the concept of a party in sharma niwas was definitely different & something abnormal for the sharmas... but once we saw everyone participating in the fancy dress and somewhat enjoying themselves (the role playing, the laughter, the staring going on between all the characters), the shadows of trouble were still there...

the biggest one i saw was the lingering question within munna's mind, his constant drinking (alright i get it that adults casually drink at any function - but munna was really showing just another bad trait by getting plastered in front of kids...) , and then the storm began to build.

the quietness by which Indira handled the jewelry situation and revealing the truth was really too smooth. no one argued, Rishi was effectively taught another lesson and reason as to why Indira follows her rules/ideals in strict nature, and the party continued on. but the switch of rage turned on fully within in Munna, expelling the calm before the storm; and despite his reasons, truly acted in horrible fashion. beating someone doesn't fix anything, i won't buy it that this was a one time-provoked thing since Munna is a victim of habit, and he had raised his hand to Indira.

with all these new characters added, all these things left to unravel (Vidit mystery, Rishi/Ricky mystery), a true sense of family still to be understood - the trials and tribulations of Indira will still continue. she will still need to live with conviction and with determined patience, and no person can change this journey for her ...

very good post... I beleive this shrma family is a good bunch of nonsense. No sense at all. No feelings for each other. Indu is doing a mission impossible here. Hope she continues to understand rishi n his efforts. Although, the thank u was a bit early.
