supposed to be this ruthless and Shrewd businessman. so for now, i think his character is on right track.
And Priya may be seeing his vulnerable and softer side thru all the events that took place such as respect for her parents, supporting her on her x relationship and so on...

i am sure slowly but surely, his character will turn into a lovable character that Priya and Ram's audience will come to love

His imperfections make him very realistic. I personally like Ram's character. Like some of the people above mentioned, he did take some large measures to adjust with Priya as well. I think the shouting and screaming just comes from the agony of his past. Let alone Priya, even his closest friend of years, Vikram, does not know about Apeksha. He is just sensitive about his past. Otherwise, his character has progressed to be very caring towards Priya.Quite lovable!!!

i am not agree i love both raya 7 rashi. raya is supab.
