Okay SO. I'm a full day late in posting this. Examinations aren't exactly my idea of free time, I suppose. But I HAD to come in here to put in my two cents on last night's Haye Rama sequence. How completely BRILLIANT were SwaRon last night?!! I mean...WHOA! 😲
It was worth EVERY bit of the anticipation all us SwaRon pankhas had barely managed to contain during the agonising wait since the promo first aired. And since I LOVED the entire sequence, and I mean really LOVED each and every bit of it, that I can't help but put in here a list of my absolute FAVOURITE moments in it...
First the beginning...they started off exactly like their earlier Paso Doble rehearsal...slow, measured movements, and a building up of intensity as the basis for what is to follow...
Then, the familiar first touch, as his hand caresses her shoulder, aquires a wholly unfamiliar, explosive tone, for them AND for us, like we know this time isn't nearly the same as the last time they danced this...😳
And then, there's no looking back, as they lose themselves intermittently to the aggression, the intensity, and to each other...I LOVED the way he dragged her across the floor like this...sigh! 😍
Then, Sharon pushes him down onto the floor, like she's trying to reassert that she's beyond his reach, like he's made his biggest mistake in trying to have her...but this isn't the Swayam of two weeks ago. Not only does he get back on his feet, but he grabs and pulls her to himself, and she can do nothing to resist...😳
And then, something that made my heart skip a beat. I can find no words to describe how this felt, just that I was WHOA-ed out of my senses for a couple of moments...they made this back arch look SO beautiful and SO graceful! 👏
The lift...we've seen it before during the Salsa, but never charged with this degree of intensity and involvement...I LOVED how he flipped her in mid air so cleanly and sat down on one knee like it's the easiest thing in the world...Shantanu, my friend, WELL DONE! And then the way he looks into her eyes as he lowers her to the floor! Hayye! 😍
She attempts to roll away, turn her face from the eyes she knows she can't tear herself away from without painful effort. But he comes to her...his eyes yearn for hers because they know her eyes yearn for his too, eventhough she'd NEVER admit it even to herself...
I LOVED Shantanu's expressions in this whole portion, when Swayam feels the caress of Sharon's soft hair across his face, or the tenderness of her lips almost touching his hand...wow! 😳
I mean, just LOOK at them. The expressions on their faces, the intensity in their eyes...need I even say anything to elaborate? 😍
CVs, THANK YOU from the very bottom of our hearts, as SwaRon lovers, for giving us something so BEAUTIFUL, so BRILLIANTLY conceptualised and executed to such utter PERFECTION by Shantanu and Sneha! Touchwood, you guys! And THANK YOUUU...!! 🤗
So, all you other SwaRon pankhas...favourite moments in last night's moment-filled extravaganza? Hm? 😃
