Which movies did you think had promising promos/trailers but the actual film failed to impress you?

Personally, I had a lot of hopes from the promos of "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan"- The actors: Imran, Kat & AliZ were quite promising as well, but I guess things didn't work out right. I disliked the whole funny thing. Because I felt the "funny" parts in the movie, were over done.

If you could change one thing about the storyline of a particular movie, what would that be and why?

Hawww! I'd change the ending of the movie Ghajini! I loved that movie way too much. Salutations to Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, for bringing such a great character Sanjay Singhania. The entire movie was developed very well. Each and every bit I say "I LOVED IT". But the end, I was not-so-happy. I didn't want Kalapana to die! I hated to see Sanjay all alone! So I'd definitely wish to see Kalpana alive.

According to you, the "best movie of 2011" title should go to which movie and why?

Undoubtedly, Bodyguard. Salman Khan has portrayed the character of Mr. Bodyguard amazingly. The movie has some comedy, romance and action thriller too. It has all the aspects a movie requires to be called a HIT. Everything was sketched really well. In fact, I'm not sure if the movie was a copy of Hollywood movie The Bodyguard. If it was or was not, I'm just saying the Hindi version of Bodyguard was outstanding! <3

If you had to change the cast of one movie, which movie would it be and who would cast?

Hmm. Now that's something interesting.

Okay let's take the movie Rockstar, I definitely liked the pairing of Ranbir and Nargis. They look amazing. But they couldn't beat the chemistry of Ranbir-Priyanka in the movie Anjaana-Anjaani. So If it could, then I wished Priyanka was casted opposite Ranbir in Rockstar <3 (no offence meant to Ranbir-Nargis fans :))

What are your views on movie sequels? Do you enjoy them? Which are some of the sequels that you are looking forward to?

Well, I'm not very much fond of sequels when it comes the Bollywood. I really don't know why. It seems as though the story is being dragged, rather than a new concept being introduced in the same storyline. But I was proven wrong with recent release Don 2. It was a brilliant movie.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to Dhoom 3, which I have no idea when it will come. I've loved the previous movies of Dhoom and now that Aamir Khan is to be part of the third, I'm definitely having my hands up for it.

Do you follow the "old is gold" saying and prefer old movies or do you enjoy today's Bollywood masala movies?

I can't give my opinion on that.

I'm on both sides. I've loved the old movies of Amitabh Bachan, Rishi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, Dilip Kumar and stuff. Those actors define "acting". No doubt, during the 90's actors like Aamir, SRK and Salman were brilliant too and today actors like Ranbir and Ranveer are amazing as well. I cannot compare these generations. They're totally different; all perfect at their own stands :)

Which actor and actress has evolved the most from the beginning of their career till now?

Kareena Kapoor has gone a long way. Since Refugee- of an innocent girl, to Mujse Dosti Karogi of an attitude-lovely girl, to Chameli, to the outspoken Geet of Jab We Met, to the desi girl in Tashan and finally landing in Ek Mein Aur Ek Tu. Kareena Kapoor has donned all different avatars an actor can portray. She is outstanding in all matters and one trait- she takes up all unique projects which take her to new heights of acting. She makes an amazing actress overall. <3

Name a few movies you really love but feel are underrated?

I don't think there's any as such.

Okay maybe, No One Killed Jessica. It was an AMAZING movie. It showed the reality of corruption in India, it pointed names to the judiciary of India and the government too. Of course, It was based on a reality check. This issue had really happened in India and the girl was denied justice. If ever anything as such was to happen in front of me, there was so effing way I'd shut up and mind my life. There's something called justice which still exists.

I loved the movie but I feel it was underrated in India because of government pressure since the movie was about revolting against the judiciary and against the Indian government.

And the Indian Ministers did not want to take any risk there :P We know why :P 😛

What's your take on remakes? Should they happen or not? Which remakes are you favourite/least favourite?

I'm not really interested in remakes. Cause it's just the same thing at the end of the day. Same story, different new actors portraying the same roles. I don't believe in remakes. It's just a waste of time and money, because people know what the ending is likely to be, then why not think of something more creative and make a movie out of it, rather than taking up a super hit movie and remake it for more money?

What genre of movies do you like the best?

I'm not so sure. I love romantic movies when it comes to Bollywood.

The best of which are Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, DDLJ, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun etc.

But I've also loved the political movies recently which point out how politics is really like. The best of these are: Rajneeti, Singham, Dabangg, No One Killed Jessica.

