Next Day (morning); Geet's house.
"Geet Maam,Mrs Savitridevi Khurana has come.She is asking for you."
"Dadima?Woh bhi itni subha subha" she thought,"i am coming right away.make her comfortable in dining hall."
Geet hurried downstairs.
"Dadima,aap yaha?"
"Bete,aaj hum aapko kuch dena chahte hai"
"Kya dadima?"
"Geet,i don't have words of thanking you.You have relieved Maan from one of his greatest miseries.No one except you can become Maan's wife.We have decided to get you two married as soon as possible.So i have brought our kaandani kangan for you.We will go to Mumbai today and talk to your parents."
These words were ringing in Geet's ears.She was very happy.But neither Maan nor herself had yet confessed their feelings to each other.So how can she accept the kangan?
"D-dadima, I-i cannot take it?"
"But why bete?" she asked with surprise.
"Because-"she couldn't continue further.
"Yes Geet,tell me"
But before she could speak,she heard a voice from the entrance.
"I will tell you Maam,why can't Geet accept this kangan"
Geet turned around and was shocked to see Sameera standing in front of her.
"Sameera,you here?"asked dadima with surprise.
"Maam,ask Geet whether she is really Maan's fiance or not!"
"What are you saying?"asked dadima,confused
"Chalo Geet,you only tell are you really Maan's fiance or he told you to fake it"
Geet did not move.Her hands ran cold.There was a shiver.
"What are you saying?aap hosh mein toh hai!" said dadima as she raised her voice
"Maam,i will tell you the truth.Maan asked Geet to be his fake fiance because she was at the spot when you had come.But Geet demanded a huge sum of money for this.She even threatened him that if he did not do so she will tell you everything.But Maam, Maan has no mistake in this because he didn't want to hurt you and you had already declared Geet as his fiance.He loves you Maam so he gave in to Geet's demands"
Dadima could believe what she heared
"Geet, what am i hearing about your acting as Maan's fiance.Tell me that it is not true Geet! because...yor are such a nice girl aur you can't hurt my feelings for money...Why are you so still?Tell me Geet!!"
Geet had never ever imagined in her wildest dreams that anyone could speak so cheap about her.She stood motionless.Before she could recover, Sameera spoke again,
"Why are you asking her?her silence gives all the answer.And you only see Maam,it has been two weeks since you came, yet Maan has not given her the engagement ring.It proves that he does not love her."
Turning towards Geet,dadima spoke ,"Geet,is it true?speak Geet!"
Finally Geet spoke,almost crying"Dadima it is true that we are not engaged but-"
But dadima was in no mood to listen.She was more sad than angry
"Stop Geet,i did not expect this from you.I wish to hear no more..."
"But dadima,please listen to me I-"
But dadima was in no mood to listen.Geet tried to many times to say but dadima would not listen.Silently,dadima left from there
"Aww...so sad Geet." said Samera as she smiled evily
"Why did you do this Sameera?you know it's not true!"
"So what!i told you to not come on my way,you did not listen to me,so i had to tell this"
"You will pay for this! when Maan comes to know he will-"
"Maan will do something only when he comes to know about it,and you won't tell him,right?"
"I will right now go and tell him abou you."
As she was about to leave,Sameera stopped her
"Soch lo,kahin aisa na ho ki tumhe bohot pachtana pade"
"Kyun?Aisa kya kar logi?"
"I can do anything Geet.if i leak this to the media then tum kisiko muh dikhane ke layak nahi rahogi.There will come an insult to your family.Your whole life and career will be disrupted.If you don't want this to happen,go away from here,leave KC and KM also.warna mein tumhara woh haal karungi ki tum soch bhi nahi sakti!"
"Sameera I will!-"she was very angry.
"Because of you Maan's name will be defamed aur iska asar Khurana Construction par padhega.So if you really wish good for Maan then leave just NOW!"
Sameera left.
Geet was crying bitterly.If Maan had really loved her,phir unhone ring kyun nahi pehnayi?Is this again an illusion like before?or she had really seen love for her in his eyes?
"I don't want to leave Maan...but i can't ruin his life."
She phoned her Dad,
"Dad,i am coming..." she disconnected the phone
At Khurana Construction-
"Wow man! it's so beautiful" exclaimed Meera,"Geet ko ring bohot pasand aayega!.Waise tum use propose kaise karoge?"
"Woh mein-"
The phone rang.Meera picked up.She looked tensed and shaken.
"Maan...bad news.Dadi has come to know about your fake fiance business"
"WHAT!" he was bewildered,"B-but it was going to be true!"
"It's too late Maan.Let's go isse pehle ki baat aur bigad jaye."
AtKhurana Mansion-
"Dadi,please listen to me!"
"I can't believe Maan that you lied to me and that girl!"
"Dadi,don't tell anything about Geet!i am the one who is responsible for this!"
"stop your drama right now Maan!i did not imagine that you would do anything of this kind.If there was no one in your life,you could have told me right away.yeh sab karne ki kya zarurat thi?"
She left in a huff.Maan was digusted.For the first time he was feeling helpless.He was thinking about Geet.How she was.
"Maan,calm down!" Meera tried to console him,"See,i will try to handle the situation here.You go to Geet.Don't know how did dadi know about this!.Anyways,you go,fast"
"Thik hai,Mein jata hoon."
He tried to call Geet but her cell was switched off.He was too late to confess his feelings.But he would find her wherever she was.Eight years go,when for the first time in the flight to London,her thought crossed his mind, he was perplexed but now he knew that without her,his life is incomplete.
"Maan, wait!"
"What the hell are you doing here, Sameera!"he glared at her angrily
"Geet has left the city.She had just used you to become successful and you fell in her trap.But I really love you Maan.Please forget her because she doesn't deserve you!"
"Just shut up! so,i see, it was you had told dadi all the wrong things about her.How dare you behave with Geet like this!" He was red with anger,"agar tumne kuch bhi utla-seedha kiya na,toh tum soch bhi nahi sakti iska anjaam kya hoga. Tell me,where is Geet.If I don't get her,you will be finished! "
"I-I don't know"
"Speak up!Damn it!"
"Don't waste your time speaking to her Maan" his Dad called out from behind,"If Geet is leaving the city,then right now she must be in the airport.Hurry up! you wiill be late!.The car is waiting outside.Go!Get her!"
"T-thanks Dad!" Maan tightly embraced his father.
"Geet is an angel Maan" said his dad,"You have forgiven me.My heart feels light,She is more precious than Pearl. "
On the other hand,Meera narrated to Dadi what all had happened between Maan and Geet right from their college days,how destiny had given one more chance to Geet to get her Maan and finally how Maan fell
for Geet.Dadi realized how she was mistaken and all of them together prayed that Maan gets his Geet soon!
"Dadi,If Destiny wants them together then who are we to interfere?when i see them together, i feel that they are made for each other.Maaneet compliment each other..."
