Brijraj -UV- Maanyata : Of POV and Emotions

Hey there,

Before I start off the post , I want to say that the character of Giriraj has been shown as one lucky man. He is a royal, he is a king and he is a gifted politician. But above all, he is superlucky to have got excellent children in UV ( Yeah, he is Udaybeer but I cannot call him UB 'coz that makes me think of United Colours of Benetton . Besides , UV and UB mean the same ) and Unnati. UV and Unnati are well-bred cultured and polished royals . They are loving and obedient children who will only make Giriraj proud. UV is grey because of his political ambitions but he is a great son and his father's pride. Unnati is any parent's dream daughter . What a queen-hearted lady. Is it any wonder that DS trusts and relies on UV-Unnzie more than she does on her blood? Giriraj maybe a sneak but he has brought up his kids very well.

Coming to the post now:

Brijraj & Maanyata

Once you have seen today's scene between Brijraj and Giri, what strikes you is that Brijraj's greatest problem with Maanyata is 'CONNECTION'. He cannot 'connect' with his long lost daughter because she is the antonym of what his ideal Maanyata might have been. A regal , proud and mighty man is failing to register this wildcat as his child. But that doesn't take away the dormant father in him. When she misbehaves and raises her voice at him, he feels hurt and humiliated , like any other parent. The very fact that he juxtaposed DS and himself with Maanyata and himself shows that he accepts her as his child but her ostrich-in-the-sand attitude and his wounded pride come in the way of the father and daughter equation.

Giri is taking advantage of Brijraj's wounded/insulted fatherly heart and his confused state. Yes, he is right when he tells him that Maanyata can only be won over by love but the way he is putting it is wrong and that screams ulterior motives. He is advising a vulnerable Brijraj to turn Maanyata into his puppet by the bait of fatherly love. For political gains and for complete control over her as the heiress.

Brijraj is in no state to think because Maanyata shocks him and his own pride stops him. So, maybe he will become Maanyata's 'Baba' and eventually graduating to be her 'Dad'. Maanyata is a child and blood ties have their calls. She may bond with him and maybe this relationship will become dense and one of Maanyata's strongest attachments. But one can only hope that this 'puppet' thing never crops up between them. And this father-daughter duo can find each-other.

In future , one can guess, that Maanyata and Brijraj will become really close and at that point , their relationship will receive a severe blow.

Brijraj is not a bad father. He is someone who needs a chance to become Maanyata's father. A chance that he has to take and a chance that Maanyata has to give. And Giri! Bete ko political machine banaa diya , woh kya kum hai jo abb Brijraj ka bhi band, baaja, baraat nikaalne aa gaye ho?

UV & Maanyata

UV has been brought up like a pragmatist , an opportunist , a gamechanger and every inch a monarch. He has been conditioned by Giriraj to be nothing more than a ruling machine. No feelings , no heart. Infact , such is your grey hero that even if he gets hurt in that blood pumping machine , it will take him ages to even register something called 'pain'. Giriraj started out with making his son an opportunistic unfeeling monarch but even he gets shocked at times when he sees his son is actually a compounded version of what he wanted. So, its no wonder that UV doesn't understand that how can a girl be unhappy when she has satin under her feet and a crown on her head. It doesn't register with him that how somebody with power , authority and riches can be unhappy. Why? Because that is his UPBRINGING and CONDITIONING. It upsets him to see Maanyata whine and crib all the time but he cannot feel her dilemma because he hasn't suffered pain of detachment. Reason? UV never allowed himself to get attached with anyone. Even with Unnati, when she gets over sentimental, UV runs away or turns her emotions into a whiff of dark humour.

UV didn't come to Maanyata's room to take jibes at her or play his evil smart self. He wanted brownie points but ended up getting angry and a tad hurt when she told him that she wants to be left alone. Maanyata hurts him and it hits him, but it never REGISTERS with him. The EVIL UV is still powerful and dominant over the GOOD UV.

As for Maanyata , well, she may or may not be in sync with this emerging reality but she is finding an ally , a confidante in UV. She screams at him, howls at him, abuses him, but at the same time cries in front of him, lets out her heart and her pain in front of him. He is the only one in the entire palace to whom she tells how she 'feels'. Because she knows that UV , no matter how much he teases her or flirts with her ' he doesn't judge her. She can say anything and he will listen. He is her 'Frenemy'. It's a very odd and puzzling equation but its real. How else do you explain someone like Maanyata requesting meekly to UV to not to fight with her and let her be? She let her guard down in front of him and let him see her vulnerable side. Yes, UV is a monster but Maanyata has begun to think that he is UV.

Just one complaint , Giriraj. You brought up an ideal son but you made him forget a very basic human faculty ' FEELING.

As for the rest of the episode, Aakash , Bhootni and Sicky make no sense to me. Sicky seems to be crushing on Aakash as she is always stuck to him like superglue. Another song wasted on chalk and wood. Maanyata's switching between Meena Kumari and Kareena Kapoor doesn't register with my normal human flow of emotions. DS and Unnati's scene got warped because it was more like a puzzle. Komal and Maanyata are still where they were on Day1. Jaanwar needs new lines and new expressions. The sister banter is for fun and holds no deeper meaning.

Enough said.

