'TRUTH AND DARE'
Armaan smiled dreamily feeling a soft skin in between his palms. Imagining it to be the duvet he tried to hold it more tightly but a small shriek brought him back to the real world.And what his eyes saw next seemed as if his dream has come true.
Next to him Riddhima was lying down looking at him with strange expressions. He could notice her crimson cheeks due to the close proximity they were sharing right now. Before he could cherish the moment of seeing Riddhima's face as the first thing in his morning, a painful wave struck his brain.This sudden head-ache brought him back to reality and it was then he realized that he was not dreaming but actually Riddhima was there with him.
Riddhima stood up hastily arranging her saree and looked at Armaan reluctantly.Armaan was horrified realizing that he had actually squeezed Riddhima's waist instead of his soft silk mattress and guilt started building up inside him. He held his head with both hands and tried to press his temples to get relief from the pain inside his cranium. Having watched Armaan suffering from a headache, Riddhima rushed towards the kitchen and came back after ten minutes with a glass of lemonade in her hand.These ten minutes gave Armaan enough time to ponder about the last night events.
Armaan tried to recollect what happened last night. All he could remember was that he was drunk last night as he could think of no other means to make him forget all about his heartbreak for a while. He remembered coming back home with Rahul. Rahul n Muskaan thought to take out some time for themselves and decided to have some fun in a disco.To Armaan's luck,they found him in a completely drunk state. The couple was astonished to see their friend in such a state and brought him back home safely. They decided to get answers later from Armaan as his condition looked completely rotten.His eyes were bloodshot red which indicated that he has faced some major storm in his life this evening. It was Armaan's suggestion to let him go inside alone else they would have accompanied him inside as well. But what happened next??He didn't remember anything after getting inside the house.He tried to pressurize his brain but all he could recollect was some unclear images of him and Riddhima where she was trying to help him.
Armaan's chain of thoughts broke as a glass was placed infront of his eyes.
RI: Armaan plz have it.You'll feel better and it will help you get over with the hangover.
Armaan held the glass quietly and looked at Riddhima.
As soon as Riddhima's hands left the glass she moved in a swift manner to walk out of Armaan's room quickly but Armaan's voice stopped her.
She dreaded this moment. Closing her eyes she led a sigh and turned around..He drank the lemonade in one go and said..
AR: Riddhima I don't remember what happened last night.I was ugh ..I was ahem'
He licked his lips and looked down.It seemed as if a small boy of 5 years was confessing to his mom about a lie he told her.
Riddhima tried to suppress her giggle seeing Armaan so nervous.
AR: I was drunk.
RI: Yes I know..So???
AR: I ..I really don't know how to say this but if I've done or said anything wrong in that state I'm really sorry. I can't remember how you and I you know'hmmm..As far as I remember I bid you goodnight in the hall. How did you come in my room then?This morning you know'''I'm really sorry for that though. I thought it was my duvet'
After drinking the lemonade Armaan slightly recollected saying goodnight to Riddhima and this surprised him even more. What the hell actually happened???Why was everything soo confusing??
Riddhima who was enjoying Armaan's state till now felt flustered all of sudden. What should she tell him??
Armaan looked at Riddhima sharply and a display of hundreds of emotions on her face scared him.What if he misbehaved with her? They woke up in each others arms.What did this mean by then??? Did he get sooo drunk that he''''.
AR: Nooo..
His mind shouted along with his heart but then what was Riddhima doing in his bed'
Riddhima looked at Armaan and wished to get buried inside the earth right now.How was she going to tell him that she came in his room to check whether he was fine and landed up in his arms while admiring his face'
This was soo embarrassing. Armaan's gaze was still fixed on her and she felt her heart thudding rapidly against her chest.She was sure that he could listen her heartbeat.
AR: Riddhima please say something..
RI: Armaan who umm you were drunk last night and it seemed that I was the reason of your distress.I just wanted to see you once before before going to sleel and that's why I came inside your room.You ..you were '..
She paused and closed her eyes.
A sound made by shattering glass on the floor made her open her eyes and next she walked closer to Armaan.
RI: Armaan
She shouted.
RI: What is this??
She held his hand in hers which was covered with red smear right now.When she fixed her eyes with him the pain in them trembled her from inside.
RI: Armaan yeh tumne kya kiya?
She left his hand to bring in the first-aid box but Armaan sat on the bed and stared at the marbles beneath his feet.
Coming back she held his hand started cleaning the wound. Her eyes welled up seeing the deep wound made by the glass piece which was still embedded in his palm.Wiping off the tear that slipped on her cheek unknowingly, she examined the cut carefully.
She observed Armaan and found it quite strange to see his no reaction against the pain from his wound.
RI: Armaan I need to take this thing out.
Armaan simply nodded without looking at her.e could not take in the fact that he took advantage of Riddhima last night when she came into his room to check his well-being. How could he stoop so low???He felt disgusted'He would never be able to meet his eyes with hers now.
