MERE PAPA MAAN..

 

 

Maan looked at geet's retreating figure...

 

He felt his heart break.He knew he had done so much to her but ithna bada saza?

 

He was not ready for it.He wanted to  get them back.He wanted to wipe away all their tears..

 

He wanted to give them all the happiness in the world..

 

He wanted her to give him another chance..

 

Blinking back the tears he called out to her,"Ek minute Geet"

She walked away from him-away from his life..

 

It was hard for her to leave him and pretend as if she'd moved on..

 

But she had to do it-for herself,for her daughter..

 

She felt as if she was taking the road into the dark by leaving him..

 

The darkness which had been a part of her life for four years..

 

She wanted to be away from him..No matter how much pain it caused her-she will run away from him..

 

She didn't have the courage and a heart to be broken.

 

She tried to control her tears as she looked at the innocent face of her daughter sleeping in her arms..

 

She was about to reach the entrance when she heard him,"Ek minute Geet"

He ran towards her and said,"I'll drive u home!"

 

She was blank and said,"Why Maan sir?I survived without u fr the past 4 years and I can definitely find my home myself!"

 

It made his heart break yet he managed and replied,"please geet..ithni raat ho chuki hai..Lemme drop u"

 

She turned her face away.

 

He saighed and said,"Geet..please just one chance..I promise I wont hurt u both..Please Geet..All I need is a chance..one chance!"

Geet looked at him and found herself getting lost in those eyes..

 

There was love,pain,hurt and more than everything they were pleading to her..

 

She felt her heart melt but steadied herself and nodded her head and walked towards the car parking..

The whole drive was silent and Dia was sleeping on Geet the whole time.Maan couldn't help stealing glances at her now and then..

 

Finally they stopped infront of the huge mansion..

 

Geet was fascinated by it and slowly they entered the mansion..

Dadi,Dev,Naintara and dadi were having their dinner when Maan and Geet appeared in front with Dia.

 

Naintara was about to shove in a piece of paratha when she dropped it with shock.

 

She couldn't believe her eyes!!

 

Geet was standing in front of her!!!

 

Trying hard to prevent crying she managed to say,"Hi...please baitho!"

Geet laid Dia in the sofa outside the dining room and quietly sat beside Maan on the chair.

 

An awkward silence prevailed at the table.

 

Eachone was immersed in their own thoughts.

Finally Naintara broke the silence by saying,"Dev..mujhe nahi khana hai..baby ko bhuk nahi hai!"

 

"Acha ji!!U say this and starve my boy!"Dev replied caressing her bump.

 

"WHAT!!??"Naintara yelled.

 

"It'll be a girl!"she said.

 

"Boy!"Dev replied and they continued fighting until dadi yelled "bas keejiye!"

 

"sorry dadima!"they both said and dadi continued,"Geet's the guest here and so she'll give the verdict!"

 

Dev and Naintara were overjoyed and said to Geet,"Geet please let it be a boy1""Geet a girl!"

 

Geet said instantly,"U guys don't have to care whether it's a boy or a girl unless he/she has a father like Dev jiju!"and left the table silently leaving behind a hurt maan..

As the morning dawned,Geet rushed to the office(of course frm Maan's home)knowing that the boss was already there..

 

"babaji please..Don't let him fire me..Not today"she murmured and pulled Dia along with her and ran towards her cabin.

 

Once she reached the cabin,she told Dia"mama will be late as I've a meeting to attend..Be a good girl-okay?"and kissed her and ran to the conference room.

Dia checked out Geet's cabin..

 

There were papers,files and so many ledgers..

 

Getting bored she looked through the glass partition of Geet's cabin and her eyes widened in surprise!

 

Knowing what to do she slowly came out of the cabin and entered Maan's cabin..

Maan was working on a project.There was an important meeting and he knew that Adi would take care of it.

 

In the tension he failed to notice that Dia had entered the cabin!!

 

Moments later he found something or rather someone climb and sit on his lap..

 

When he looked at Dia,"AHH!"he screamed and so did Dia.

 

After calming down they both broke into peels of laughter..

 

Maan kissed Dia on the forehead and said,"Prankster!"

 

She giggled and asked,"I'm bored!"

 

Maan smiled and lifted her up and said,"Kya chahiye tumhe?"

 

She thought for sometime and said,"Coloring book!"

 

Maan immediately called the reception and and asked that he wanted a whole set of coloring bookas and crayons within 10 minutes.

Maan handed over the books to her and asked,"Ab kush?"

 

She smiled and kissed him again and sat on the sofa and started coloring..

 

She opened the first page and felt her heart tear-it was a picture of a father and daughter building sandcastles..

 

After pausing for a moment,Dia called out to Maan,"Papa..app mujhe chodkar kyun chale gaye?"