Toodles , babies!😉

Love and luck always,❤️

GOD bless everyone. 🤗

Awww... POCO!!! 🤗 That was a brilliant post...but then all your posts are... I just made a topic on Brijraj and where he stands when I came across this one. Definately Giriraj is the best man behind the seats when it comes to politics and now I can see that UV gets it from his father and not only from Dadisa to be so deeply involved in the table turner games. He has the qualities of a Prince but still does not have the feelings to understand and feel the emotions of other human beings. This is the weakness of the future King, how will he be able to look after the people if he does not get the basic quality.
Unnzie is contrary to him, though sometimes I feel that she knows that her brother is compressing his feelings and is evil but lets it go since she has a faith or belief of some sort that overtime he will change. Brijraj though might need to be careful, he can not let people influence him so easily, Meneka acts in a similar way and Giriraj is taking it a level further. (BTW...I wonder where is that idiotic huby of Meneka?)
And the last point you made about the Frenemy is so true, she can not stand him yet she will only tell him everything. Komal has gotten a bit of insight as well but it never holds the same details.

very good analyzation.. i agree uday is confident, n doesnt know how to feel... but wen he sees manyata sad or upset, he encourages her to fight n not let her emotions get in the way .. im sure in the future, due to manyata he'll definitely change..!

Awesome points Pocu 👏👏👏
Brijraj loves his daughter and its evident from today's episode ..he looked concerned with the fact that Manyata is not able to adjust herself in this royal surrounding ...and a person feels concerned about someone only when he cares for that someone ...so its obvious that he cares for Manyata but is not able to connect with her as a father becuase of her different style of upbringing ...\
Coming to ManVeer scene,UV tried to act all cool with Manyata and wanted to play around with her as usual 😆 but seeing her all hurt ,I felt it did affect him somewhere and so he looked a bit frustated and directly asked her to accept all the luxuries and win the battle easily against everyone ..UV actually was honest today with his words for the first time and this is effect of Manyata on him 😉😳

Applause to you Poco! you always leave me in awe by your posts!

Totally agree with you as far as Brijraj Manyata is concerned. What Giriraj said today was absolutely correct. As they showed Manyata today feeling sad abt the fact that no one actually cares abt her, infact she feel ppl hate her, they are only interested in turning her into manyata from moniya. there is a NEED to make her feel loved, so tat she REALIZES tat she is indeed loved, then disciplining her will automatically fall into place. the thing manyata misses the most is the apna-pan, she feels like a stranger amongst her family. and of course eeth ka jawab pathar sey is not a solution to everything. you cannot fight the stubbornness, the rebel with punishments and scoldings. tats what dadisaab is trying to do, trying to maintain a correct balance i guess between love and discipline. what giriraj said was pure common sense. but as u said brijraj, still needs to get out of the shock of manyata not meeting his expectation of a Waris. so lets see wat steps he taked to bond with manyata, controlling his inner annoyance and letting to dominate the father in him.

UV hmmm. you know i always thought did UV and Unnati have a mother. i wud like to know tat bit. anyways. UV does have feelings, as u said in yest's post abt him feeling Dadisaab and Komal aunty's pain, there have been scenes showing hints of it viz his reaction post the news of his engagement with J or Moniya's scar haunting him, etc. but the thing is this guy has SUPPRESSED it deep inside. Politics and its ambitions i tell you o.O finally we saw Uday snapping today. UGH FINALLY. tats wat you wanted yest 😆 anyone would. and his dialogue where he said agar apney is ghar key niyam nahi maaney, toh aap akeli hi reh jayengi was the dialogue of the episode. and even better he leaves on his OWN this time 😆 leaving manyata pondering over his words. Yes i am loving it, how manyata opens up to uday almost voluntarily, they have found this connection amongst bantering and war of words, and somewhere have started to know each other. i repeat, just started 😆 long way to go. abt why uday snapped. i agree with your interpretation. he doesn't understand y is she rejecting the riches, as he said this thing to manyata before too, even he is losing patience somewhere. i have nothing more to add, u pretty much summed it all beautifully.

p.s. one more song wasted on akash moniya *sigh*

about this

above paras wowww...its just superrr awesummm...can only say that good UV will only be seen by manyata & will be taken out by manyata...that there relationship the way it is heading its so deep ...they r such behaving like perfect for each-other without coming to know about how much they r going to belong to each-other.

wah! wah! wah! AWESOME post, PC 👏 *hugs to you*

had me 🤣for the most part -

And Giri! Bete ko political machine banaa diya , woh kya kum hai jo abb Brijraj jab hi band, baaja, baraat nikaalne aa gaye ho?

^^ how true! 😆

Another song wasted on chalk and wood.

^ u said it! these 2 are so FLAT!

Maanyata's switching between Meena Kumari and Kareena Kapoor doesn't register with my normal human flow of emotions.

🤣 again true! but they have to make her emotional to make her 'connect' to the audience..😆 hail the CVs! 🤣 agar sach ka strong character dikha diya, so how will the 'usual' audience survive?! 😆

okay...now coming to the serious part...ManVeer relation is quite strange...i like the term u used - FrEnemy! its exactly that...she knows he's a one track mind (except not the usual track 😉 😆) but still she only confides in him...m thinking, somewhere Manyata will bring alive the 'feeling' part of UV, which has been dormant all this while (thanks to giri, as u said)..and no, i dun mean just 'love' but more than that..she'll make the machine into the human...as UV i think will tame this jungli billi to become a princess...just hope they dont go overboard with either of two makeovers!

ok and my manayta word of the day - 'ghamandini' 🤣 gosh, this female (dare i say!) is a riot!

loved ur post PC..

Thank you, Vish.😊...Giriraj has given all his talents to UV and he is taking them to heights...You are right. UV will make a great king but he needs to 'FEEL' in order to understand the people under him , so maybe that human quality will come to him from Maanyata. Brijraj doesn't need Giri , but DS instead. Meneka's hubby is a future track and he will show up.

ManVeer should be a classic case of 'can't live with each-other and can't live without each-other'. 😉