Ridz slowly took out the piece of glass from Armaan's hand in reaction to which he just closed his eyes.
She was scared seeing his immune nature to all this.
She started to dress up his wound but he took his hand away and stood up.
RI: Amaan what are you doing???How did that glass break??Look!!You have got a deep cut and I need to do the dressing right now else you can easily catch infection.
Armaan sulked even more as he realized that she still cared for him.
He walked to the window and slowly said-How can you Riddhima?
How can you be so good to me? After what I did last night, you should have abandoned me from your life forever. Instead you are concerned about this silly wound.. What about the hurt which I caused you last night??? I'm so sorry.I '''..
Riddhima was shocked.Her uncompleted sentence gave Armaan a different thought and he was feeling guilty about what he could not even imagine in the wildest of his dreams.
She took longer steps to occupy the space next to Armaan near the window of his room and held his wounded hand which had already shed a lot of blood.
RI: Don't you dare think about my Armaan like that??
Armaan was puzzled.He looked at Riddhima while she began dressing his palm.
RI: I threaten you Malik that if you ever thought that my Armaan could hurt me then I myself will cut your palm with a knife.
Armaan stared at Riddhima with a blank expression.
RI: Armaan jis cheez ke bare mein tum sapne mein bhi nahin soch sakte usey haqeeqat itni asaani se kaise maan liya.kal raat tumne kuch nahin kiya. Atleast you should have heard my full sentence.
Armaan opened his mouth to speak something but she kept her finger before his lips without touching them indicating him to shut up.
Continuing with the dressing,she said: Last night I removed your shoes and tried to make you lie down properly during which I fell upon you and the next moment you twisted your side grabbing me in your arms.I didn't try to wake you up and decided to remain like that only the whole night.It was not a big deal'So please stop getting so tensed.She covered up the whole truth, of loosing herself in his handsome face, beautifully.
RI: itna gussa acha nahin hota.aise koi karta hai kya ki apni narazgi door karne ke liye khud hi ko hurt kar le..Is is paining a lot???
Armaan looked at Riddhima bewildered.
Was she for real???She didn't mind being in his arms last night just for the sake of not disturbing his rest period..
RI: Armaan aise kya dekh rahe ho?
AR: Soch raha hoon ki kaisi ladki ho tum.You were concerned more about my slumber than your comfort. You are an Indian girl Riddhima yet you didn't mind being there with me in my bed.I'm sure that last night you could not sleep.
RI: Armaan it's not like that.I trust you and you are my friend.I was not uncomfortable at all.I
AR: Oh yes!! I can see that Miss Gupta how much you dozed off last night.the dark circles and red eyes clearly indicate how much comfortable you were last night with me..May I ask why didn't you just push me away and went to your room?
RI: I told you the reason..
AR: Really???
Armaan knew that something was there more to what Riddhima told him.He would have definitely said something which made her more thoughtful about him last night.But the last night pieces were like a jumble in his head.He could not make out what he actually did after coming back.
RI: Armaan why are you making a big issue of nothing?I told you na that I didn't mind so please forget it.
Armaan felt sorry for being a bit rude to her and then everything came back to him.Her confession to Rohan-the reason of his broken heart and his resolutions of staying away from Riddhima. He wondered why everytime God brought them closer when he tried to distant himself from Ridz.
AR: Riddhima I'm really sorry for my conduct last night.Because of me, you remained awake all the night..I don't know how to apologize for everything.
RI: Just shut up Armaan.One moment you call me your friend and the next minute you treat me like a stranger.
AR: Riddhima I was just..
RI: I was what Armaan?? I think that you have forgotten that you are also a human Armaan who can get hurt sometimes. Working in FBI has made you a tough guy but remember heart is made of muscles which are always soft.All what happened last night gave me an indication that someone has hurt you very badly. If I'm not wrong then it was the first time you drank in your life.Isn't it?
AR: Yes.It was my first time.I just could not take things that were disheartening me.
RI: So you thought to drown yourself in alcohol to ease your pain. Did you forget that you have got a friend at home with whom you can share all your worries? If I can share my sorrows with you then why can't you do the same?
AR: Riddhima trust me I didn't have any intention of hurting you or our friendship. I I don't know what made me drink last night. But I promise that was the first and last time.
RI: I don't believe you.
AR: Riddhima trust me please.I'm sorry to hurt you'.
RI: I can trust you only if you tell me what was wrong last evening. Why were you so upset?I can't see you like this Armaan.Today what you did by hurting your hand was also disappointing.It is clear indication of the rage building up inside you.Tell me what's wrong Armaan.Please..
Armaan was again put in a dilemma.How was he going to say that she was the reason of his happiness n sorrow. She was light of his life. Imagining a life without her had made him go crazy and he had ended up getting drunk.But what good excuse could he cook up right now.She was not going to take in a cock and bull tale.There has to be some reason-a very valid reason.He prayed God to save him before he ends up lying to her again which he hated the most in the world.He was a man who never spoke lies in his life.But he had to lie to Riddhima again and again which depressed him a lot.He was not going to tell her that he wished Rohan to disappear from Ridz's life forever when she herself had fallen for her fianc.Again,he could also not confess his feelings for her.Then what was he going to tell her?? His head starting aching as he thought deeply but that little flinch didn't go unnoticed by Riddhima.
