Bhabo good or bad

Hi all i have watched the show from day one and i have to say Bhabo is very lovable but i find her as a mother she is very poor judge of character in her own family she just hasnt got a clue what is going on under her own nose...she is very quick to judge others but never looks at her own...and as a MIL well she just fails...she is to quick to punishes with out thinking

Vikram has a saree shop how come no one looks at his books and now that the truth of meena has come out why hasnt Bhabo asked for the money back...

Chavi and Mohit are at school / collage doesn't one look at the report card on how well they did an what marks they got...

Meena lies with every word yet when somthing go wrong in the house meena is the first to put the knife in and Bhabo just listen and takes her word for it and lets her carry on with the masquerade in front of the neighbours who help stick the knife in...

Bhabos character should be made more sharper from know on as so many things have happened and she wasn't awere of them and this make her look realy bad in front of her family and the neighbourss

What do you all think about Bhabo??????

for all the kind of stuff that you mentioned, I once wrote in one of my responses for Bhabho that I feel she is an idiot. well that was my spontaneous feeling, as I started liking the show, i felt my comment hard upon other fellow show watchers. i empathized with the audience.. but once in a while, i keep on getting the same idiocy feelings about Bhabho, Sandhya and Suraj.

So can't really blame them. It is the story-writers who make them so. They started off with an implausible marriage between Suraj and Sandhya, an implausible excuse for a brother to betray his sister and still continuing the conventional norms of phone calls.. and many more implausible elements. In the name of drama, they stretch certain charateristic weaknesses in the lead characters. in comedy, if you stretch these items, it becomes caricature and a fun to watch and be critical without feeling pain, but since they are going on the tragedy style for the leads, so we will feel a lot over the tragic flaws within those three characters... and one of me feeling is getting angry seeing the pain for the leads for being so stupid and stubborn in their way of thinking. none of the three are flexible characters and are strong with the notions they have and sometimes it goes to ridiculous extent...

Hi All,

I wouldn't call Bhabho stupid... I think I see her colored by emotion... She is a typical mother who wants to keep together her family; She is overprotective and doesn't realize that she is obsessed with control and power over her family...

I agree to some of the points in the above posts at times Bhabho is made to look really silly on screen as her reactions are tooo farfetched and I have many times wanted to give her a shake to push her out of the trance she seems to go into quite often! But with all fairness I think her reactions are vital to the show as she is the one who controls the house and it is her emotions that Meena uses to play her games as well as others in the houshold.

As for Flexible Characters I still feel they are developing at a good pace, the whole concept of Diya aur Bathi Hum is that Sandya has to face her own and other people's reactions once she has overcome them then the characters will develop we hope and become flexible to the situations they find themselves in...If they all started to change before the truth was out we would have found it hard to believe and it really would be over before it even started...