Lemme think...there were many, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, me and my friends were undoubtedly excited to see the film. And it was nothing so special. The cast was fab, but the concept wasn't so good, it was nothing like WoW as the name seems to be. The name is catchy but not the film

If you could change one thing about the storyline of a particular movie, what would that be and why?

Rajneeti, I didn't like the ending. It could have been a happy ending, I loved how they showed that a woman rose, but the end, I was not quite happy. I liked both the couples are heading good, but my tiny winy heart was hoping that they would end togther😆

According to you, the "best movie of 2011" title should go to which movie and why?

Two, Patiala House and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Or maybe I love Hrithik, and Katrina was there, but I like this kind of movies, it was really promising. I like films when they show something else as well other than only romance. Patial House for Example, I watched it a number of times, it's absolutely inspiring, and kahi na kahi, it touches the heart. And I loved Anushka. The story, the cast, and music, the main elements of a film were just too good. And same goes to ZNMD, that was a fresh concept.

If you had to change the cast of one movie, which movie would it be and who would cast?

Ah...Nargis in Rockstar, I loved and I guess after that I completely admire Ranbir for what he did. His acting came just natural. But as a pair with him, Nargis was not so good, I mean, of course she did a good job, but not actually they made something 'electrifying' what I say.

What are your views on movie sequels? Do you enjoy them? Which are some of the sequels that you are looking forward to?

I don't watch movie sequels often. So this too will add later :P

Hehe, I love olden ones and enjoy today's masala. And many a times, I get to watch some original movies and later find out that the recent one was tad bit copy. I love how the films have changed a bit throughout the years. Change in music style, storyline, choice over actors, I enjoy both :)

umm... Game... yeah people must have forgotten about it😆... the promos were quite intriguing... but then the film was not up to that expectation. I had thought it to be a suspense action but there was very kiddish suspense.

I really wanted to change the last part of Ra.One. I was kiddishly wanting Kareena to fall for G.One🤣 and I really want to see it as it now also...because I had fallen for G.One😆

umm...best movie...Bodyguard... of course...! I love SALMAN KHAN... and his so dreamy movies...so thats why...😳

No One Killed Jessica. I loved the way the movie is made. Perfect cast, perfect stuff. Plus, it generates that feeling of pride for the citizens who stand up for the right😃

I m not sure of this one. But i wanna say that if 2 states is made, i would LOVE to see imran khan as krish 😍 He suits perfectly well for the character! i mean he is perfectly like chetan has described Krish! 2 states.. cant wait for the movie RS 😍

Munnabhai.. i was looking forward for it.. but i doubt they gonna make the sequel😭
But, really speaking.. be it any film industry.. original movies are always better than sequels.

I cant say i have seen many old movies! i have hardly seen very old ones! but i have seen movies like kkhh, k3g, kal ho na ho.. and m a fan of them. Current movies are more about tamak jhamak and songs.. no storyline👎🏼

I feel modern film industry doesnt have good creative ppl.. why cant they think of their own stories?? Original movies are way better than remakes. The film is all set into people's heart.. a remake cant remove it so easily! then comparisons start.. so better be original

Oh undoubtedly Mangal Pandey!🤢 I thought it would be nice to see those old freedom fighter type of movie but seeriously I was so pakaoed after seeing it!🥱 It was so freaking boring that I almost killed myself! Only thing nice to see was Rani's dance on Tumhari Adhaaon pe mein wari wari!😆

I would love to change the storyline of Thank you! I wanted Akshay-Sonam but then it was Bobby-Sonam!😭 Akshay-Sonam made a great pair but stupid director!😡

No second thoughts! Surely Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Don2! They were such awesome movies! I can see them about a million times! Ahh Such awesome films! These two are the only films which were fun to watch!

I enjoy the old Salman-Saif-Shahrukh-Amir movies! Like Hum apke hai kaun, Kuch kuch hota hai, Kabhi khushi kabhi gham, Hum hai rahi pyaar ke, Qayamat se Qayamat tak and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. But I love new movies too! Like the old ones were great but the new ones are good too!😊

Well ,I was not able to catch many movies due studies ,but was really excited for Mausam and Mere Brother ki dulhan ,Apart from the acting of leads of respective movies the storyline was'nt up to the mark or say was not as expected though acting of Shahid&Sonam was commendable so as Imran,Katrina and Ali did fab work .

Hmm i think Love ka punchnama it really gave a bad image abt girls ,the character analyses of girls was quite unexpected,so i didnt like the way they showed it.