RI: Armaan headache again.
He nodded.
RI: You didn't let me dress the wound at the right time na and you lost so much of blood along with this hangover,so this was bound to happen.Chalo ab rest karo.
AR: I think you are right.
He could not be more thankful to his stars for this headache right now..
RI: We will talk about this later.Right now you just take rest ok.
He nodded.
She then started cleaning up the blood spots from the floor while he pretended to sleep to avoid any more questions from her.
She looked at him after finishing her work and went to her room.His words had never left her mind. He had asked her to take care of Rohan and not him.This sentence of his was repalying in her mind again and again.What did Armaan mean by this?? She wished to know if she was somehow hurting him unintentionally. But this question has to wait for sometime now,she thought and sighed.

Armaan called upon a meeting in FBI and discussed with officers what Riddhima's lawyer Aditi had suggested.He told them how a statement of the members caught from the mafia gang can help them get Ridz a bail in the meeting called for the house arrest justification.It was just 3 days after now.They didn't have any more time.In three days either they have to get Vivek or they have to atleast use the three captured members of the gang to properly prove that Riddhima's house arrest justification was correct.
Armaan asked his team to also put cameras in bars of the red area of the city..He ordered them to put cameras in the gay bars as well.Vivek was a womaizer,Armaan knew.He could easily chose a gay bar for the meetings as it is the most unexpected place for FBI to thing.Moreover the meetings could also be done in an ordinary hotel in New York during the day time. So this time without any hole in the full proof plan, he got his eyes on all the hotels ,restaurants, discos and casinos starting from the small scales to the big ones.He didn't wish to leave any stone unturned in finding Vivek.
All his team-mates agreed to it and everyone went back to work.
In the meeting hall slowly people disappeared except Armaan,Rahul and Muskaan.
AR: Guys I think I said:-Back to work??
RM: We will Armaan.But first tell me what fault did I commit that you have stopped sharing your worries with me.
Armaan had a vague image of RM helping him last night in getting home.He wanted to vanish from that place right now.He didn't know how to answer.Rahul and Muskaan were of-course not innocent like Riddhima who would believe any of his cock-bull story.
AR: Rahul can we talk about this later please.Right now work is much more important..I need to get good evidences in Riddhima's favour.
RA: Oh really Officer Armaan Malik?? How long will you take? You have been postponing this talk since nine months now.After Amit's wedding we have lost the genuine smile of your face.After Riddhima's case came I thought that you are getting back to normal.May be her friendship was good for you.But last night proved me wrong.Your condition has grown worst.Tell me my fault Armaan.Why can't you trust me?What have I done that you hesitate to share your problems with me.
Rahul said disappointingly sitting on a chair and Muskaan placed a hand on his shoulder.
MU: oye khote seedhe seedhe bata na .Aisa kya hua jo tune kal sharab pi?Armaan Malik The officer toh kabhi apne rules nahin todta tha.So what happened last night to all your principles Armaan?
AR: Rahul-Muskaan Gus I'm also a human and I think I've all the freedon to drink being a grown up atleast once in my life.
R: How can you say it would be the only once.
AR: Because I've promised not to drink again.
M: Promise?lekin kisse?
Armaan looked away.He didn't wish to lie but he could also not speak the truth.
R: Armaan,I think Muski asked you something.
AR: Muskaan I promised myself.
M: But that promise you broke.Isn't it?So what's the guarantee you are are going to keep up this time?
Why was Muskaan making it so difficult?He was already heart-broken and now this explanation was getting on his nerves.Making Rahul feel unwanted in his life he felt rotten. He knew they both were concerned for him.But he being a man of good patience and strong walls surrounding his emotions cannot let them know that a girl was able to make him do so many things which he never did in his life before.
AR: Look Muski I'm not in one of my best moods today and nor was I the last night.Getting no success in this case was freaking me out because of which I just went to the bar and God knows what was in my head that it made me drink.I'm sorry and trust me I won't repeat it again.
R: Armaan you are old enough to drink.We don't have a problem with your drinking basically.We want to know the real reason of your distress.Don't talk shit to me that the case made you drink.I could see a deep pain in your eyes which seemed enough to destroy you.Last night you scared both of us.The only thing you mentioned with a smile last night was Riddhima's mane when we said that we'll take you home.
MU: haan Armaan.You were so happy after hearing that you are going back to Riddhima .But soon thereafter a deep wave of shock and pain came back and you said you should stay away from her.That was all you said last night.
R: Will you care to explain what was all that about?
