Ishwar made a parade through the living room as he tapped his phone in his hand and thinking of what he can do. Finally, he decided to call some. That someone was Devika. She picked up the call in first ring itself and asked, "Why haven't you been calling lately? How is everyone?"

He was quite for a second before he spoke, "He's in London." Devika was least worried about him. She said, "So? I want to know about my kids. Not that b******."

He continued, "And Geet is in London too." Now that shocked her and made her quiet. She got worried and said, "Please tell me they haven't come face to face."

Ishwar replied, "I'm sorry. Maan just called me to tell all this." She was worried and he could feel that. He replied, "Don't worry. I have told him to be around her and you know we can trust him. And I'll do something too. But it's him I don't trust."

Devika replied, "I don't know how I would have managed without you'. Thank you! You really are a true friend. After all that happened'"

Ishwar cut her off, "Let's not think about that right now. I can't bear hearing the same sad story over and over again." He was trying to lighten her mood. She chuckled and said, "Alright. Call me and keep informing me please."

"I will. Don't worry much."

Next morning, when Geet woke up, Maan was already up and preparing breakfast. Geet stood in horror as she watched the sight in front of her. Maan was rushing from one place to another and trying to make something. Only he knows what. The whole kitchen was a mess and tons of utensils in the sink. She yelled, "Maan! What is this?"

He looked up surprised at her yelling and replied, "Good morning Geet. And I'm making breakfast. See! Why are you yelling?"

She crossed her hands across her chest and she tapped her right feet waiting for Maan to look around. He narrowed his brows looking at this posture and then looking around to make sure she was looking at him only and not someone/something else. As he took a look around, his eyes got wide with shock as he realized why she was yelling.

He looked back at her to see her fuming face. He mumbled, "Maan, you're dead today!"

Geet replied, "You are. Hasn't Meera di told you to never mess with a girl's kitchen!"

Maan replied, "Hey, I was only trying to make breakfast for you."

She said sarcastically, "Aw! Thank you so much Maan." She walked closer to him scaring him. She then looked at the stove where he was frying something in a pan. She picked up a similar one that was cold from the plate and made a 'yuck' face. "Maan, care to explain what food item it is?"

He replied proudly, "It's paratha! It's just not in the right shape'" Geet gave a smile not wanting to hurt his confidence. She put it down and picked up the cup of coffee hoping that was at least made right. The minute she drank it, she felt like spitting it out but she gulped it down. It had no sugar and lot of coffee! How was a person supposed to drink that! Maan gave a hopeful smile waiting for the compliment. She forced herself to say, "It's awesome Maan. Uhh, I'll freshen up."

He smiled and she was eager to get out of there. He said, "But aren't you going to finish drinking the coffee?" she turned around and said, "Save it. I'll drink it later. Besides, it's still hot." She ran away and then came back to say, "You better clean up the whole kitchen before I'm back."

He saluted her as she turned and left. The minute she was in the room, she picked up the jug of water and drank straight from it not caring to pour it in the glass. She sat down placing the jug back in its position and took a deep breath.

Maan touched the coffee mug and touched the outside. It had cooled down. It had taken him quite a while to put all that in the dish washer and turn it on! He decided to take a sip. The moment it hit his tongue, he ran to the sink and spit it out. Washing his mouth, he said, "Yuck! This has no sugar at all!!" then he realized Geet lied to not want to upset him. He smiled at the thought.

Geet walked out of the room and her sweet fragrance filled the room. He smiled more and then went towards her with a mad look on. Once close to her, he said, "So you've learned how to lie huh?"

She fumbled, "Me? Lie? No!"

Maan said, "You're lying again now. Why did you say the coffee was nice when it's clearly not?"

Geet understood his anger and said, "Because I didn't want to see you sad. Besides, stop with your fake anger. I know you well." She went around him and prepared a worthy breakfast in just matter of minutes. Maan left shaking his head.

Geet opened the door after the third ring and four big, well-built men pushed her aside and walked in like they owned the place. They were carrying guns as well. Geet was shocked at their attire and then their action of walking in the house without a word!
