Brijraj -UV- Maanyata : Of POV and Emotions
Hey there,
Before I start off the post , I want to say that the character of Giriraj has been shown as one lucky man. He is a royal, he is a king and he is a gifted politician. But above all, he is superlucky to have got excellent children in UV ( Yeah, he is Udaybeer but I cannot call him UB 'coz that makes me think of United Colours of Benetton . Besides , UV and UB mean the same ) and Unnati. UV and Unnati are well-bred cultured and polished royals . They are loving and obedient children who will only make Giriraj proud. UV is grey because of his political ambitions but he is a great son and his father's pride. Unnati is any parent's dream daughter . What a queen-hearted lady. Is it any wonder that DS trusts and relies on UV-Unnzie more than she does on her blood? Giriraj maybe a sneak but he has brought up his kids very well.
Coming to the post now:
Brijraj & Maanyata
Once you have seen today's scene between Brijraj and Giri, what strikes you is that Brijraj's greatest problem with Maanyata is 'CONNECTION'. He cannot 'connect' with his long lost daughter because she is the antonym of what his ideal Maanyata might have been. A regal , proud and mighty man is failing to register this wildcat as his child. But that doesn't take away the dormant father in him. When she misbehaves and raises her voice at him, he feels hurt and humiliated , like any other parent. The very fact that he juxtaposed DS and himself with Maanyata and himself shows that he accepts her as his child but her ostrich-in-the-sand attitude and his wounded pride come in the way of the father and daughter equation.
Giri is taking advantage of Brijraj's wounded/insulted fatherly heart and his confused state. Yes, he is right when he tells him that Maanyata can only be won over by love but the way he is putting it is wrong and that screams ulterior motives. He is advising a vulnerable Brijraj to turn Maanyata into his puppet by the bait of fatherly love. For political gains and for complete control over her as the heiress.
Brijraj is in no state to think because Maanyata shocks him and his own pride stops him. So, maybe he will become Maanyata's 'Baba' and eventually graduating to be her 'Dad'. Maanyata is a child and blood ties have their calls. She may bond with him and maybe this relationship will become dense and one of Maanyata's strongest attachments. But one can only hope that this 'puppet' thing never crops up between them. And this father-daughter duo can find each-other.
In future , one can guess, that Maanyata and Brijraj will become really close and at that point , their relationship will receive a severe blow.
Brijraj is not a bad father. He is someone who needs a chance to become Maanyata's father. A chance that he has to take and a chance that Maanyata has to give. And Giri! Bete ko political machine banaa diya , woh kya kum hai jo abb Brijraj ka bhi band, baaja, baraat nikaalne aa gaye ho?
UV & Maanyata
UV has been brought up like a pragmatist , an opportunist , a gamechanger and every inch a monarch. He has been conditioned by Giriraj to be nothing more than a ruling machine. No feelings , no heart. Infact , such is your grey hero that even if he gets hurt in that blood pumping machine , it will take him ages to even register something called 'pain'. Giriraj started out with making his son an opportunistic unfeeling monarch but even he gets shocked at times when he sees his son is actually a compounded version of what he wanted. So, its no wonder that UV doesn't understand that how can a girl be unhappy when she has satin under her feet and a crown on her head. It doesn't register with him that how somebody with power , authority and riches can be unhappy. Why? Because that is his UPBRINGING and CONDITIONING. It upsets him to see Maanyata whine and crib all the time but he cannot feel her dilemma because he hasn't suffered pain of detachment. Reason? UV never allowed himself to get attached with anyone. Even with Unnati, when she gets over sentimental, UV runs away or turns her emotions into a whiff of dark humour.
UV didn't come to Maanyata's room to take jibes at her or play his evil smart self. He wanted brownie points but ended up getting angry and a tad hurt when she told him that she wants to be left alone. Maanyata hurts him and it hits him, but it never REGISTERS with him. The EVIL UV is still powerful and dominant over the GOOD UV.
As for Maanyata , well, she may or may not be in sync with this emerging reality but she is finding an ally , a confidante in UV. She screams at him, howls at him, abuses him, but at the same time cries in front of him, lets out her heart and her pain in front of him. He is the only one in the entire palace to whom she tells how she 'feels'. Because she knows that UV , no matter how much he teases her or flirts with her ' he doesn't judge her. She can say anything and he will listen. He is her 'Frenemy'. It's a very odd and puzzling equation but its real. How else do you explain someone like Maanyata requesting meekly to UV to not to fight with her and let her be? She let her guard down in front of him and let him see her vulnerable side. Yes, UV is a monster but Maanyata has begun to think that he is UV.
Just one complaint , Giriraj. You brought up an ideal son but you made him forget a very basic human faculty ' FEELING.
As for the rest of the episode, Aakash , Bhootni and Sicky make no sense to me. Sicky seems to be crushing on Aakash as she is always stuck to him like superglue. Another song wasted on chalk and wood. Maanyata's switching between Meena Kumari and Kareena Kapoor doesn't register with my normal human flow of emotions. DS and Unnati's scene got warped because it was more like a puzzle. Komal and Maanyata are still where they were on Day1. Jaanwar needs new lines and new expressions. The sister banter is for fun and holds no deeper meaning.
Enough said.
Toodles , babies!😉
Love and luck always,❤️
GOD bless everyone. 🤗