AR: Rahul When you said home I had thought about my real home and mom-dad came into picture.Riddhima's name came out as a mistake and when realized I said Riddhima instead of mom-dad I was quite shocked.I missed mom and that's why I must have said that I should stay away from Ridz.Why are you guys making a big issue out of nothing?Rahul you and Atul bhai have been my best buddies.I would definitely tell you if there would be really a problem.I'm all fine you see.
MU: Armaan tu sach keh raha hai na
AR : Haan Muski.
He gave her a side-hug.
MU: hum toh dar hi gaye they.chalo acha hai ki kuch serious nahin hai.
Armaan smiled and so did Rahul at his innocent wife.
AR: Muski ab back to work plz..
MU: Ja rahi hoon Hitler kahin ka
Armaan n Rahul giggled as she went back huffing in irritation.
RA: You can fool her but not me.It's ok Armaan.I hope a day will come when you'll tell me what is really your problem.I just can't see you hurt.
Armaan hugged Rahul; That's why you are the best man.I hope that day never comes and I may overcome my worries very soon.
Rahul :We all love you.You know that right..
Armaan nodded his head.
RA: Did Riddhima say anything about your state last night?
AR: She was also worried for me and this morning also she took great care of my hangover.
RA: She is a nice girl and a good friend for you.
AR: Yes she is wonderful.
Armaan said dreamily thinking about the position he found himself and Riddhima in the early morning.
Rahul noticed the smile on Armaan's face and suddenly he knew that last night incident and Armaan's worries had some connection to Riddhima .Now all he had to notice Armaan and Riddhima when they were together.

Everyone I the FBI was now working like a machine.Officers were monitoring all the videos carefully. Some teams of officers were asking about Vivek in some hotels and other expected places. Break-a word seemed to vanish from FBI for today and expectantly for the next 2 days before the meeting takes place.

Riddhima was sitting in the hall infront of the television watching another movie of SRK-Veer Zaara.It was a such a wonderful movie where Veer spent so may youthful years of his life in jail to let Zara live a happy life.She wondered if anyone could love someone soo much in real life too.What she didn't know was that like the movie there was man who has been praying for her welfare and happiness since the past eight months without her knowledge at all while he himself was burning in the distance between them.
Eventhough she had seen the movie 50 times before but today she didn't find herself engrossed in the movie or SRK.Infact today she was interested in thinking about the love shown in the movie between Veer and Zaara much more.She was quite upset with the fact that Armaan went to FBI wihtout informing her.He went away like this for the first time.She was actually worried for him and she needed an answer.What freaked her more was her restlessness towards Armaan's absence as well as ignorance.She was missing Armaan. She could still feel the kiss he planted on her neck last night.The touch of his hands on her waist still lingered upon her senses..She missed the secure feeling that she always finds in his arms.She had thought to keep a distance from Armaan.Now when he himself had started to ignore her,why did she feel bad.She meant nothing to him apart from another friend. She was not his girlfriend neither his wife to whom he was obliged to answer before leaving.But the fact that he always said bid her goodbye which she missed today made her feel worse.She was scared if this ignorance was connected to the last night incident.She hoped that he didn't feel anything wrong about her.She didn't want to let him think negative about her.It was not good for a girl to enter in drunk man's room.But she dared to do it.did this act of hers made him feel a bit repellant towards her..Her heart and brain bith said No.
This can't be a reason.she knew that Armaan atleast understood her quite well,may be much more than she herself did.Many a times he was able to read her mind which always left her admiring him and their friendship.She scratched her brain to find a good excuse for Armaan to leave so abruptly.She didn't wish to think that he deliberately ignored him.She consoled herself imagining that he must have got an emergency call and left in a haste...What frightened her was her frustration regarding this matter.She was actually feeling bad just because Armaan didn't say her good-bye.She liked him-no doubt.But the way she behaved right now was not a proper one.She felt that she sounded worried like a wife.True,she was also worried for Armaan and wondered if he was ok.The deep pain which she saw in Armaan's eyes last night had shook her nerves.And his words made her feel that she was the reason of his drunk state.All this had made her go crazy literally. She was so engrossed in thinking that a head-ache slipped in and suddenly she felt the need to rest her mind for a while.Sudden;y,she got the answer of Armaan's ignorance.He was running away from her question.He didn't want to tell her why he said those lines to her.She lied down and made sure that she would make Armaan speak up with an answer as soon as he returns home.

In the interrogation room
Armaan and Rahul were asking various questions about Vivek from the lady and the other two men who have been caught. Armaan asked about the places,hotels and restaurants where Vivek loves to go.He got to know a few namesof random discos ,some of which lied in the red alert area of the city.
Rahul signalled Armaan to go forward and ask them the most important question.
AR: Is Riddhima Gupta a member of your gang.
The lady looked at the other two men who shrugged off their shoulders indicating that they didn't know whether to say Yes or No.
RAHUL: Don't you dare lie to me.The consequences are known to you.
He glared at her and she gulped seeing the rising temper of Armaan Malik.She was very well aware of the third degree torture in FBI to make a convict speak the truth. She ofcourse didn't wish to go through them.