There are many movies i felt Faltu was nice though the storyline is something cant happen in real but the message they passed that even Faltu people can become something in life even when given chance let them do what they r interested in the other movie i liked was No one killed Jessica commendable acting by Rani mukherji and Vidya balan and story line was based on reality and gave good message too other movie was Zindagi Na milegi dobara what and movie the adventure trip to try something ur scared of wow and acting of all right from Hrithik to Abay 👏awesome movies😃

Hmmm thats something Diff,bt i guess Nargis-Ranbir pair wasnt as electrifying as Ranbir-Priyanka as they compliment each other so in Rockstar i would have casted Ranbir and Priyanka (No offence )

I guess it wud be Shahid kapoor (not bcoz i like him😛) the time he has come in with the chocolate boy in Ishq-vishq now a pilot in Mausam i think he has evolved a lot be it dancing or acting 😃

I feel orginality is best though remake like ready,wanted ,bodyguard hit the box office i feel comdey genre movies can be remade ,coming to least fav remke movie would be ghajini though Aamir khan did awesome job but still didnt work as original did.

First off, I've only watched a handful of movies this year. Anyway, I'm bored and for some weird reason, kinda like surveys 😛 so here goes...

Which movies did you think had promising promos/trailers but the actual film failed to impress you?

I have become immune to promos/trailers, so can't remember the last time something like that happened. But maybe Mausam.

If you could change one thing about the storyline of a particular movie, what would that be and why?

That girl in yellow boots.

The ending. Nuff said.

According to you, the "best movie of 2011" title should go to which movie and why?

No idea. Haven't watched enough movies. Maybe The Dirty Picture because I've heard very good things about it, but I haven't watched it, so dunno. I personally loved Rockstar though, even though I recognise that the film had its flaws.

If you had to change the cast of one movie, which movie would it be and who would cast?

Definitely Rockstar. I would cast somebody else instead of Nargis Fakhri. Not sure who though. I understand it would need to be somebody who can look young like a school girl, and has that frail feel to her. Maybe Kalki Koechlin? She could pass for a Kashmiri too, I think. And she definitely can act.

What are your views on movie sequels? Do you enjoy them? Which are some of the sequels that you are looking forward to?

Generally don't like them. They very rarely live up to the hype. But I am kinda looking forward to Ishqiya 2. And if at all there is a Munnabhai sequel starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi coming any time, I know I'll be excited to watch that.

Rest of the forhcoming sequels, um, I think the prequels were bad enough.

Do you follow the "old is gold" saying and prefer old movies or do you enjoy today's Bollywood masala movies?

Old is gold. Even old masala movies are brilliant! I still love Govinda's old films and can watch them again and again, and literally laugh out loud as I do so.

Today's movies, I try to only watch if I like the film-maker, or trust the actors' choice of films. That, and the low budget, almost B-Grade movies (more on this in the last question).

Which actor and actress has evolved the most from the beginning of their career till now?

I'm sure there are quite a few but the only one that comes to my mind right now is Ranbir Kapoor. Yeah, I'm a pucca Rockstar fan ⭐️

Nah, can't think of any at the mo. Sometimes I think alternative cinema doesn't get its due, but then they do get critical acclaim, so they can't be said to be underrated, yeah?

What's your take on remakes? Should they happen or not? Which remakes are you favourite/least favourite?

Remakes of bad films should be highly encouraged, but sadly nobody wants to take that route 😛

The classics should generally be left as is, because it usually backfires.

Nevertheless, I liked Farhan Akhtar's Don, and loved Dev D.

RGV ki Aag was an absolute disaster (but can be fun to watch if you have nothing to do and want to laugh at unintentional comedy).

What genre of movies do you like the best?

The life-changing kind, mostly alternative arty movies, that I can actually believe in and be moved by. Films that at least try to depict reality.

Then, there's the inspiring sort, that make me happy and hopeful, without being preachy. Like ZNMD.

I also like comedies, but not the slapstick, kick-in-the-groin, sexual-overtone types that seem to be the rage of the time. Stuff like Andaaz Apna Apna and Munnabhai, I like.

And strangely, I seem to have developed a fondness for small budget movies that nobody seems to know about, that are made with much sincerity and conviction, but that are nevertheless, sadly, pathetic. I'm mean, I laugh at them 😆 A recent one I watched was Vikalp. Dialogues were priceless. Oh and there's this one called Idiot box. The acting! Yeah, I said I'm mean 😛
