How to overcome stage fright
"I still get frightened on stage!" reveals Vagina Monologues actor Jayati Bhatia.
Jayati Bhatia imagines the audience as a wall to overcome stage fright
"But if you want nothing more in the world than to act, sing or dance in front of an audience, you will overcome stage fright in no time."
Here are her tips:
Imagine the audience to be a blank wall. It's easier to perform this way. You can also picture your closest family members or favourite celebrities sitting in the audience. It boosts your confidence.
Breathe normally and remain calm.
Prepare well to reduce anxiety.
Make your performance a thing of joy, not a trial.
Take an imaginary journey through your performance, from the beginning to the end.