LADY: No,she is not a member of our gang.She was used by Vivek to escape FBI.
Armaan and Rahul looked at each other and smiled.
Thereafter they left the room.
AR: Finally she spoke the truth.I'm glad she didn't lie.
RA: Yes.So all set for tomorrow's meeting.
AR: hmm.I hope this statement would be enough to give Riddhima a bail.
RA: Best of luck for tomorrow dude.It's a big day for Riddhima.
AR: Thanks.
Later in the evening Rohan along with Riddhima's lawyer Aditi came to meet him and he was extremely happy to know that the lady from mafia gang gave her statement in support of Riddhima.
RO: I'm so happy Armaan.I hope tomorrow Riddhima would get a breath of freedom.
AR: But that will be temporary.We need more evidences to prove her innocent.
Rohan: I'm sure Armaan that you'll do that as well.It's really great that you are Riddhima's investigating officeer.I have full faith on you.And yes since Riddhima and you have become good friends,I guess we should also shake our hands to star our new friendship.
AR: Ofcourse.
They both shaked hands but Rohan moved forward and hugged Armaan.
RO: Thanks a lot for everything Armaan.You are a wonderful person.
AR: And so are you Rohan. Riddhima is very lucky to have you as her fiance-soon to be her life-partner.
RO: Ahan!! I'm lucky enough to have an angel like her in my life as my love.She is my life, Armaan. I love her a lot.
Armaan felt a pang in his heart realizing that tomorrow onwards Riddhima would not stay with him hopefully.He should be happy for her but he was not.The pain of separation from her was much more than the happiness of her freedom.
Rohan therafter bid goodbye and went away leaving a sulking Armaan behind.

Riddhima: You are back..
AR: hmm.
RI: How was your day?
AR: It was fine.Tomorrow is your hearing.I hope you may get a bail tomorrow.
RI: Sach Armaan.Did u get vivek?
AR: No but we have a few evidences in your favour which might definitely help you get the bail.
RI: wow! Armaan I'm sooo happy.Thnk you so much for it.You please get fresh while I'll set the table for dinner.
Armaan went to his room while Riddhima started serving the dishes.
She was happy with the news of her bail but she didn't know why she didn't feel as much enthusiastic and happy as she must be.She wondered what was wrong with her.
Armaan came back to the hall and marched towards dining table.His gaze was fixed at Riddhima. She looked ravishing in her lavender saree.He wondered how we would feel from tomorrow.He has become quite used to her extraordinary cooking skills,her beautiful smile and her melodious voice .He simply loved her presence around him.
RI: Armaan aise kya dekh rahe ho.
AR: sorry who main kuch raha tha.
RI: Dinner karein?
AR: hmm.
Armaan and Riddhima started eating the food.They both stealed glances towards each other while eating.
Riddhima was engrossed in finding out why she was not as much as happy as she should be while Armaan was thinking about her absence from his life tomorrow onwards.He was working day and night to remove the accusation upon Riddhima.But the result of this diligent work of his would drift away Riddhima from him.He wished to see her free and get back all the respect and recognition that she and her family has lost.But at the same time he wanted her in life desperately.He questioned God once again that why was this happening to him?Why on earth did he fall in love if she was never meant to become his.
Both completed the dinner lost in their own thoughts and went to bed without much talking.

Next day
Armaan was in the room with five people sitting at the other side of the table.They were going through the proofs collected by Armaan. They seemed to be quite convinced with the house arrest decision taken by Armaan since Riddhima had no previous criminal records and her finger prints were also missing from the drug packet.
Atlast the lady from the gang was called and was asked by the judging committee if Riddhima belonged to their gang or not.
To Armaan's astonishment she said yes.
Armaan's eyes widened and he looked at the lady in complete surprise'
One of the judges from the panel asked Armaan a justification in response to the lady's answer.
AR: Sir you have yourself heard the recording.Right now she is lying.
LADY: Sir Officer Armaan Malik got that statement out of my mouth by holding me at gunpoint.
Armaan : Sir please give me a minute and I'll prove that this woman is lying.
He went outside and brought in the CD after taking It from Rahul.
He played the CD on DVD player where it clearly showed that the lady was speaking a lie.
A member of the judging committee spoke: After going through all the evidences we decide to give a bail to Miss Riddhima Gupta.
Armaan smiled and the meeting was over.
He came back to his cabin to find Riddhima,Rohan,Aditi,Abhi,Niki,Atul,Anjali,Muskaan and Rahul eagerly waiting for him.
He put up a serious face.
RO: Armaan what happened? Why do you look so upset?
AR: hmm Rohan woo
RI: Armaan can you please cut in the suspense and tell us what exactly happened inside.
Armaan grinned seeing Riddhima so anxious .

He paused.
ANJALI: Armaan I swear if you don't complete the sentence right now,I'll kill you.
AR: Relax bhabhi.Riddhima has been granted a bail.
