My mom and I were talking about this after the show aired and we think that tho he is impotent the reason as to why he has a little girl is probably because they made the first wife forcibly sleep with another man to bring a baby into this house even tho her husband is impotent, all done to satisfy the media. So in all, the mother and Janki are probably trying to save this new bride from having to go through the turbulations that she had to go through when she got married because probably the father in law forced her to sleep with another man.
