Today

After initial successes, his career went into a low, because of multiple dislocation of his shoulder joint, which he suffered while water skiing in Goa. Because of the pain on his shoulder, he couldn't work out or stay fit which caused him to gain weight and lose roles. Apparently, his last known film was Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa (2001), directed by David Dhawan, which failed to attract crowds. He has not acted in any film since Sarhad Paar which was shot in 2004 and released much later. It was stated that his comeback film was Maruthi Mera Dost, which turned out to be a cameo appearance. With no releases from prestigious production houses for years and no sign of the actor moving on to character roles or roles on television, it appears that he is no longer a part of Bollywood. - Wiki

Whaaat?!!
He was a talented actor. I loved his performance in Maachis, He and Tabu were outstanding. But I don't think he was ever cut out for making a big name in Bollywood. Not to mention lady luck...don't think she was too kind to him.

Chandrachur Singh if I remember right was suffering from a mental ailment few years back. Thats why he quit the scene completely. I recently read he is fine now is coming back with character roles.

I loved him in Kya Kehna. Could never understand why Preity's character didn't fall for him over that annoying character played by Saif ali.😡