AN: Really.
RO; Wow.I'm soo happy Ridzy.
He hugged her and so did she.
Armaan grimaced in pain seeing them so close to each other.Rahul and Atul looked at Armaan who didn't look very happy right now.Just a minute before he was fine but all that calmness vanished the second Rohan hugged Riddhima.
Atul and Rahul looked at each other meaningfully.
Riddhima came out of the hug and was engulfed in a bear hug by her di.Next she hugged Atul.
Abhi,Niki,Muski and Rahul were happy for her.
Next she stood infront of Armaan and then hugged him tightly placing her head on his chest and her hands on his back.Armaan was a bit startled but soon he responded back by pacing his hands around her back above her blouse.He buried his head in his neck and whispered slowly in her ears: finally we have done itRriddhima.The day is not far when you will be out from here completely.Remember you can't leave New York ok.
After saying that he closed his eyes enjoying the serene feeling of her embrace.Atul and Rahul didn't notice the soothing expressions on Armaan's face in Riddhima's embrace.Riddhima ,on the other hand, felt secure and complete in Armaan's arms.Both of them didn't want to come out of the hug but they had to as others were present. Slowly they came out of the hug and looked into each others eyes. Their eye-lock broke when Anjali patted Riddhima's shoulders saying: Ridzy ab tum na hamare saath rahogi Malik house mein.
RI: par di main kaise I mean.
AN: kyun who mera ghar hai aur tum meri behen isliye ab tum wahin rahogi.
A smile played upon Armaan's lips as he thought about Riddhima staying at his home which meant he could see her daily.But the smile soon disappeared after he heard Rohan's words.
RO: Anjali di that is not going to happen.A surprise is waiting for Riddhima outside.
RI: Surprise what kind of surprise?
RO: To know that you have to accompany me along to outside of this office.
Rohan grabbed her hand and took her outside of FBI.
They were followed by the rest as they all were eager to see what Rohan's surprise meant by.
Everyone came outside FBI and Riddhima screamed as soon as she say her parents standing near a cab.
She ran to them and hugged them with moist eyes.
SHASHANK: kaisi hai meri beti?
RI: theek hoon papa.I'm sorry meri wajah se aaplogon ki kitni badnami hui
PA: aisa nahin kehte bacha hum jante hain tum begunah ho aur ek din yeh duniya bhi tumhari sachayi par yaqeen karegi.
RI: I hope so mamma.
Anjali stood transfixed.She was seeing her parents after a good long time.Her eyes welled up and she felt Atul's arms around her shoulder.
Rohan walked upto Riddhima.
RO: So how was the surprise.
RI: Rohan it was your idea.I just don't know how to thank you.Thanks a lot for it.Mom dad how long are you guys here now?
SH: Bacha we are here now till this case gets solved.
RI: Papa but Sanjeevani.
SH: don't worry.I've taken care of everything.Now we are with you here.
He then looked at the group of people standing at the FBI gate.
He moved towards them and stood infront of Armaan.
SH: Thank You so much for everything Mr. Armaan.
AR: Please sir call me Armaan and I've just performed by duty.Riddhima is innocent and I'll prove that very soon.
SH: It's really kind of you Armaan.You believed my daughter in the first place.That means a lot for us.
AR: Please don't embarrass me anymore sir.Now that you are heer I'm sure Riddhima is extremely happy..
Shashank looked at Anjali and then at Padma.He saw the pain in his wife's eyes and longing for her daughter.Anjali also looked at Padma.
RI: Papa it has been man years.Please forget everything and accept di back into our lives. She was in love papa.Atul jeeju is one of the finest person I have ever met.Armaan's family treats di like a daughter.Please forget the past.
She requested.Shashank sighed.
Anjali was his darling ambitious daughter.She was career oriented woman.He didn't expect her to fall in love so easily. But then she also is a girl at the end.a little bit of love and care would have melted her heart.He looked at her and then looked at his wife once again.He didn't miss the pleading look in his eyes.He could see that his daughter was really happy with Atul.It was enough now.He could remain angry from his daughter all his life.Riddhima and anjali were the apple of his eyes.He can't be so rude.If his daughter is happy with Atul then he shuould also be happy for her.and then he made the decision to forgive Anjali..
He went to Atul and placed a hand over his head.
SH: I'm sorry.at that moment I could not look anything above my ego.But I see that you have taken good care of my daughter.Anjali beta please come to your papa.
Anjali cried and hugged Shashank. Soon their was a family hug.
MU: Such a cute family na Rahul.
RA: Hmm.
Armaan smiled seeing his bhai and bhabhi happy and being accepted finally.
RI: Ok enough of his rona dhona now.Gosh it's a road .mom you know di is expecting.
PA: Sach OMG!! I just can't believe my anjali has grown so old that she is going to become a mother.i'm so happy beta.Congratulations.
She hugged her daughter once. Thereafter Atul,Anjali,Shanky,Padma,Rohan left.
