"Excuse me."
"Oh sorry" she said embarrassed and she bookmarked the page she was on. She looked at him, his chocolate brown eyes, and his deep brownish-blackish hair.
"Sorry to bother you, but I was looking for this book, and couldn't find it. So I thought if you could help me, find it you know." he said.
"Yes of course" getting up she lead the way as he followed her.
"So what is the name of the book and who is the author you are looking for?" she asked in an elegant tone as he told her the name of the author and the book. She looked for the book for some time.
"Ah, here it is" she said picking out the book from the different shelf. "Someone might have placed it there."
She smiled handing him the book. "Is this the book you wanted?" she questioned and he told her yes as they walked back to the counter. She checked the book out for him as he told her thanks.
"No problem any time." She said nicely.

"Samrat, why is your sister always in the library?" he asked.
"I don't know, why do you care if I don't?" Samrat said yawning after examining the book Mayank picked out.
"I don't care," Mayank said getting defensive. "I was just asking."
"Well don't ask, I told you billion times don't talk about Nupur, and she is not my sister. She is my step sister, who is a torture in my life." He exclaimed.
"Samrat you are so mean. What did she ever do to you?"
"Who cares? She doesn't need to do anything, because her mom did everything. And that is enough for me to hate her." Samrat turned away, getting irritated with this subject. And as for Mayank, he didn't want to bother him, because he knew there would be no way to make Samrat start liking his sister.
"So what is your plan for the summer?" Mayank asked.
"Beach, girls, movies, video games, and sleep. But mostly beach, because the girls." Samrat smiled at that thought.
Sighing Mayank left with his book as Samrat followed him in shocked.
"Mayank you aren't really going to read a book."
"Why can't I read a book again?"
"Because dude, it's pointless. Just blah, and plus you don't even like reading. Then why are you going to waste your time?" Samrat was confused on Mayank's sudden new behavior as much as Mayank was on Samrats.
"Are you doing this to impress Nupur?" This was a question Mayank too asked himself, he was completely clueless whether this was the reason or not.
"No." he said coldly. "Everyone has the right to change, yes before I didn't like reading, but now I want to try new things. And by the way, you shouldn't be talking. What happened to you Samrat? This is the Samrat that was my best friend; you are totally new Samrat that I don't even know."
It was true, Samrat had changed. From the first time they had met in fifth grade he was the class clown, always getting in trouble was his thing, but deep inside he was nice person that had incite Mayank to be his friend. True Mayank was a sort of guy who didn't get along with other people. He was a simple, and liked simple things and the reason why he became friends with Samrat was out of his mind. As time pass, he realized that Samrat wasn't as bad as he wants to appear like. In fact, he was the totally opposite inside, and it was a shame that no one but him realized that. But couple months back he started to hang out with the older kids, and even got into fights. Real fights. He would spend most of his time doing things that would get him in trouble, and that would make Mayank wonder maybe he did everything purposely so he could get in trouble. Even though Samrat changed, one thing never changed, and that was their friendship. Samrat would always tell Mayank to come join his friends, and would respect him even if he didn't.
"Geesh, what's the big idea? Why do you always bring subjects I don't like to talk about?" Samrat said annoyed with him.
Mayank just left. All he wanted was to make Samrat realize that what he was doing was wrong. To hang out with older kids who did everything but decent things was wrong. Thinking that he would support him doing all those things was wrong. Not caring about everything he did wrong was wrong. And most of all, being the way he was with Nupur was wrong. Mayank hated how Samrat would always never care about such things, and it always worried Mayank to see him like that. They were best friends for a long time, and to tell the truth he was the only true friend Mayank had ever had. It was true that Mayank had gone to the library only to see Nupur. He wondered why, because he cared less about any girl. All they would ever do is make him say good comments about their make-up or new dress they bought the day before. But on the contrary Nupur was not like that, she was simple. And he liked that very much. He didn't exactly know if she knew he existed, because every time he saw her, he would stand not saying a single word even though he really wanted to. What could he say to her? He knew he was not good with girls, and to make it worse she was the sister of his best friend. So he would see her pass by him, always alone hugging a book. Feeling like an idiot, he would curse himself, and promise that he would speak up the next time he saw her. But he never did.