Riddhima went away with Armaan to their home to get her belongings.

Armaan and Riddhima walk inside the house.
AR: Riddhima according to the rules you can't take all your belongings with you. They will remain with FBI till the case gets solved.All you can take away is this camera and album.
He handles those things to her and Riddhima nods her head understandingly.
AR: So finally you are going from here.I wish you may not see this house again and I may solve this case very soon.
RI: I hope you will do it Armaan.I have full faith in you.
Riddhima felt her heart sinking as they made their way towards the exit.
RI: I'm sure your mom must be extremely happy today as her beloved son will now live with her.
AR: I guess you are right.
They looked around not letting their eyes meet even once. Both had just one thing is mind-Things are not going to remain the same anymore. They knew that they'll miss each other very badly. They have got used to of each other very much in the past two months.
AR: Let's go now..
RI: hmm.
They came out of the house and Armaan locked the house.
Riddhima looked at the four officers who had done day and night duty for her. She walked upto them and said; Thank You so much. I have given you all really a hard time these many days.
Officers: Not at all Ma'am.We were doing our duty.You are a nice person.All the best for your life.
After that brief interaction with the officers, Armaan and Riddhima sat in the car and zoomed off.Riddhima could not imagine that she was sitting in Armaan's own Ferrari.She just loved everything about this car. Armaan was stealing glances at Riddhima while she was busy admiring the features on the luxurious vehicle..Armaan felt a deep pain inside his heart but he thought that he had hoped it coming.So why to shed tears now.He was happy being single without any love in his life and he decided to go back to his old days because the more he thought of Riddhima,the more his heart ached for her.
Riddhima looked at Armaan who was looking straight ahead driving with full focus now.
RI: Isn't it strange Armaan? Back in the house a few days earlier we had so much to talk about.Now when we are going away from each other we have nothing to chat about.
Armaan looked at Riddhima with a strange expression.
Riddhima noticed the hurt in his eyes and she felt sorry for that.She remembered that she still had to seek an answer from Armaan for that statement of his in the drunken state.
RI: Armaan you still have not answered my question.That night when you got drunk ,you told me look after Rohan and not you.Why did you say so?Did I or Rohan hurt you in any manner??? Please tell me Armaan.. What was wrong the other day?
Armaan sighed.He didn't expect that coming out of the blue.
Ridz looked at him expecting for an answer.
AR: Riddhima answers are not available for every question.I'm sorry I can't explain what I meant by that sentence.I gave you the reason but I don't know why it's so difficult for you to believe that I was just missing my parents.
RI: Armaan if you say so I believe you.But I know that is not the complete truth.I hpe one day you would tell the truth to me.
AR[In mind]: I wish that day could come Riddhima.But I can't.I don't want to risk our friendship because of my feelings.Atleast by being friends I may see you sometimes..
The car came to a halt and Armaan told Riddhima that they had reached the destination.
RI: Thanks a lot for everything Armaan.You have been a wonderful friend.I hope our friendship will remain forever.
AR: Hopefully it will Riddhima as long as you want it..
RI: Armaan why are yo saying so?
AR: Riddhima after the case gets solved you would get married to Rohan and go back to India.I don't know if Rohan would like our relationship after marriage.
RI: why won't he?He knows all what you have done for me Armaan.I will never let you go out of my life for anything.
These words of Riddhima made Armaan smile genuinely.
RI: I'm going to miss you a lot.
AR: Me too..
Riddhima felt her throat getting wet as she tried to speak more.Instead of speking she moved a little bit more towards Armaan's seat and hugged him tightly.
A few tears escaped her eyes unknowingly as Armaan hugged her back.His hands were placed around her bare waist. They didn't know what was happening to them.They just didn't want to let go of each other.Armaan nuzzled in Riddhima's hairs inhaling her fragrance to keep it forever with him while her hands caressed his back and soon one hand of hers started ruffling his hairs.
It was such a nice feeling for her.She always wished to touch his hairs which made him look more handsome..Armaan's grip on her waist tightened and Riddhima gasped as she felt Armaan's lips on her hairs.He placed a soft kiss there.Feeling her shiver a little ,he knew that his touch affected her. There was something between them more than friendship, Armaan realized.Riddhima clutched Armaan's hairs tightly as he placed another kiss on her forehead.She hesistaingly looked into his blue orbs and he looked back in her greens. This was the mistake they should have never done.It made them lose all their senses. Armaan placed another kiss on Riddhima's cheeks making her close her eyes.She looked at him again and Armaan titled his head a little leaving a small peck on her nose. Armaan leaned in towards her lips and she closed her eyes anticipating his manly lips upon hers.Armaan smiled as he noticed her waiting for him to make the final move.But he came back to his senses the very moment and moved towards her earlobe.He whispered slowly in her ears: good bye Riddhima.I hope we will meet again soon.
Riddhima opened her eyes and that frown on her face showed that she was not happy with him backing off.Armaan was confused seeing her reaction.If she loved Rohan why did she let him to kiss her so easily.He was sure that she would not have regretted if he would have kissed her.
RI: Good bye Armaan.Take care.
Saying that she almost ran to the house where Rohan lived.Her heart was thudding against her chest.she had completely lost herself in Armaan today.This has happened before also but today she desperately wanted him to take her in his arms and kiss like crazy. She was attracted to him,she knew.But today she felt that it was more than attraction.But she still had to find out that'

A few days passed by and Armaan and Riddhima lived their own lives away from each other. While Riddhima was enjoying her time with the family,Armaan was busy in investigating Riddhima and other few cases.
Atul,Rahul,abhi,Muskaan and Niki all were worried seeing Armaan working day and night.He was a workaholic, but these days they saw him extremely depressed and frustrated at work.A few junior officers had become a victim of his foul mood. Rahul and Atul knew that it was all because of Riddhima but first they needed to confirm it from Armaan.
Things were not fine between two other people as well in FBI.Niki had refused to talk to Abhi even once after that kiss.He tried almost a hundred times but she was not ready to hear a word from him.He had called her,went to her house to apologize but all that was in vain.
One day Rahul invited Armaan and Atul at his place for dinner.Anjali had gone to meet her parents and sister.So she was not present there.Niki's cousin was getting married.so she could not come while Abhi had to go to meet his parents who lived in Chicago due to which he could not make up for the dinner..
RA: Hey guys how are you.
AR: Rahul we met in the morning itslef and now you are asking us how are we.We are fine ok..
MU: oye why are you so much irritated these days???? Haan..He has asked you just a simple question.
AR: OMG!! Muski you are supporting rahul.Has the sun set in east today?
MU: oye chup kar acha cha ab aaja.mujhe na bade zoron ki bhookh lagi hai
ATUL: haan haan Muskaan chalo hum khana khate hain..
As they sat on the dining table and started the dinner Armaan asked Rahul: waise aaj achanak yeh dinner plan kaise?
RA: who actually hamein tumhare saath kuch share karna tha..
ATUL: What is that Rahul.
Rahul looked at Muskaan and she blushed a little.
RA: woo hmm'
AR: Cut it down Rahul.jaldi batao na..
RA: Gusy wo we are going to be parents.
Armaan and Atul stopped eating and looked at them '
AR: What? OMG! Congratulations guys.
AT: Congratulations dude.I'm glad that you finally thought about starting a family..
AR: Muski ab samajh mein aaraha hai why you were taking his side.after all eyh tumhare hone wale bache ka papa jo hai'
Muskaan blushed as Armaan teased her related to her bollywood films addiction..
AR: I'm so happy for you guys.I'm going to be chachu soon.Wow!!
The dinner was over and now they were enjoying the dessert in the living hall.
MU: waise Armaan ek baat toh bata.aaj kal tu itna ukhda ukhda kyun rehta hai?
Armaan's smile faltered as heard her question.
RA: Well I think Armaan meer paas ek plan hai jisse hum teri problem ka pat laga sakein..
AR: Guys there is no problem at all. I'm fine..
AT: Armaan hum tujhe bachpan se jante hain.kuch toh hai jo tumhain pichle 10 months se pareshan kar raha hai.Aaj hum tumhari us problem ka pata laga kar rahenge.
AR: Bhai please aisi koi baat nahin hai.
RA: Oh Come on Armaan.Let's play a game.
AR: Game what sort of game?
RA: It's like a rapid fire game.I'll give you a word and you to tell me a word back in relation to that word without taking a second's gap.
AR: what is this Rahul?It's all stupid..
RA: Let it be stupid.We just want you to play with us..
AR: ok fine.Shoot..
Atul and Muskaam looked at the duo with curiosity..
RA: White

As soon as Armaan said Riddhima,he froze.
ATUL: Finally you dared to admit that you have fallne in love with Riddhima

Armaan was fuming right now.They tricked him so tactfully.
RA: We know that Armaan.Finally we know that Riddhima is your problem and solution as well.
AT: Armaan why didn't you tell us before. When did you fall for her?Since ten moths you have been loving her but I understand how you met her.
Armaan sighed.
MU: Armaan ab bata bhi dena.kyun khamakha mein bhav kha raha hai.
Armaan smiled at his jhalli friend..
He told everyone how he lost his heart to Riddhima at the very first sight of her'
After hearing the whole story,Atul said: What do you think about Riddhima's feelings towards you?
AR: I'm quite confused about her bhai.Sometimes I feel that she also likes me.But when I see her with Rohan and the comfort level they share,I realize that Rohan also loves her a lot. She also loves him-I think'''
RA: I'm sorry dude..
AR: Why are you sorry Rahul? If I feel something for Riddhima, it's not necessary that she should also reciprocate the same way..So why should you or I be sorry. I'm happy that I had fallen for her and I'll cherish the memory of the moments I've spend with her all my life.Right now the only aim of my life is to find that vivek and his boss and get my love out of this mess.
